Glycemic Index of Products

The glycemic index, or glycaemic index, (GI) provides a measure of how quickly blood sugar levels (i.e. levels of glucose in the blood) rise after eating a particular type of food.
This application displays the list of products and their glycemic index. Search bar allows to find required product very quickly.

Database of products is updated daily. So if you haven't found desired product you can request it.

it might be a good app. But sadly, the developers strategy regarding ads make it a deeply irritating and frustrating experience right from the start. ads pop up all over the place before you can even get your head around how the thing works. even trying to watch the video tutorials is deeply frustrating. Clearing several ads to get to YouTube videos I found the videos impossible to take in, they are far too fast. at this point I lost my patience, and uninstalled it.

Trash. It has just a few food options, the app doesn't see other food sources on the interent. I will give it 1 star.

Limited App - 2 foods I entered were not in app - Aspertame and sugarfree coffee syrup. There wasn't even a Sugar category. Odd.

I don't know if any of this is accurate or not, but it's a fantastic Idea! Worth the effort that goes into it!

A way to buy out of ads would be preferred.

Don't know why they create app even if we search on Google once more information available. You should not waste peoples time.

Gives a GI of 48 for eggs. Eggs are virtually 0 GI. Worse than worthless app!

Basic. Only GI, nothing more.

Could just be a lifesaver

Really nice interface and layout but some glaring problems. For example the list includes numerous sub-types of fish but no entries for pork. Yet the app won't allow a request to add pork because it says it is already there because of an entry for a bbq pork dish at some Hong Kong eatery. Bizarre. Worse is the fact that the app appears to give ZERO values for unknowns so Coca-Cola has a reported 70 GI but a ZERO glycemi load and ZERO Carbs. Again crazy.

I have just been diagnosed with pre-diabetes and having done some research decided to try a low GI diet. This little app really got me going and indeed opened my eyes! There are a few processed foods that are not on and an allowance for the language barrier between the UK and US :) has to be made but it overall it is a great reference point and has enabled me to get very close to my target weight. I always refer to it before buying food I am not sure about and as far as I am concerned it's a little gem. Also it's being constantly updated so new items are appearing regularly. Highly recommended.

This app when used to choose your foods, can greatly assist in preventing sugar spikes. Controlling diet with choices in the green with the app, i brought an A1C of 11.2 down to 6 in 3 months and have maintained 6 to 6.2 for 18months. Thanks

How does Coke and Diet Coke both have a GI of 53?

Ell. K. Apr 3, 2017

Too many values that differ from the data available. Has squash as 15 when it's 51! Not the first instance where values were completely out of whack. As the values need to be accurate, I can't be sure which others are right. Search works, though. Uninstalling.

Gi, carbs, calorie and Load included no extra cost...Unless it is a trial and I will have to pay later. Lots of food choices too.

Very helpful to keep insulin down

Installed, deleted after waiting more than an hour and a half for it to download the index from the server. Made three attempts, stopping the app entirely between each attempt. Last run left it sit for an hour, no result. Nothing else on phone having this problem, so problem at server end.

This would be a great app because it has a lot of foods but it crashes every time I try to search.

Mel. E. Oct 29, 2015

This app would be great if I could search within it. I have a Samsung galaxy note 3 and the app crashes every time I try to search for a food.

J. M. Jul 10, 2016

Whenever I type a food it stops working and closes and tells me it's stopped working. I can't use it. It appears to be just what I am looking for which is very frustrating.
