Gin Rummy Free

I really liked this game until it stopped working. I had been playing it off and on for about a day before it started force closing itself over and over. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now it's just stuck on the main screen. My phone is brand new and up to date so I don't believe it's my phone.

The ads USED to be minimum, but they recently made a change making it nearly impossible to play. The ad comes on, but doesn't go away. If you touch the screen at all, it takes you to your phone's store to download the ad app. Very frustrating. I used to love the game, but now I don't want to sit here for a minute or more with no timer, no bottom line marking the ad's progress, and not having a clue when I'll finally be able to access the game. The ads are just still pics with no escape.

AI cheats. It's the only explanation for why the AI always knocks after 1, 2 or 3 cards but not the player. I've played Gin for over 55 yrs and no human has ever drawn cards like this. It's uncanny how you discard one card of a run of two, then the next card you draw would have given you a run. Also, you can only knock when your hand has fewer points than the up card in the deal, not 10 points for every hand. This game is really boring since the AI always knocks so early. Junk!

Simple to play, as easy or as challenging as you want. Well designed game. My favourite rummy. introducing different varieties of the game would add to the fun, but still deserves 5 stars as is! Great Game, Great Fun.

While I enjoy this game, I can't help noticing that in so many instances, when my opponent goes out, the top card on the discard pile is one I could have used to go out myself on my next turn. This should happen rarely in a properly dealt deck, and not around every second time as has been my experience. And the skill level of the opponent makes no difference. It's quite off-putting.

I've been enjoying this game and I don't even mind the adds...but I've as of late, for no reason I can think of, while I'm play the game the screen will change and I'll find myself on Google play on some app page. I don't know what is going on but it needs to stop.

runs great. gameplay is not interrupted by advertising so you can actually enjoy a complete game! this is how ad support should be done.

Decent. Why do all of your games need to start multiple times? This game and every Ai factory game ive tried, on multiple devices, gets to the main screen then closes again when i press start.... is this so you can tell advertisers that you get twice as many plays as you really do? They all do it, it's weird and annoying. Good game but half the time, I play something else because i dont wanna sit through multiple startups....

It's a fun game if you don't really expect to win that often when the AI is dealt only one card and wins more often than not it's obvious the computer can't be beat

I have played Gin to for many years and have always been thrilled by it . This is not an exception I enjoyed playingplayingplayinplaying playing playing

The small ad banner at bottom is ok which has been way the game has been for a long time. Recently added a full add after each game is rediculous.

This game as all other games cheat. They cheat every chance. It's funny you'll need one card and your opponent will get five good cards and win the game. I shouldn't give it any stars.

Challenging and fun. The best part is that ads are minimum and very tolerable. Thanks for not putting ads that one has to wait. Update: As of 2/22, the newer ads are lengthier and more obnoxious. I exit when an impossibly long ad comes on.

quick and nice variety of opponents' skill levels. Edit: latest has ads out of control. Tries to get you to install other apps and won't let you continue with the game. Uninstalling.

It is hard to defend that the games are not rigged when you win 4 or 5 hands and the opponent wins just 1 or 2 hands, then suddenly the opponent is declared as the winner. Not sure how the developer calculates the probability of the same things happening over 200+ games but okay. 😅

The best one that I have tried. Hardly NO ads, you have control of the cards, difficulty levels, plus I can see the opponents last cards. Much more enjoyable!

So disappointed as the Ai player gets a winning hand in two moves over and over again. Not happy!

Too many ads and sometimes cannot get out of them. Had to delete.

Something is very wrong with your game because when I playing it and win it gives me a low score or it gives it to the other player and when the other player wins it gives them a big score that's not fair at all. I am being generous with one star. Not a happy gamer for your game.

Easy to play, not confusing, instructions easy to find and understand. Prompts given, sort option, yes, I like it. Also it doesn't annoy with all the ads after every hand. Also the cards dealt don't appear to be pre-sorted into losing or winning hands which is a bonus for me. It feels like I'm playing real cards. Thank you for providing this game !!

Update created a nightmare! I tried everything AI said to try including the double arrow and back button to get rid of the new 30 second ads; nothing worked. Now some of the ads play in the background when you are playing the game. You can't get to the ad to shut it off. This app is no longer useable in its current form and the developer is unresponsive. Download from someone else!

Learned game quickly. Would be nice if we could use our own backgrounds like hearts and spades. Won't purchase pro without that option. Also dislike my cards being sorted as they are dealt to me before I even have a chance to look at them. I never use the sort option. Doesn't seem to be be an option to change this. Being able to chose how long match is would also be great. 100 goes by really fast. But all in all solid game.

Good game! Some of the opponents rating for difficulty is way off...such as some of the 1 star players are more difficult than the 3 star ones. Overall it is a good game and I like that if you stop in a game when you come back you are where you left it and not starting over with a new game. Seems pretty random for deal too, and if you do undo moves and use different cards the other player re-figures what they play and don't win every game.

Love this game. Thanks so much for writing it. Trouble is...I'm seriously hooked! Yes there adverts as it's free but they only come up at the end of matches so I can live with that. 1 problem discovered: A used card turns up again later in the same game. This should not happen. PS how do you get a screenshot of that?! (as suggested to another user).

The graphics are good, but the game needs work. The opponent knocks at 10 or below, and it can't be turned off, so if you draw 10 cards in a hand, that's a long game. The number of opponent laydowns off the first draw is uncanny. This would be a good game if you could actually PLAY it. The ads are fair in that they don't interfere with game play, but the x-box to close them is so small, you almost always end up at the Play Store and have to force the app closed to get out of the ad, then restart.

Good app, only problem I've had is the fact that a previously declined or discarded card will sometimes pop up again in the flip in the same round. For example, if I discard a 9 of hearts, it'll come up three cards later of the same round. Definitely a problem, but still a fun app. Edit: Also, why can the A.I. knock with half a hand of deadwood but I'm not allowed to knock until I have basically a full hand? That seems a little disadvantageous to the player having less opportunities to knock.

Frickin' terrible! Not the game itself, that's fine. However, the ads are out of control. By that, I mean I might simply switch computer opponents (having literally not played a single card), yet I'm forced to watch a video - with blaring sound - that not only autoplays, but cannot be "X'ed" out. This app locks you out of your own phone for the duration of the ad, then a secondary period, basically forcing you to visit the Google Play Store in order to resume normal functions. Beyond obnoxious.

Initially gave this app 1 star but I will give it 2 more stars for the developers quick response thank you.
