Glympse Keyboard

Glympse Keyboard is the fastest way to share your location from within any app. There are two options
- Quick Send or Full Keyboard. Both use the Glympse app to swiftly generate a link that is pasted into your current WhatsApp conversation, Gmail message, or any other app you may be in.
Quick Send
- this option is compatible with your current keyboard, allowing you to send a Glympse without interrupting your flow. Once enabled, simply hold the designated keyboard change button on your current keyboard to switch to Quick Send. Set the duration of your Glympse, tap “Create” and the link is pasted into your message and your normal keyboard returns.

Full Keyboard
- for the power user, this option replaces your current keyboard and ensures even faster location sharing! Compose messages as usual, and when you’re ready just press and hold the “G” key to create your Glympse.

Either way, recipients receive a link allowing them to view your location in real-time for the length of time you choose. When the timer on your Glympse expires, your location is no longer visible. Best of all, recipients do not need any special software to view your real-time map.

Note: This add-on requires installation of the main Glympse app. If you don’t already have it installed, you will be prompted to download it upon first use.

We LOVE TO HEAR FROM CUSTOMERS. If you have an issue or suggestion, please use the "Feedback" feature in the app under Settings or send us an email at [email protected].

I wish it was integrated into the phone instead of just into Verizon messages, where if someone types "where are you" you're automatically presented with the Glympse option, but this is the second best way. I hate the VZ message app and this allows me to use other text apps and still have quick access to Glympse. Works well.

The quicksend function is useful. Sticking that into the keyboard is a smart idea: two taps inside the keyboard UI is all you need to summon Glympse and share. I predict tons of apps are going to copy this feature. But the full keyboard option (at least on my Nexus 4) completely ignores the fact that people use their language's additional characters. Long-press on a key that would have additional letters doesn't show anything, no options to change it; going to Input Methods menu and picking your national keyboard just reverts to the standard Google one. Hello, US-centrism.

You have to replace the keyboard you're using with the Glympse keyboard. With either the quick and full version. But for those who don't mind it'll be pretty cool app.

I could see this starting a trend.. Insert Google Drive link, insert calendar link/invite, all sorts of possibilities for other apps

Great concept, problem is it crashes on my phone as soon as you select a destination.

You have to replace your keyboard. I would rather have a choice to assign a hot key on my existing keyboard.

Works well in most apps, but lately, the Quicksend Keyboard no longer works in the Facebook Messenger app.

Really liked the keyboard idea with the long press G instead of using Glimpse Express while texting. My main and only issue is that it's missing the microphone which essential for me.
