As usual with App developers, they had a good app and they screwed it up. It used to be simple and fast to use. Need to make a credit card payment immediately? You could quickly transfer from checking or savings. NOT ANYMORE!! Now you have to pretend GLCU is an outside bank and set your credit card payment up with GLCU's routing number and your account number. Dumb, dumb, dumb. The App is just more complicated, so you can do a bunch of stuff you never wanted to do in the first place.
Easy to use. Portable. The only area I dislike is the credit card. It is not easy to use.
Very easy app, I can see every deposit and every transaction.
The app worked great until my Galaxy S9+ was updated to Android version 9 and installed Samsung's One UI version 1. Now i get an error "Service temporarily unavailable. Please reboot your device and try again." Almost a year since the last app update? This doesnt bode well for a swift resolution.
It was working fine but suddenly won't open. I reinstalled it after restarting my phone and still won't open. On a side note, I am not eligible for mobile deposit because I don't have enough transactions, but that's because I live too far from GLCU to make deposits before they close! Time to move on.
stopped working after my Galaxy Note 9's last update. Error message states, Service is temporarily unavailable. Please reboot your device & try again. have done this repeatedly & still doesn't work. please fix. as of 2/12/19 app has been fixed & working great. love being able to see my account on the fly & have the same capabilities as if I was on the website.
So far (2 years) it has been a great app for me and my family. Not over complicated or confusing. Also this bank has been better for us also compared to national big named banks. I've had to move unfortunately over the past few years and have had to switch to multiple sites and services have been very helpful at each one.
Easy to do my banking without having a hour round trip. Love my Credit Union, has better rates than most banks and much better fraud protection - I find the app very user friendly and the services outstanding!
Security features need rethinking - when I login, my password is exposed character by character for 3 seconds at a time & lags slow to hide, even though my phone settings are set to hide passwords as they are typed, which does not make me feel SECURE. FIX IT PLEASE. Also, have been locked out of my app bc of a 'temp pin' I never got, causing me to waste 20 mins on the phone w/ support (whom I always have to wait for a call back) who couldnt explain why -_- Thats that ish I really dont like.
The app is generally quite modern and user friendly. The inclusion of fingerprint unlock is appreciated. I wish two-factor would be added, as this has become a fairly standard feature for nearly all other companies.
App upgrade. Looks good so far. Suggestion tho...be able to put a title (or some identifier) on each account so that it is easier to tell accounts apart. It seems that you must know your account numbers..since they are similar it is somewhat confusing.
It was working great but for the last 2 weeks the app keeps crashing before it even fully opens and I've sent the feedback and nothing is happening. Its frustrating to have an app for banking and not be able to use it. I have tried updating it, restarting my phone, unistalling and reinstalling and nothing has worked. If this gets fixed I would give the app a 5 star rating but right now I cant even use it. 🤷😒
Use to b gr8 now there are a lot of times it takes longer than normal to connect. Sumtimes have to force it close just to open and establish a connection. Other than those problems that have started within the last upd8 the app was absolutely gr8.
After using app for many years, they have made the app non operational WITHOUT ADVANCED WARNING! You must re-enroll to online banking, which requires you enter your account number. Well, if you could sign on you could get the account number. No such luck. Plan an hour on the phone waiting for a human to pick up. After my loan is paid back, I'm done with them.
Lately having a problem where the app won't open. It blinks like it's opening but only for a second and then crashes. I've had to uninstall and reinstall twice now because of this
Old APP easier to use, to much trouble switching to new system. Multiple accounts but want them separate, they all showed under 1 username, guess due to SS# . Bill Pay not as easy as before. On whole don't like this new upgrade??
Good app except no option for memo/comments for bill pay like the web version. It is frustrating to have to jump to web on my laptop because I need to add notes to payments. I have been waiting for this to be added.
I just enjoy being able to go into what ever I need. Very nice
1) Slow 2) Does not support transfers to non-GLCU accounts. Even after calling the credit union to enable the feature, adding my other bank manually to my authorized external accounts and verified the deposits + making my own deposot on the PC/browser version of online banking, it does (my other bank) not show up under accounts I can transfer money to on mobile. If I can transfer to it on pc/browser, I should have that option via the app.....
I was disappointed to discover an inability to view past statements from earlier in the year. Generally, this new app struck me as fixing something that wasn't broke. Now that we have it, it does its job okay.
When entering my password, it shows what I habe entered then slowly changes each character to an astericks and hiding it. Not comfortable using the application now as people around me can see my login credentials making this an insecure app.
This app shows me everything I need about my account. This app show pending transactions. I see the same thing the back office see. I pay my bills plus other credit unions bills through this app. Great app
Really easy to use !! Your money is on display and is easily moved around if you want to. I use finger scanning so it's really secure. Great app!
Love my banking app, especially considering I thought this was the name of my loc branch so when I googled it I didn't realize it was the wrong institution! In a completely different state at that! So without my banking app I'm assed out! 🤷🏽♀️
The app constantly won't log me in I have to enter my password 3 times before it'll log me in every time, also I have 2 separate accounts which I can see both accounts in one of my account log in but can't see the transaction history unless I log out and log into that account
I'm all for upgrades but now I can't see all of my accounts. It was a convenience to be able to navigate through all my accounts unable to do so on the mobile app or the computer. I'm not happy or satisfied.
Not as member-friendly as North Side Federal Community Credit Union was in Chicago. Fees like a regular bank. Difficult to get a loan though that is a given nowadays just about everywhere even if you always pay on time. Difficult to have access to your account online in order to check your balance when behind on any loan. Even when paying on a loan despite unemployment, illness, underemployment since COVID protocols began. Another member still can't check his acct though he paid loan off.
Very convenient. Every transactions are setup to be simple for anyone who uses app. You can even check your credit score, which is a huge plus.
