Gilbert Riparian Institute

The Gilbert Riparian Institute is a preserve where treated wastewater is put back into the ground creating a rich environment for natural habitats to form, in turn, attracting beautiful wildlife. The Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch provides a great opportunity for bird watching. Close to 200 species of birds have been sighted and visitors come from all over to see our beautiful and sometimes rare birds. Over 170,000 people visit the preserve each year and has become one of Gilbert's main tourist attractions. For more information visit www.riparianinstitute.org.
