At first I was so impressed with the App that I upgraded to the pro version, however after a few days of use I had to turn it off. Not being able to use the keyboard while it's running is a complete deal breaker and a major annoyance to the point that it makes my phone so much slower to use because of the added steps involved to actually type anything. Until this is fixed I'll be staying away from this App.

I paid the $3.55 just to get rid of the red glow. But after using this for a while. I realized it gets rid of the icons at the top & or bottom of the screen. But doesn't actually make that part of the screen usable by what ever app I'm using. It just leaves that part of the screen black with no icons. UPDATE:. Seems to depend on the app. Some apps use the extra space. Some don't. So must be other developers not this one causing It. UPDATE: being able to change the color of notification & Navbar would also help greatly.

does not work very well and I hate the trigger system, can't use the keyboard at all and the app is difficult to disable. terrible design choices and poor functionality is a fair summation. the status bar when turned on does not stay on top like it's supposed to, instead it recedes back to full immersion even when you specify to show both nav bar and status bar, or just status bar, so what you end up with is a very wonky user experience.

Great app that allows other apps to be displayed in "immersive fullscreen" (aka. without status or navigation bars) without rooting. That works a treat in Google's own Chrome when playing videos outside of YouTube, or playing games for instance. Immersive fullscreen can be set on a per-app basis (PRO version), or can be enabled in a number of customizable ways. All in all a great app, worth investing 3 bucks in for unlocking the PRO features. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, finally found apps that can hide the nav bar for google stock phone. it works good (but not great) because you must buy pro versions for the other great features. To increase your user and rate, it might be a few things to be fixed : 1. Make the full invisible/transparency features become the free versions, it would be amazing if can be realized 2. Make the keyboard always can be used while nav bar is hided 3. Need to add the full gestures for user experience Good job, keep the updates

Great job! it works great, and is much better to your competetor (check the appstore, and search soft key hider no root, youll know what i mean). Theres only one problem............no keyboard while in full screen! as a person who turned a tablet into a mini laptop, thats quite a setback. If you could work out a fix for that, it would be greatly appreciated!

I've noticed that some similar, more recent apps, have the same flaw as this GMD: they are not fully immersive everywhere; status and navigation backgrounds remain on certain apps, so there is no actual full screen on those, just icon disappearance. Thus, I can't blame GMD for not being updated in four long years. Apparently, it can't be addressed. Yet, I want to complain, because I've purchased the GMD root version a few years back and stopped using it because it was instable as hell; now that I decided to quit rooting for a while, I realize this non root version actually works better, even under Oreo!... and I have to pay again for options I've already purchased? I don't feel right...

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!!!! ive been looking SO long for a way to hide navigation buttons on older devices, and this app finally does it! Its a bit confusing at first, but once you figure it out, it works like a champ.

My new phone is pixel XL running android 9. The virtual control buttons ate up a half inch of the screen width in Chrome. That limited the usefulness of the large screen. GMD solved the problem.. wish I had it back with my Nexus 5 phone. I bought the Pro so I could customize the screen.

i went as far as purchasing the pro version and it worked decently for a day or so, but keeps auto hiding the buttons even without me swipe on it and i turned off auto hide too. The application is showing some bugs which is unfortunate since i spent money on it. Has some bugs and its clear the developer is not supporting the application anymore. Last update was 12/2014, I cannot believe I paid for the pro. One star for lack of support.

the free version worked, i used it for a few days with no problems. wanted to use some pro features so i upgraded and then it would mess up. I'd have to re-set my settings constantly. I've emailed them and they won't email me back. google won't give me a refund. not worth $3.55

Worthless. I got the app so there wouldn't be anything on my screen when i watched videos not add a super distracting red bar. Defeats the entire purpose. Not to mention super finicky, not even triggering the swipe half the time. First time I've ever given an app one star annoying trash

it works as advertised and it could work for you. but it just doesnt work like it does for Samsung. the fact that hiding softkeys with that little toggle button on the nav bar isnt a default Android feature is ridiculous. of all the festures to steal from Samsung i wish stock Android had that.

This is actually pretty good. The free version is kinda bad. But I decided to pay $3.55 for the pro and it works like a charm. Keyboard does work in immersive mode, you just have to swipe up when your in a text box. Love it!

Lev. S. Nov 10, 2018

Doesn't actually remember app preferences, and seems to activate somewhat randomly. If it didn't block the keyboard from initializing or from using backspace in some apps it wouldn't be a problem. Ugh

overall review on this is a 4 it makes the phone look good by hiding the navbar but when getting keyboard out an typing its sluggish an also the app can draw over other apps the other day I had video player opened to watch a clip an I couldn't get the brightness up in the video player if all these glitches are fixed this app will be flawless

Bought pro, does what it says but no option yo just hide status bar! You can hide navigation bar only, hide both navigation and status but you CAN NOT just hide status bar. Definitely stops it being a 5/5 app.

Jos. M. Feb 13, 2019

Paid version works erratically on Android 9. Per-application settings don't seem to stick. The developer doesn't respond to support requests, and the app is non refundable. Don't waste your money if you're running a newer version of Android.

dmc. Feb 17, 2019

Seems to work okay but nav bar isn't auto-hiding, so have to keep opening notification bar to select immersive mode every time I want it, which is all the time.

joh. m. Feb 13, 2019

Started off well and bought the pro license but it's too flaky, it stops the keyboard working properly, isn't consistent in its behaviour, and seems to drain battery. Nice idea, really nice idea but needs work

This app was working perfectly on Android Pie without any issues. Now I'm on Android Q beta 3 and the app doesn't work anymore. I hope the developers of this app update it to work on Q because it's an awesome app.

sam. j. Apr 13, 2019

this is working good but if you decrease the auto hide delay time even more like 0.5 sec or even little more less it will be like it never came up and it will be the best app among these categories. I am really looking for the update with that feature and it will be 5 star rating by atleast 10 people by my side.

Mar. B. Apr 6, 2019

Absolutely useless. It does not make apps go to fully immersive. It just makes the notification bar go black.

Fer. T. Dec 10, 2018

Im dumb for even buying this it hasn't even been updated since 2014....the free version worked but when i purchased it now nothing works i can't do anything. I can't hide navbar, i can't change the position, i can't change the color. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH A PAID VERSION...

Cat. K. Oct 6, 2018

Settings aren't descriptive; Hiding notification bar breaks keyboard; temporarily showing notification bar leaves it up in the app, exactly what I was trying to avoid.

Jam. H. Oct 16, 2018

Very well made. Great to have in combo with screen dimming apps, because the top bar cant be dimmed.

Dav. F. Jun 7, 2019

The app used to be great but they haven't updated it in 5 years! People are spending money on this! Support your product! One star for lack of support.

I love this app. I hate the new gesture control in Android P but I dislike onscreen buttons. This solved all my problems and it's easy to customise
