Message sending is hilariously broken. The send button always brings up the audio record function. Still can't figure out how to send text messages.
Edited with an update: After my post Gizmo Hub support reached out to me to help resolve the problem. It took a little troubleshooting with my email account but I did get my verification code and I am all set up now. Looking forward to using this app with the Gizmo users in my contacts!! I appreciate their prompt attention to helping me. 😊 Won't even send me the verification code! I've Uninstalled 3 times and tried again and again. I've checked spam but nothing. Frustrating.
Messages don't go through, the watch won't check for updates. Notifications aren't shown from my kid, the whole point is to be able to have your child message you and vice-versa. Update the app please! It used to work flawlessly!
Got a watch and tried adding it though the app went through all the steps but when I got to the point of adding the watch plan it wouldn't load the screen I tried doing this as (new customer) and still after clicking wouldn't load anything. So I now have a useless watch my daughter can't use until they fix this app.
The app is great, but the Gizmo charger is terrible. It needs to go back to the plug in charger. Please go back to the old chargers
I love that my autistic son cannot turn off the phone, that I can set it to auto answer, that he can't delete all of the contacts, that I can see where he is and that he cannot do a factory reset every dang day like he did with the $600 "smart" phone that he out-smarted! He is 36, slightly verbal, reads/writes and is a wizard with electronics. I just found out there's a Gizmo watch that doesn't look like it's for a 3 yr old. Gonna buy that one soon! And I LOVE the $5 monthly service!!!
Love the GPS, however I don't like that there is a limit to the amount of numbers you can program in and you can't dial out to 911. Do that and you'll get a 5/5
Provides necessary freedom when the world can be a scary place. It alerts me if child is out of specific area. ex.my son can go to the park but not to the gas station it alerts me.Notifies when he has left school. Glitches with sending messages, the microphone & send button not working properly to send the message.Have to sign back into the app often even if I didn't shut it down/sign out.I appreciate the forced answer feature (esp if lost) Charger has issues.Get protection plan& screen cover.
I am surprised at the comments here. I have had a very good experience with the watch and it gives me a sense of security knowing where my child is. I wish the child could text me instead of the preset answers but the voice recorder helps.
love how the app allows freedom to those who need it. the only downfall is the gps is not always accurate. it could ping a few blocks away from where they acutally are to miles away. wish that they were more accurate like they said that they are. (about 700 yards)
Good to help keep in contact with my kids and my kids can. Call or text there friends. love it!
The app itself works fine for me, but the settings could be set up easier for each device. The gizmos could definitely use improvement. We have 3 watches and I have School Mode set up weekdays during a set time, but it randomly turns itself on so our kids can't even use the watches most of the time. Also, it would be WAY more helpful if we could set who our children can text and call with each contact, rather than having to set them as a guardian with the app, or just a calling contact.
