Glitchr - Glitch Video Effects & 70s VHS Camcorder

Update: Tried to contact developer. No response. Terrible App!!! Very frustrating. Great video effects but had to buy the upgrade to get all effects. Still saying I have to rate the app and I bought the upgrade and its asking me to buy it again. Contacting developer. Hopefully will get it resolved. Looks like there are some great filters.

I've been on the hunt for a 80'/90's VHS filter video recorder and software. Unfortunately, most either cost money or only let you edit pictures. This app is great because not only can you record with a VHS filter, you can import videos from your library to so you could make VHS edits! 5/5 would totally recommend.

Wow I cannot believe how much worse this app got! Haven't used it in about a year. Came back to forced (and incorrect) screen orientation, horrible UI, missing functionality and a ton of locked features. I'll be using something else from now on.

Wow! This app just gets better and better! Its last update added video, and I am installing it on a new phone. Which brings me to my only gripe. There is no way to restore your unlocked effects, hence this review update. My review from a yr ago follows..Must say that i am impressed with the filters! They stand out from other apps. You get used to seeing the same thing over and over again...but these are special. Thanks for not killin us with ads to.

Needs a whoooole lot of work. Videos I film through the app never actually save to the gallery on my Galaxy s10e. They just disappear! Effects are unique, although I wish there was also an option to use portrait mode instead of only landscape mode.

This app has much more than any other glitch app I've seen. However I found it super annoying that they greyed out the screen with a popped up message to pay or rate their app before I could really preview the other features and deside if I really like it or not.

this app used to be really really good, why in the world did you guys change it?, tell you what here is free advice for those reading this, if you want a top of the line retro custom photo app then go get "8 bit photo lab" its very very very good, it has everything you could ever possibly need for making detailed retro photos

Didn't even try it. I was unable to move the app to my SD card, and that is a deal breaker for me. As soon as I finish writing this review, this app is deleted. Also, I find the notion of demanding a 5 star rating in return for more effects to be... dishonest. That method artificially improves the rating, and defiles the integrity of the system.

Well it's actually my vibe because I love 80's camera and theres a lot of filters and you can choose your type of aesthetic and it guides you from the start how to use it and you can also put your pics and vids from your gallery and edit it there. Its amazing!!

It's a cool app to edit your videos and pictures but there are very few options and filters. Also, I can't club together more than one video to make a collage video.

Some of the effects would be nice for edits, but not all of the effects are free. I don't really know how to add effects onto videos yet. This is a really nice app though!

The app itself is great, and so far there are no adverts. The effects are pretty good and give the perfect aesthetic for vintage or VHS pictures.

Pretty nice VHS Filter editing app my my videos. I think that it could be better though if the creators could add more simple old TV and VHS filters that are less flickery and just give a warm and liney efect.

Looking for a good filter app for videos and came across this one. Most well-rounded so far after trying about 7 different ones. Keep up the good work!

Pretty solid experience so far. I like. Same day update: Told me to review to unlock more filters... Reviewed, but nothing was unlocked. Gives an option to watch ads to unlock more filters... Says I can't watch, no ads available.

I find it rather selfish that you can only unlock the majority of this app by giving it a full positive review. (This is off topic, but i noticed a certain other app named Glitchr which has a ganeboy like logo has been removed from the app stores, I would like to know why it was, as I found it to be the best app to edit your art with).

Love the ease of use to change up my regular pictures 🙏 Have an occasionally crashing problem, but it seems to be only with a few specific short length videos.

Honestly, with a wide range of effects to choose from and a Friendly UI, I surely rate this editor as the best this year.. Credits to the developers.

Uninstalled it after 5 seconds. There are probably better ways to get people to give you reviews rather than locking most of the filters until they have to rate your app. Kind of defeats the purpose

Basically giving a 5 star review to unlock more of its effects. The free to use filter are great but seeing that I need to give a five star review seems a bit off. The app is great itself but making your customers rate 5 stars to get a good review is just brilliant but you're kinda forcing your users to do it.

I like how this has more options of video/ camera effects than most editing apps. 👍 even has that old 1930 filming effect that I've been looking for!😍🎥💕

most of the filters are the same and you have to rate it 5 stars to unlock more apps. after that you have to pay to get the rest of the filters or watch a video to get 2

Very great app and wonderful features and effects. Also free unlike most of the o th er video editors. It works very well

I downloaded 4 vintage cams to see which one was the best...and THIS was the one I kept. It is the best. My beach trip is gonna be adorable recorded with these filters.

The app seems to work great it's got some nice little filters to start out but I'm reviewing to get the rest of the filters cuz I've seen some pretty cool filters that just don't come standard so now maybe I'll have them.

it is an amazing and well working app with a variety of different filters for both photos and videos.

I mean this app is good and all but I would really wish I could save the videos without having to record it from audio.
