One star, cant even register on it because it will not accept Gmail email addresses. I have tried all 3 of mine it always says they are invalid. Makes the app completely unusable for me. I refuse to use an outlook or older, shittier interfaced email account just to use this app.
Have to sign up right away to use. Uninstalled. Edit: It's not that I had trouble signing up. It's that I don't want to sign up for something that I don't even know if I will like.
I am a T1D - who used Diasend before to upload all technology devices in order for HCP to view all my data. Told to switch via email 2 days before appointment and so far, between back/forth emails from Glooko to understand my problems with this app. I am unable to get into app on mobile ... and just now when trying to write this review with the proper terms (e.g. where's the Downloader app - is this it - since it's not called that in the PDF manual for using???) - I can't even get into Glooko via my lap top. Have a feeling it's at their end in my case, but seeing how few reviews there are for this app, wonder why the heck did my hospital in Canada go with them??? Frustrated as all heck with not getting anything accomplished in 24 hours, that should be much easier to use for the Jack and Jill Patient! As someone who helps folks understand living with diabetes, I don't want to recommend this app at all!
Is there an option for negative stars? Refresh rate is painfully slow, and I now have the grand total of one graph that tells me nothing. Its like I have returned to the 80's where you wait 4 months for an A1c result, and spend the rest of the time blind. Don't even bother trying the website, unless you enjoy staring at hour glasses. I hope diasend remains available. Why force this giant lunge backwards when there is so much valuable information available in the pump and CGM.
Glooko stopped getting Dexcom data on February 27 and not fixed as of today, March 27!!! For an important health app that I rely on this is a total failure. I've lowered my rating to 1 star, down from 5. App is useless to me. I am deleting it.
Edit: my meter is new, only a few months old. And in 2012 you had the premier meter line listed as compatible, but now it's not. Why would you remove it? Can't use it. I have one of the most popular Bluetooth meters out there and it's not supported. Can't put in manual readings, so it's basically a brick on my phone. Not worth the time to download.
This app, even after only 10 minutes of use is so much more useful. For starters there are the weekly, 2 week, 1 month, and 3 month averages. The highlights that provide useful information about the averages. The graphics, the ability to email or fax the info to your doctor, and the list goes on. Supported my relion meter better than it's own app. I can't recommend this app enough.
Overall this is the best app I've tried for my recently diagnosed type 1 two year old. It allows us to keep all the important data in one place. The best thing I like about the app is the food search engine with a barcode scanner. It makes adding up carbs more convenient. One improvement would be manual entry and delete of glucose readings. Sometimes we get erroneous readings or test our own sugars to encourage the child. Otherwise those is a great app!
As with many others, I have also run into the syncing issue. It's fine at the minute, but if i have issues again, i will contact support. If not for that it would have been a 5 star rating. EDIT: Thank you Glooko for your response. I have recently used customer support for another issue, and I was very pleased. Very timely and helpful.
It is easy to work with. Storing and sharing data is easily done. (Please read all app agreements and privacy information.) The only thing I wish it had is a weight field, but that is easily done through a reminder. I gave it one less star because it keeps sort of crashing or it shows a dialogue box saying it can't sync data. I logout and then back in and sync my glooko blue box again in order to make it work. (Data could be lost this way) Customer support through Glooko& C4C is awesome...
UPDATE: I was able to resolve this by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, thank goodness! PREVIOUS REVIEW: I'm also seeing the immediate crashing of this app on launch, so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. I can't tell if it's just the latest version or because my phone has been upgraded to Android 10. (I haven't opened it successfully since before both those things happened around the same time.) But normally I *love* this app. The reports are truly useful and my endo appreciates them too.
I like that I have everything in one place. However, the app freezes frequently. Also it would be nice if you could scan food in instead of searching for it. Sometimes the search works and sometimes it doesnt. I have also noticed, while it brings blood sugar ratings from the g6, it does not bring over insulin doses.
I like it. now that I learned how to sync my readings. it wasn't easy at first. I wish the reports included more options like like fasting for readings. my meter does before and after meals, fasting, and bedtime. would to sync this type of data for the doctor. but otherwise, the app is great.
The app wasn't difficult to sync to my phone, but it's practically invisible writing has made it hard to read. Who makes an app with 5pt text these days?
This is a fairly good app. Just wish I could share information across my Garmin fitness and connect apps platforms. Would cut my data entry in half.
First, it doesn't directly sync with your meter, you need to buy their Bluetooth adapter. The app isnt upfront about that. So I bought the adapter but it took 3 weeks to get it. Now it does work but the text in the app is so small its nearly impossible to read, but you can look it up on the website and its much easier to see.
This app is so easy to setup and use. I have the FreeStyle and my Glooko bluetooth adapter plugs right the side of my meter. It down loaded all of my readings since my initial measurement. All I had to do is tag which readings were before meals and after meals. The capability to make reports is very helpful too. The app gives daily average, daily average before meals and daily average after meals. It tells how many high and how many low readings. You can choose how many weeks for averages
I love the app. It's easy to manually add items and digest the information. My only problem is syncing with my NEXT One. It never just works without me having to remove the device and re-add it, every time. Sometimes the app does help me by removing the device before I get a chance myself.
Where are the colours! All other diabetic apps show blood sugar levels with colours for in range and too high and too low
Bluetooth appears to pair but wont sync. Try to log in, apparently forgot password but no option to reset. It's worked previously but is always difficult to get to pair and work. Pretty terrible but no other options.
