If you would like to check your bank balances, this app is good for you. But if you wanted to deposit a check through the app, you'd better have pristine corners. I just received 4 checks in the mail, and because they had perforated edges to rip off a piece of paper some of the corners had been distorted. This app would not accept front picture exposures but it would accept back picture exposures. So if I have torn corners how come it accepts the back but not the front? Very irritating

Overall, the app is pretty good. I like the little features, but the deposit check option needs some serious work. It took far too many attempts, and too long for the app to read my check. It would have been easier/quicker to walk to the bank and have the teller deposit it directly. It removes the easy aspect out when you can't get the app to work properly. Edit The scan function seems to have improved, it's easier to scan in checks and IDs. This has changed the rating from 3 stars to 4.

Very difficult to mobile deposit. I can tell they tried but its SOOO hard to get the app to take a picture of the check - it just sits there forever asking you to point your camera at the check but it never likes what it sees enough to take the picture. Seems to require studio-quality lighting and placing the check inside a black frying pan so it can easily detect the edges of a check are present... and then it'll still randomly complain that the image is too bright or too dark and repeat.

I use this as my banking app, and while it's usually fine it does have glitches where it will show the incorrect account balance and won't be fixed for hours, which can be really confusing. This has been happening more and more lately to both me and others who use the app. If that weren't an issue it would be a pretty solid app.

This app hasn't worked in over a month. How hard can It be to fix an app that used to work perfectly? Totally ridiculous. Will be changing banks.

I will up my rating when you include a Refresh option after logging in to the app. Also, the mobile deposit feature is not reliable... and I am constantly getting asked to view pictures taken...a hassle. Also error messages... which have forced me to deposit checks at the drive thru window rather than attempting to use the mobile deposit feature.

Mobile deposit is hard to use..not clear what needs to be done then still gives error even once the steps are completed.

App is great and easy to use. It does has some flaws like the little message saying banks are closed is good reminder for when they are closed bc of holidays but I dont need to see messages about student checking loans and c.d accounts. And after a certain time you can't see your transactions made that day until the next day, same thing with direct deposits and checking my account t first thing in the morning before a certain time I cant see the deposit.

Very clunky. The app functions, but it looks, feels, and operates like it's from the 90's. Very outdated technology. It took over 5 tries to get a decent photo of a check with good lighting.

When trying to use the deposit feature, although the images taken show very sharp and clearly when viewed later on my tablet screen, the application says that it cannot find the MICR nombers! This happens over-and-over, and it hasNEVER worked!

I downloaded this app on my 2 day old Chromebook, and low and behold it doesnt even open. I know its not my computer, because everything else seems to work just fine!!! There is directions to close the app or "report" the application. Thumbs down!

Depositing checks via mobile can be a challenge. It may tell you edges are folded when they're not, it can't clearly read the amount, or the front and back appear different sizes. It's extremely frustrating on that ebd.

Very solid app especially compared to other big name banks. Only thing I'd like to be added now is to be able to transfer to another account or bank from the app itself and to be able to open different accounts like savings or other inside the app than go to a branch

Really, more like 3.75 ⭐ App has come along way since it started. sometimes mobile deposit images will have issues trying to capture the right image, when that starts normally I can't get a deposit thru via mobile for the day. The newer version you don't seem to have to have a stead hand which is nice. Alloted deposit amount per month that rolls off by the day, it would be nice to have a value of what is left that can be deposited via mobile for the month.

For the last month the app force closes after I put in my CORRECT login information. My local GFN location charges to have paper statements mailed, leaving this app as the main source of keeping track of my account balance. This app and its inability to function correctly, let alone even let me log in long enough to see my balance, makes it impossible to adequately monitor my available funds and keep track of where my money is spent. I'm uninstalling for a while and hope that when I reinstall, it works properly.

Everytime I try to make a mobile deposit the green capture box moves out of frame so no matter how I move od position my phone, it cuts off 2 corners. Today, it took 30 trys just to deposit a check. It used to be such a convenience to use this app, but now it is a nightmare!

App is fantastic all in all. Deposit checks in less than 5 mins by taking pictures. Look up balance with ease. Transfer funds. And so on. Easy to use and it works great.

Everything is great, but need to know the customers info that is taking payment when I am in dispute

Nice idea, however, picture taking is a bit difficult. Would prefer a button to press rather than the time down. Other than that, it is a nice feature.

Update;app has been fixed and check deposits now work for me. Great to use now. Thanks. Check deposits issue. App states amount clearly seen, with no way to acknowledge or go beyond popup box.

Great! Never have to go to bank 😊 The only negative is the automatic payment to overdraft. There shld be a text message when money is not available instead of waiting for letter. Just a thought. Mine pulls from a old acct I don't use.

Thrilled to have a banking app that actually works! Had Trustco before and it was literally just problem after problem! Very easy to set up and transfer money.

This app is just like the bank, atrocious. The app often doesn't work, loses deposits or just never credits deposits. I work during bank hours or I'd just switch banks altogether.

Great customer service in person and very intuitive app setup that makes sense and is super easy to find what you need without a lot of searching and grief.

The mobile check deposit is impossible. I have Wells Fargo and it is way easier. I follow all of the instructions, well lit, dark contrasting background and it takes 50 pictures to get the check accepted. It's ridiculous.

Displays wrong balance several times a month making me think money is disappearing by the hundreds. Days to register purchases. Rarely accurate balance. Electronically deposited check for first time using their app on a Saturday expecting my money to be in my account Mon. Monday I called because money isn't in my account I was told it won't clear until Tuesday. I get paid Fri nights after banking hours (local branch closes before 4p & closed Saturdays).

Ive been using this app for about 8 years now. Fantastic way to keep up on everything. The transfer option makes paying your auto loan extremely easy

This is why I don't use Glen's Falls National. Walk in bank with CASH. Deposit into checking, in the AM, morning. They tell you it goes right in, available immediately. But it's not. They always out in as a check. It's 6:04 pm. Still waiting for it to be not pending. My account still at what is was before deposit it Capcom it's instant, like lightening. Even a mobile deposit is instant. I did a mobile transfer from Glen's Balls, and there still waiting for them to release money. Rediculious

I just got glens falls national after having the same bank for years but I moved. I'm SO DISAPPOINTED. It literally has never worked. Not once. It crashes over and over. I can't even see it long enough to chack ANYTHING. Will be switching banks .
