(Galaxy S9) Have been using GU on my three PCs for a very long time, and it works brilliantly, but this Android version is... uninspiring. The interface is bare bones and lacks informative direction, unlike the PC version which has myriad features, info and choices. I don't expect that much depth as in the PC version, but some indication of what has been found and what is happening and a choice of action(s) would make the app much more appealing and user friendly.
Would not recommend. The windows app is amazing. Leagues ahead of whatever this is supposed to be. The cleaning feature gets stuck on the first file and spins and spins. The app manager just shows my installed apps. When I hit the uninstall nothing happened. There is something called "boost phone" when pressing it, it displayed that my phone was now "boosted". The only thing that happened, for whatever reason my RAM usage skyrocketed. So over all this was a waist of time.
I guess I should have read reviews First. Downloaded onto my pc, works fantastic. So I thought I'd put it on my tablet, having same issues as others - won't scan or delete files/apps. Then come to find out hasn't been updated since 2019! Guess they don't care about fixing the issues as everyone has the same problems. Will reinstall my other cleaning app and just keep using it. Waste of time. Don't do it until they update it!!
This app no longer works at all. Whenever I try to scan for junk, it hangs on scanning a non-existent folder at /storage/emulated/0/DuoKan. When I try to do a phone boost, it tells me "Congratulations, your phone was boosted!" without actually DOING anything. I'm deleting this app until these problems are fixed.
Desktop version is great and works like a charm. Mobile version is nothing short of trash! Every time I ran a scan it got stuck! I tried reinstalling it multiple times and the issue still would arise. Awful.
DOESN'T WORK AND REPORTS GET IGNORED. DON'T LOAD IT. DON'T LOAD IT. Despite having reported this app multiple as not working, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. The app just hangs up on the first checking stage with a spinning wheel. I've run it for two hours and it never progresses. The fault has been reported multiple times, but not yet corrected. No point installing, because it doesn't work at all.
I'm an avid GU user on PC. I've been recommending it for years! But it seems that the devs have stopped working on this app since june 2019. It's sad really. It was a really great app. It doesnt detect my 512GB SD card. It hangs while scanning for junk files, it doesn't boost. Says 0% for ram, yet I have 12GB ram on my Note 10+. Its sad they abandoned this app...
We use it on our laptops and phones. It's one the Top, the best tune up utilities, I personally have had to test out for several years now! Their apps/ software are top notch! Thanks! 😀
When cleaning junk files, gets to a particular file then stops, always in the same place, still shows it as working, but even leaving it overnight, it is still on the same file, so, doesn't work so good.
I guess the developers aren't reading the reviews. The vast majority are criticizing the same problem. I have it in my pc and it works great so i decided to get it on my phone to get the same greatness. Guess what? It doesn't work at all. It takes so much time to find junk to clean that i thought my phone froze. I would have saved time if i had only read the reviews. To the developer; why make an app and then not follow it up?
The PC app is FANTASTIC, so I decided to give the mobile app a try, and I'm sorry to say I'm quite disappointed. Many functions in this app aren't, well, functional. I've tried uninstalling other apps using this app and nothing changes, no matter how many times I change permissions to ensure it has that access. This app is lacking in other basic phone utility features that many other apps very commonly include as well. As much as I like the PC program, I can't recommend this mobile app.
Thi Android App is not what I expected from the legendary Glary utilities. the unistall doesn't work. the mem booster is not boosting anything. 2 useful utilities in the entire App I have the pro for the computer and it works great. I'm disappointed with the App. it doesn't reflect your reputation. very poor.
I use Glary Utilities on my PC and love it. So I downloaded this on my phone to clean up junk files. Well, it turns out that it won't work. It just sits there spinning and doing nothing. Even the stop button fails! Completely useless app.
I've used this on a PC before and I was expecting more. Like being able to see runnimg processes, whixh it can't do. The cleanup featurea are slow. You look and look but there isn't anything useful.
As a subscriber to their brilliant Windows app my expectations were high. Sadly this is just awful. If I didn't check what it was going to delete it would have trashed critical app files. Interface is mediocre and my advice is to delete it. I'll give them 6 months and take another look but for now this app is worse than garbage.
Junk file scan doesn't work, I see the same issues in the feedback comments. Why hasn't this been addressed? I use the PC version which is very useful, the android version, not so much! Fix it or remove it!!
Been using this software in all of my PCs and tablets and smartphone technology for years and it is reliable and it handles all of the issues that come with being online and being connected to the cyberspace network of things. Awesome indeed.
Doesn't function when scanning files on my Android phone. Works fantastic on my PC its too bad they haven't kept up with the times and created a working app for other devices. It's a real shame
I tell it to scan for Junk files and it tells me that I have junk files but when I ask it to clean it it says please pick the ones you want clean. When I pick them it doesn't clean it. It continues to say pick the ones that you want cleaned. Very annoying.
I dont know about this app because i use SD Maid Pro and everyone knows that can never be beaten. I'm here to give feedback for Glarys Utilities Pro on Windows 7 64 bit and have to say its so good that I've uninstalled both CCleaner Professional and Avast Cleanup Premium. Although these are great programs, GU Pro is even better than both of these put together by a very very long way. Thankyou GU. p.s i'm sure you'll get there with the app soon, android can be a tough place.
I have used Glary utilities on my laptop for many years. This program works but is not as easy as the program. I don't find a wipe free space choice maybe a cellphone doesn't have one, and I am not sure if I cleaned anything. I will try program for a while and see how it works.
The most useless thing ever created!!!! They should of kept solely to the pc pro edition at least it works and you can set the settings!!!! I installed this and gave it a chance to do its job and it really failed miserably. I would honestly be ashamed to even put this up on playstore. It is nothing worse than snake oil. If you want the amount of people to increase in satisfaction & show it through download numbers make this thing work properly!!!!! You owe it to us that have followed you 4 years
It has been two weeks since I paid for a subscription to Glary Utilities Pro. This is my fourth time trying to get help downloading the app. In my last sent message, I asked for a cancellation of my order and my money back. You have not responded to this request. It is impossible to connect with a living person. Replies received from Faith Lee and Michael Song were of no help. I am sending you this message and will post it as a review. Waste of time. As has been mentioned the windows version is excellent but this mobile app is utter rubbish. Glary should work at fixing the app or remove it completely.
I've used the desktop version for years & it's 5 ⭐. So far this mobile version is working good. Junk file processing is slow & hangs. I'll continue with optimistic testing.
Doesn't work, I should have read the comments before installing. When executing a Junk File scan. It will hang on a folder and that's it. Uninstalling the App. Stay safe
Junk file scan never terms, several times I have requested support; nothing just pro forma return. Have used glary on pc for 8 years ,it's great. This phone version is very poor and no support. Try CC.
I have the paid desktop version and it's excellent. This app falls extremely short. It scans for empty folders and found 80. It makes me select each one lol. I press clean and it says I need to select items? I just selected 80! App team needs to be fired. If you try the app first you would not get a good impression of the company and therefore would not buy the desktop suite. You are shooting yourself in the foot Glarysoft.
