GM Toolbox

The custom categories in the paid version of this make a great asset for any game - the premade stuff in the free version also has great prompts. My gripe with this app is in the organization; when you add in a category, they automatically come in at the bottom of the list. I haven't found an option to reorder them (I'd love to know if I'm just overlooking something simple). Similarly, the name generator can't be customized to the best of my knowledge and it can't be removed for the sake of a custom-made name category that better fits your genre. Overall, it's definitely worth your time, but there are some definite areas where this could be improved to be a perfect app.

There are a few issues that are an inconvenience and mildly annoying. The one I'm dealing with right now is the inability to change the date on the calendar...I keep selecting the option, changing the date, and hitting save and it goes right back to year 0...

(Paid Version) Does what it says it does, with slight limitations. You can create new randomly selectable values, but can't create new categories (meaning you can only use tables for NPCs, Bandit Groups, Taverns, Caves and Shops, and can't create new categories like 'Spaceships'). You also can't create new sets for different genres: You can't create a randomized list for only Fantasy, and another for only Sci-Fi. A functional tool, however, with enough gadgets to be very useful!

sadly cant rate high. free version is too constrained with stuff. bugs out with one tavern i made (deleted it) and types in all fields are very small minimum of tripling in each recommended. 20 item over whole free version really turned me off to it im holding on to it for chars i made but as soon as i find an equal or better app its gone.

I'm blown away. This app streamlines my RPG sessions like nothing I've tried before. The generators create consistently good content and the combat features are invaluable. If you go for the premium upgrade, the customization options and ad-free experience will make it your favorite GM utility app.

I would give this a full 5 stars if the export feature worked. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy tab A and every time I go to export the list, if says unable to export. I enjoy the program but without the export feature working, it isn't as useful as it could be for me.

This app is very handy as a DM in college. It allows me to easily create and store NPC's into categories. I no longer have to remember background or as much stuff about every NPC such as shop keeps. I can make the character, organize the NPC to a shop and have his description within the app. Overall, I would say this a fantastic app and helps me save time while in college.

it is a useful app with several features. describing, for instance, a shop is necessary for immersion but takes time to pull together. this app does it in an instant. the bandit and Npc generators are similarly helpful.

Overall a very good app. Customizing is good. Only thing i would like to see right now, is a way to add NPCs from a specific folder as shopkeeps/bartenders so there can be region specific names and less chance of a double when mass creating shops in a different area

I love the app and it will be very useful, however I purchased the premium with the idea that you can add your own generators to the app, but instead you can only edit the existing. This would easily make this the best app available, but I still have to use other apps.

I was finding the app useful and was starting to use it more in my games, but after spending a few hours in the Taverns section, it crashed and crashes every time I attempt to enter that section.

If you are a DM like me who needs a quick character, or needs an organization tool for already established characters, pick this up now. Not kidding. They have a calendar, you can customize a freaking calendar for your campaign. You can even set up the phases of the moon!!! Its such a delight to have this tool in my toolbox. Thank you everyone who designed this and i will be telling many other DMs about this.

It's made managing npcs and world building efficient and easy. I really enjoy using this app. While I'm still happy with it, I'm having issues with crashing exclusively with the calendar generator.

Send like a good app so far. However, whenever I try to make a month for the calendar, the app stops working. But altogether, pretty good!

the free version is pretty good, i plan on getting the premium, as of right now it could use more features but its still being updated so im not worried. got the full version and im pleased with result

So good for quick generator and the ability to store NPC or Tavern for planning is great. I got the premium for exporting but is there a way to import those files on another device? Hope that comes in an update. Keep up the great work.

The calendar/moon feature is great and the dice roller works. Unfortunately the character and place generators are full of typos, and the options are limited to medieval DnD setting.

Ever time I try to add a name to anything, my keyboard starts flicking between cases and I cannot type, without names I can't finish anything, meaning the app is rendered useless to me

Awesome little random generator that allows you to customize it's features to you own liking. It's useful and well done!

I love it, but when I'm typing the cursor for letters always jumps to the beginning and I have to write words starting from the last letter which takes quite a bit of time if I misspell something.

really helping me flesh out my campaign! If you could add the capability to edit notes, that would be fantastic.

First thing I did was try to enter an npc's name. It wouldn't come up in the name field. Tried a few times, which caused my keyboard to go haywire.

Really interesting things that this app provides that I haven't seen in other apps similar to this one, like the calendar creator. Cool stuff!
