Not as fun to play as the older version. As others have said ruined by all the ads and a much less playable layout. Please bring back the old version.

I've been playing for over 10 years, and I swear I paid for the ad free version. Over the years, the ads returned, and I just lived with them because they were unintressive. But now they are just ridiculous...please return to the app I loved.

YOU RUINED IT! I've been playing this game for literally years. When I open it today I find an ugly new interface that doesn't even display correctly on my S7, but the opponent I've been playing (again, for years) is gone, replaced by childish cartoon characters. Crud, I've got a lot of time invested in the match with my opponent! The colors scheme is a garish gold instead of a more traditional "green felt" look. Looks like I have to look for a new Gin game. I was willing to put up with the intrusive ads, but I'm not willing to put up with losing my progress and an ugly, ugly interface and infantile graphics. EDIT: I think it is adorable that the developer thinks I am going to take the time to get this abomination to display correctly. The problem isn't on my end, it's on the developer's end. Also, my opponent is gone and my running progress against that opponent is gone, so no matter what my saved statistics are, they don't transfer to a new opponent. Read the reviews of your users and see what a great job you did on this update. I'm off to play someone else's game.

Add my name to the long list of those angered by the ads. If only I could dial it back to the days when ads appeared between games, not hands. And the sound! The ads' sound doesn't just interrupt any music that's playing, it pauses it, requiring a manual resume. I love the looks of this game, which is why I played it for years. Now I'm looking for another.

The ads have become untenable. Constant banner on play screen. Ads on score sheet, tough to read the score. Ads in-between almost every hand. I get that you want to make money, I get it. But this is completely and utterly ridiculous. Uninstalling. Will find another gin game. Tons of them on the play store. Take a look at all of the negative feedback that you've been receiving. Most of it is predominantly about the ads.

The new interface is trash. It looks like you gave your beautifully designed and easily playable game to the new person who knows NOTHING about game design, asked them to give it a new hairdo, then accepted all the changes without looking at them. And the full playing adds! If I can't exit out of the add, I exit it of the game. And you really need to get rid of that totally racist beginner character! WHY did you "fix" something that wasn't broken at all? You've shot yourselves in the foot.

Ugh!!!! I used to adore this app, and have played it for years. I just finished uninstalling it, much to my chagrin. The ads are asinine, and block a portion of the screen. The HUGE ads every time a game ends is annoying as all hell, and the bar at the bottom blocks the cards constantly. I absolutely hate saying any of this, seeing as how I loved this app, and really enjoyed the mental break it gave me. I get having to make $$, but this is ridiculous.

Excellent, realistic card game. Just updated to ad free version, but still interrupted by ads. Although I paid for the ad-free version, and uninstalled and re-download this game app, I'm still interrupted by ads, some of which are 30 seconds long. I've contacted Maple software 3, but not getting any help. I've also examined the app for help. This kind of conduct reflects poorly on Maple software.

This app used to be good--one of my favorites to play. But with the recent update it's terrible! The graphics are much worse--the cards are smaller, making it harder to see & to select the appropriate card. It looks too cartoon--too juvenile. And the ADS... OMG. You are required to sit through an ad after pretty much every hand, & for 30 seconds for some! Ridiculous. I'm super bummed cuz I really miss the way it had been. Uninstalling.

Game updated without my permission on my tablet. I hate the new format, as the card layout and background make it difficult to see. But worst of all, are the ADS! Ads pop up and you have to wait for up to 30-40 seconds for the ads to finish before you can tell it "No" and continue on with playing. Even then, after 2 or 3 iterations of ads, you have to close the game out and reopen it to continue playing. They took an excellent game and ruined it. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!

I played this app for years, and finally bought it, it was so good. They recently radically changed the format; I can no longer read the cards well enough to play (smaller, with bizarre icons and contrasts; I am 70). Can't be changed in preferences. I am disappointed and unhappy, and have uninstalled the app for good. 10/24: they finally gave a link to the classic game, and then demand that I buy it again to get rid of the ads! 10/25: They have refunded my money! Excellent!

The "new and improved " look is awful. I can't tell the difference between any red cards, which causes me to draw or discard the wrong thing. Wish you had design options to choose from. Too cartoonish for my taste. I will be deleting this app and trying elsewhere. Previous version would have gotten more stars.

I used to love this game; it was one of my favorites for years. After this last update, however, I think I'm done. I stuck with this app when the developers added controversial opponents, came out with the polarizing ad system, etc. This latest update took away the thing I appreciated most: The look and feel. This now feels like I'm playing a kids cartoon game rather than gin rummy. The changes in card appearance, background, and opponents was too much at once.

Once great now horrible. The ads are intrusive. I purchased the game several years ago and played almost everyday. Loved the interface and functionality. Then ads started to show again. Contacted developers and their responses was the ads give the game a better experience. Really? Even though I paid to not have ads. Clearly being a paid customer means nothing to this company. Do not buy!

I have had this game for a decade. Has always been one of my favorite games. Unfortunately the last update had ruined this game for me. Adding President Trump, a few updates ago, was a bad move but I was able to move past it and still enjoy the game. But the new look is horrible! Avatars look like a child's 1st reader book and worse yet the cards are now hard to read and the new setup is hard to use. Poorly designed Nd ruined what was my go to game for my phone. Wish I could give zero stars.

Oh dear god, what HAPPENED? I'm not certain that there's been much changed in play, because the game went from a simple, perfectly fine appearance to a horrible pre-school experience, without even an option to revert. Looks like I'm either going to have to source an old version to install, or switch to some other gin app, because I couldn't even get through two games without wanting to scrub my eyes with a wire brush. UPDATE - look for the Classic version, it's the old game! 😃😃😃😃😃

Hate the new look, loaded the game today and thought somehow the wrong game got installed. The cards are much harder to read now and distinguish. And since I purchased this app, I'm really feeling ripped off. Time to look for another gin Rummy game. If I could find a way to install the last version and then disallow updates, I would keep it, but so far haven't had any luck with that. Edit: it's not as bad on my 10" tablet, cards are easier to read, but that bright yellow card back is horrid.

Hate the app now with the new ad functionality. Ads are loud and hard to close and i cant play when i want or need quiet. There are way too many other options out there for me to settle for this obnoxiousness. UPDATE: I got the new update and at least the ads aren't loud now, but 30 second ads are exhausting even if quiet. I was a long time user but deleting today.

Used to be awesome. I just reinstalled it, the game is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Its terrible! The graphics are horrible, thr game ply is constantly interrupted with long ads. I'm very disappointed. This used to be my favorite game. I hate that i ever uninstalled it to begin with. I still have this game in my Kindle. I'll have to make sure I never update it! Change this game back to thr original.

Way too many ads ( an ad after every hand). Please go back to the original, better by 1000%. I have the original on my other device, now I know never to upgrade. One question did a young Child design this? Way too Cartoon like. Just found the clasic on here, so I uninstalled this, and in stalled thatnone and WILL NOT UPDATE. Update the so call classic has the same ads after each Hand. Will uninstall this POS game and just playmon my phone.

Another user of the app with its former UI. I am more than willing to pay for an ad-free version of the right Gin Rummy game. But due to the intrusive ads- Between. Every. Single. Hand. I can't get into any kind of rhythm or strategy to even tell if I like playing it!

This used to be the only game I played, and I loved it. I played it for YEARS on every phone and tablet I had. I am VERY dissatisfied with the latest "update". It looks cartoonish, ugly and there are too many ads. There was NOTHING wrong with the old version. It was grown-up, intelligent and made total sense. I HATE this new version, and that view is apparently shared by many other (ex) users. It WAS a great game, before the update. Restore the old version without ads, or bye! You ruined it!!!

The previous version was my go-to game for years. The icon for the app remains the same but when I loaded it to play today, I was completely taken aback. Nothing about this updated version is even remotely the same! The bright gold and small cards make it extremely hard to see...and I'm in my 20s! I tried to find the option to at least switch the display to something a bit easier on my eyes, with no luck. It looks like I'll be joining the rest of you in the endeavor to find a better app!

Loved this game but after the update, I can no longer see the card numbers without extreme difficulty. I know it has been said the cards did not get smaller, but I was able to play without glasses before and now can not play without 2.0 reading glasses. Please bring back the prior format. If not, then good luck in your future endeavors, but I will be switching to another game where I can see the cards without eye strain.

Hate this new version, can barely read the cards, very difficult to move cards because they are so small. Going to look for a different version. Ashame, I have been playing the older version for years. Didn't even have the option to not upgrade.
