I love gloss genius!! I do wish they had a few more capabilities, like client forms that you can make and send to clients automatically instead of uploading the external link. I also wish I could make changes and updates on my computer instead of only on my phone. But overall, I love this app!!
Hands down the easiest change for e-schedule system! Their White Glove Team transferred EVERTHING for me Free. My clients love the look and layout of communication and booking. NOTE Android users! Some features don't "play well" because this system was designed for iOS. You will need Gboard (Google keybrd) if you want to add decimal points at checkout. And selecting appointment Times is 100% manual. But I'm told they're working on it.
The app was amazing when I had an iphone, but I recently switched to pixel and now it is very hard to use. Sometimes I can't take payments, and it always says I'm offline which makes it very hard to do anything including booking appointments. I really liked this app, but I'm very disappointed that it doesn't work properly on Android. Expeshaly with how much money I have spent on it.
I love this app! I had credit card reader problems with my last salon app and this one is great! Only things I wish were different is personalizing the amount of times the reminder texts get sent out and personalize the time needed per client so I can do online booking. Everything else is great!
I recently started using this app to book my clients again. When I originally utilized it to book clients I absolutely loved it however for some reason clients aren't able to access and book their own appointments. Seriously considering going with someone else. Please, work out the kinks.
I really love everything about the app it is awesome very helpful when it comes to booking very convenient and client user-friendly I would recommend the only issue I have is the promotion of same-day deposit and I have yet to receive a deposit I've been using this app for 3 days I would gladly give a 5-star review if this issue is fixed where I can at least see a balance that would be transferred into my account
They shut down my page after 5 hours of notifying me that I needed to pay my fees. When I was with a client I didn't see the text and after I got home and went through my texts it was too late and nobody was there to help me take my payment or get my page back up. I started using their payments a few days ago because I have some new clients and there's no page to tell me how much money will be deposited or when. I texted them and there's nobody In for the weekend and it's the 1st rent is due
I love so many features of the app. Here's my cons list: Con- - my app glitches while I making appointments and I have to remake them, which doesn't save time - you can't disable the gift card feature they added, I don't offer gift cards. - they used to show in client history the amount of times they canceled. Which I really used to liked Pros- -saves last cards, makes checkout so much faster -inexpensive credit card processor or free phone one - email or text campaign- easy to send info
I would like an email or something sent so I know what exactly changed with the update without having to scavenger hunt through the app to see "if" anything changes.. Thanks
It's nice if you have a small clientele that have email addresses I've lost business especially do to emails people don't always like to give it out . I made 9ne for people to use but I never know who is coming in because when they type their name it defaults t9 5he name associated to the number , bummer
I would say 98% of the time that I open this app it tells me I'm offline I restart my phone so many times during the day to even use this app I can't always schedule clients because it says I'm offline I can't make changes because it says I'm offline I just tried to do a lengthy note on a client and when I went to save it it said I was offline and I lost everything I just tried to input I've uninstalled and reinstalled I've talked to customer service to no avail this app is infuriating
Like the app, I would like to be able to book according to the duration of the appointment, as well as book out weekly instead of monthly. Everything else is great.
I really like GlossGenius, it's easy to use and had many useful features. I do wish I could offer a $ off discount rather than % off and had a loyalty program. Those changes would get another ⭐ from me!
It's cool but I don't like how they send the appointment notification to the person's email and not a text message directly to their phone. I have elderly clients and others who don't do e-mailing and they need notifications sent directly to the text messages
I love gloss genius. I just don't know what all to say... I love this app. It saves me so much time and keeps me so organized. My clients really like it too. Easy to use. A lot of features. Great price. Amazing, I mean amazing customer service.
This app is great. It is so easy to use and has a lot of great features. I just started my first business and this app has really helped me to feel comfortable and confident!

Love this booking app. Really wish it was the same on a web browser or available to download as an app on windows. I also wish I could post products available for purchase. Hope it continues to upgrade and evolve

Love gloss genius. It has made booking my clients and check out so much easier . Hands down recommend!
For the most part I really enjoy it. There are a few areas I think need tweaked such as, options for scanning in/creating gift cards in order to track them, have the ability to create specific discount codes to keep track of promotions and apply them easily at checkout. I also wish there was a way for clients to pay with more than one payment type. Other than those few things I'm perfectly content.
BEST. HAIR. APP. EVER!! There are some things I wish they did a little differently or maybe 1 feature they could add, but otherwise I seriously have no complaints. Everything is easy to use, easy to add products and services, and I love the auto emails/texts! This app does more than most and at a cheaper price. SERIOUSLY GET THIS APP!!
It is SO easy to set everything up. Only issues I have is app doesn't always open up when selected on my phone. I need to open and close, open and close sometimes 5-6x to finally get it to open. Also, the pictures I take to display what products are which, NEVER shows up. Lastly, when scanning credit cards, it only reads "raised numbered" cards.... if the card has a smooth surface, the card has to be keyed in because it wont scan. If those issues are fixed then it will be flawless. With that being said, I LOVE my GlossGenius App!! Personal assistant is always at your Service and response time is almost immediately!!
Came from using Genbook and over the years there were always issues. They are merging with something else now anyway. Moved to GlossGenius and I absolutely love how smooth and easy for both myself and my clients and looks fantastic as well. Love how much you can keep track of many things. I haven't used many of the features GlossGenius offers yet but can't wait to play with it more and discover new things to keep track of it all. Super happy!
Made the switch from Square to Gloss genius and it was totally worth it especially with the $30 credit when joining. Lots more options than square offers for your customers, including holding cards instead of having to fight with square about deposits and refunds. Also like being able to send emails and texts all in one send instead of having to send separate emails to every. single. client. Way better than square, 10/10 would recommend.
I've been using Gloss Genius for the last year and its made keeping track so much easier. I would love it if the waiver was available in the app and could be sent with their appointment confirmations. Giving the clients an option to get put on a wait list in case theres a cancellation. Would also be great if we had the option to sign clients up for membership. I do waxing and most of my clients ask for me to start offering them.
Update. I am loving g the app. Do note if you have an android and Google it will take a little time for calendars to sync. But when they do it's AWESOME. Love that my clients can go right to the app and stop the back and forth texts of trying to "squeeze" someone in. I feel my clients love it also. Accept the ones that try to book last minute. Now they see I really dont have time. Hopefully this app stays this good.
This app has several flaws. One of them is not being able to take two types of payments on one transaction. Example of paying partially with cash and rest with debit card. I also don't like that someone can't schedule two of the same services at the same time like two women's haircuts. I hate that it sends a client a review reminder ever single time they come in. I shouldn't keep asking once the have left a review only can turn it on or off for everyone.
GREAT UNLESS YOU NEED IT! I found Gloss Genius to be an amazing app! 👏🏾 The website building feature is awesome and I get so many compliments. It's great for booking and managing appointments and even manages your earnings. This is great if you don't actually NEED your money! The direct deposit system is trash! The deposits are inconsistent and most of all, inconvenient. They are always deposited late and it's very frustrating. It's 4:21 am (pt), and I've been waiting since 6pm 😤.Canceling
So far the experience is pretty good. Though I do wish they would have some standard features that are missing considering how long gloss has been around. Needs a multi payment system. The ability to turn off signatures. A better tablet UI. Ability to save discounts to a list and do $ amount discounts . Appointment should change color after checkout. Should be able to change the tip% displayed so u can do 10/20/30 if u want. And other things iv recommend. Really missing square appts at times.
