Edit: Working now. Thanks! ------------------ Does not load. Says Oops. Try again. I keep trying and the loading bar will fill a tiny bit then go back to the Oops page. Maybe should rename it to the Oops App... It's an app that let's you experience dread and despair over and over again. Must be Kremlin made.
The new update allowed me to use the pupillary distance scanner. It seemed to work quite well. There was a little variation between scans but I just used the average distance. I'm glad the developers didn't give up and got there product to a point that worked on my device.
i downloaded the app last night it will not scan the QR code it just sounds like a skipped record that kees telling me to scan the qr code bu t never finished the full statement n repeats over and over. I did send a message telling them of this via the app, it says response in 4 hours .. today well after noon there was no response wish it would work as this is apparently one of the best out there, but it will not work as it happened again today and customer service has never responded to me
I ended up with pretty consistent results. For the eyeglass lens scanning part, I had to prop my phone on a surface to get it to work. I think the phone needed to be held very still (that also let me use two hands to move my glasses carefully too)
Cannot get the scan to even start. I feel like a fool for holding a card against my monitor while the voice constantly repeats to make sure that the dots are all aligned. My monitor is 27" and I'm holding it exactly the way the tutorial played it. Ridiculous.
This app is really easy to use and pretty darn close also. I mean if you're using it to get the IPD on your VR headset at the right setting this app will do the trick without needing a stupid ruler. I did it three times to see if it was going to be different results each time and was surprised that the readings were consistent. Not only that, but I had already had my IPD on my headset at the right setting. So this app pretty much just gave me confirmation that I was using the right setting.
Clicked on the PD Scan and then it comes up with a white box with a man animating in it and that's the end of my experience. Nothing ever happens and you can't do anything. Don't bother.
Pretty close to the prescription numbers. One lens had sphere and cylinder off by 0.25 and the axis off by only 3. The other had both sphere and cylinder dead on, but axis off by 14. Overall, a pretty reliable test if you don't have your prescription handy. Instructions were very clear and concise. Process was simple.
Wow amazing. One tip - seems to work best with a magnetic card which has a distinct magnetic stripe, i.e. a black magnetic stripe on a white background.
The scan never starts, waited for a few minutes and it just sits on the loading screen doing its stupid little animation.
Quick and easy way to measure pupillary distance! Took the measurement a few times to average results.
Surprised I wanted to double check my pd because it changed from the one I had the previous year. I tested it several times and the results were closed and it reflected my current pd.
I forgot my glasses prescription and decided to try this out. It turned out pretty accurate i think, the values are more or less what i expected.
Update: I'll give this 5 stars again when it's not broken on Android 12. Csnt open as it claims there had been a problem. All permissions granted. Perfect for me. Used it to get my ipd for VR (quest 2) and seemed to work fine. Loved the voice instructions and didn't even use a magnetic card, I used an old bus pass! (same size)
Doesn't work. No sound, PD scan just hangs at an animated gif forever.
Didn't work for me. Used S22 Ultra, kept saying "make sure the dots are on the screen" which they are. Tried a 13', 14', and 27' screen to no avail. Tried 5 different credit cards and no luck.
Doesn't work at all. Tried the pupillary distance scan and it just yells "your phone is too close" over and over again, even if I'm holding it as far away from me as possible.
I used this to verify my PD, which I had calculated using the ruler method because the value was not on my prescription. It matched the PD I had calculated perfectly and it even validated that prescription on my glasses using some dual-screen magic. Nice app!
It doesn't work. Click both buttons and nothing happens. There's an agreement on the bottom that's cut off which is probably why it's not working.
Doesn't work on pixel 3. I click the PD measurement to start, and it just shows an animation endlessly and never starts
Pd distance doesn't work. I click on it and it doesn't leave the glasses animation.
Keeps crashing whenever I open the app. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem.
I could not get this app to work. I tried to use the pupillary calculator button at the bottom but it is covered up by the "you must accept the Terms of use and privacy policy" disclaimer. I clicked on both links provided, flipped through them and I could not find a button to click on to accept for either so the message will not go away. Right now zero stars for being unusable.
Works great, helped me finally dial in my headset. If you're not some super self absorbed person and have only turned your front facing camera on by mistake, this will not be as easy as you think it will be. I've never taken a "selfie" so I started to feel like a damned idiot getting my face and phone at the proper angle, really glad my kids aren't here right now. App works great the problems aren't on thier end it's definitely user induced.
IPD measurement made simple and free, using your camera and an item held up for scale. Rest easy! NO NEED to try unorthodox methods like pointed measurement calipers held close to eyeballs! Two attempts with this app gave results within 0.5mm and agreed with my optometrist. And for VR, I definitely agree with the results as it is easiest on my eyes when I use my IPD as measured.
Would liked to have tried the PD function but it would not work. It installed without a problem, but clicking on the onscreen button for the PD Test did nothing... at all. Uninstalled, reinstalled and still has the same outcome. YMMV.
I gotta say I was not expecting much for the free option and i was scheptical when they asked for a magnetic strip card but it measured it correctly and was able to accurately figure out my pd so that I could get my oculus quest 2 eye pieces done correctly Only thing I would recommend is allowing different units of measurement but overall I highly recommend if you need to know your eye distance. Thank you, Sincerely
This is a great app when it works. I have used it in the past with no problems and great results. For the past 5 days I have tried to use it and the app will not open on either my or my wife's phones. I have sent two messages to support through the app itself and haven't received any response.
PD scan doesnt work stuck at the gif animation, I don't hear any voice and checked my volume. Galaxy s9
My review yesterday was brief I was in a hurry. I just saw many recent negative reviews that are unjustified about how the app didn't work at first. Yes, it got stuck circling when it first opened it, too. I just closed the app and reopened it after the initial install and it worked fine. It's a pretty cool app. Easy too I wish it also measured MPD for progressive lenses, but it doesn't. Ordering my glasses online. If these guys also made lenses I'd use them. Thanks for the app.
