Please be careful:-To access sensor, NFC must be enabled on Android device-If you initialize a sensor with Glimp S you will be unable to read it with Abbott Freestyle reader-For reading sensors initialized by Glimp S you need to use Glimp app-Glimp app can read sensors initialized by Glimp S and by Abbott Freestyle reader-This app is not an official Abbott app and it will access sensor memory writing data, so you use it at your own risk.

Excellent tool. Obviously people should be aware that if you start the sensor with this app, you will have to read that sensor with Glimp, you won't be able to use the Abbot hardware scanner. That's just how Abbot designed the Libre. Still this app is useful if you are caught without the hardware scanner and can't / don't want to use the Abbott LibreLink app to initialise the sensor.
Just used the app to start my first sensor. Success out activated it. Works now with Glimp and Liapp on my Android phone. BUT IT CANNOT BE READ BY MY FREESTYLE LOUNGE READER!!! Message reads "SENSOR ALREADY IN USE The sensor you just scanned was started by another Reader and cannot be used with this one." I liked the concept of this app but it entirely failed my expectations.
works ok, but leaves blank gaps on my timeline. Not sure if it's the app or the sensor but after I initialized my last sensor, it just continues to read 819 every time.
Thank you it worked! You saved me a lot of money I have freestyle libre 1st generation it worked perfectly. Now I continue my readings with "glimp"
It would be 5 stars, but I got an error that says "unexpected exception: class misurazione_glicemia_exception, code 164", and apparently nobody knows why or how to fix it.
Hi, It is not working with libre pro sensors. I think it is not supported.
It just says "sensor is starting up" hasn't done anything else, cant use sensor in Glimp App.
It stops at waiting for sensor and nothing happens
Question: I have a new Libre 2 sensor from Germany. The app says the sensor is of unsupported type. EDropletNFC reads the S/N and type well but also says it is wrong sensor type. S/N 3MH002PR81M if that helps. Are the newer sensors not supported for activation?

Great but I would like more... My primary phone has no NFC but I use a Sony smart watch 3 as a collector... Any chance you can make a wear app that can use a watch NFC to init a sensor?
I read the Freestyle Libre advertisment that said their sensor would work with my phone. I jumped on board (without reading the fine print) and there I was with a sensor in my arm and no way to activate it (Australia is arbitrarily excluded from obtaining the official app). This app was the last resort and worked a charm. First activation didn't work, second one triggered the sensor and everything was fine from then on. So far the readings in the Glimp reader application have been spot on.
LG V20, it worked great, in the first three trails it gave me received 1 < 2 byte or something like this, then it gave me Sensor is starting up.
Works exactly like advertised. Unfortunately in norway the official abbot app is unavailable, and without a reader this is the only way of starting the sensor.

Many of my used Libre link 1 sensors work for a few days then break (as in stop functioning) before reaching the end of their advertised life. Today I wore a new sensor but the Libre app showed the dysfunction an hour only after having it on. I downloaded this app because it mentioned the repair functionality in the updates however, I cannot navigate to that page on the interface because there is only scan. When I scan the sensor with Glimp S, the app says libre sensor of unrecognizable type.
