Global Player

Been using this and the Heart APP for a while now and both of them cut out every 10-15 mind and got to reload again. Have uninstalled and reinstalled both to make sure it's the most up to date version and still does it. It really is frustrating. Hopefully it gets sorted quickly as it's good to use these when working from home and having the radio on in the background

Really poor experience, been using this app for years and its full of bugs and a PITA to use. Was hoping they would fix it by now but they haven't bothered. Current problem: every time I try to login it shows an infinite loading icon so I can't login. Also, even when I'm logged in and am playing a podcast, as soon as the podcast finishes it takes you back to the homepage so you have to manually search for the podcast again to get the next one. So poorly designed.

This used to be a good app but now it stops every few minutes when my phone is on standby mode. As soon as I unlock it, it starts playing again. It's really frustrating so I've reverted back to my amazon music instead. Please fix!

Global Player used to be GREAT, use it exclusively for LBC and smooth country, irrelevant of what I'm listening to, just randomly crashes and then the circle of doom appears when re-loading, have to come out and reload..... Have been using this app for a VERY long time and certain versions are a tad 'bumpy' but this current iteration however is just so damn glitchy it really makes it difficult to remain both loyal and engaged.

I am in the US. I started listening to Classic FM while in UK years ago. I was disappointed when it was removed from Tune In. I used Global Player yesterday all day from a cellphone in a vehicle during a cross country trip. Listened to Classic FM for hours with no problems. Thanks

Ok I've figured out the issue of the app stopping, it's not the app.... I've just changed my phone to one with more memory 32gb and I've been using the app all day and it has not stopped once. So I think that is the problem not enough device memory. Yup confirmed device memory is the problem. I rarely restart the player now except for when I take a call. The player doesn't like being re started via the lock screen. The phone has to be unlocked. A legal problem when driving.......

Used to work perfectly, now can't play a show from catch up. Play button does nothing. And if I download it the cast button isn't showing up anymore so can't send to speakers. But it works for other apps like spotify so most just be your app. Why must you do updates that just screw it all up, worked fine for years. Justifying someone's job I guess, updating for no reason right even testing it. Samsung S10.

Used to be OK but now it doesn't download and save the podcast shagged married annoyed for some reason and it doesn't stay on that podcast when I go back to it. Every time I have to search for it and scroll down to the right episode. Its such a pain. I used to download ten at a time and they'd save and I could go straight to them and pickup where I left off. It seems you can still download them but they stay where they are. It makes no sense. They've made it so long winded.

I don't usually like writing reviews, but I'm so disappointed that I'm having to. I've been using global player for along time but it seems to be getting worse for me instead of better.. listening to LBC, now, it plays for a bit then goes off as soon my phone screen's locked & the App closes fully as soon as my phone screen gets locked (& no, I don't have a setting on my phone that when it's locked to switch any players off) but I don't seem to have the same problem on my Ipad Pro.

This app used to be great on my Samsung S10, but whatever has been done on the latest release is a nightmare. After disconnecting from any Bluetooth device (car, headphones etc...) the app just randomly starts up playing again. Sometimes it's not even when I disconnect from something. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that doesn't fix it, so must be an issue with the latest release. It's generally glitchy as anything and very hard to get the app to shutdown properly.

App used to work fine for hours at a time. Now keeps shutting off every few minutes and has to be restarted to continue listening. Hope you sort these bugs soon

Very useful app, in particular the catch-up facility. Disappointed that it isn't included in the Android Auto compatible apps. Any chance this might change?

Why does the app keep cutting out despite my uninstalling it... It's been like this for weeks and absolutely NOTHING has been done by yourselves. Disappointed is an understatement. When will the issue be resolved

I want to like this but it often gets stuck 'preparing audio' and if you can get past that, it just stops randomly later.

Rubbish - casting a podcast to my speaker with this app and every minute or two it randomly returns the the start of the podcast. Not useable.

Used to work perfectly until recent update. When listening to podcasts clicking on the play button does nothing, really long delay before it starts to play, so annoying and frustrating - why!!!!

Its terrible. Takes forever to connect though adverts always play grrr. Regularly buffers and for ages despite having full signal 4g and 5 g! I have spotify on the same device and i never have any issues or buffering or connecting. Ive reset networks uninstalled it cleared caches etc. Still bad.

Very hit & miss if it works. As others have said, click on cast button and nothing. Play button sits there and is as useless as the app itself. I'm really starting to go off the so called "smart" technology. Give me my Dad's old transistor radio any day !

Tosh, absolutely the worst app I have to use. Constantly crashes, won't rewind on catchup, constantly have to restart. Downloads dissappear.... Checked all the permissions.. This is happening on Google pixel 6 and huawei mate 10pro. The Radio x app is similar... Arrrrrg... Time to remove it AGAIN!

Light on features. Slow to start. Gets stuck if data connection isn't great. Annoyed that Global have podcasts exclusive to this player and I can't use my favourite top quality pocast player - it's the same content after all.

Downloads don't start when you press the start arrow. Can take anything up to 30 seconds before playing! Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still the same! Come on guys, this used to be such a good app

This is one of the best radio apps you can use in United Kingdom I thoroughly enjoyed this. I find it easy to use and convenient to use it in my work or leisure etc.
