I don't know how this app was moved to production when it clearly has some issues. Even from the download experience which is part of the minimum viable requirement, product is not as smooth as in other applications. I also tried to stream on mobile browser but my bought video woudn't play. It doesn't even display the specific error encountered.
Several issues upon payment lately. Highly frustrating since I tried thrice just to book and still needed to verify in the Help section if my mastercard was charged for the previous failed transactions. I think you should send automatic email prompts for payment failures. This app didn't have much bugs before. Please fix this. It used to be really convenient to book.
I tried to book a movie 3 times, and I didn't get a ticket. I used both app and laptop on a fast wi-fi connection. My credit card was charged 3 times too - Citibank verified them as "valid". Thankfully someone did answer from GMovies hotline explaining that they will refund if I find it ends up on my final CC bill. I waited a few weeks before my bill showed the 3 repeat charges and then 3 new refunds. Please fix your issues with Paynamics, and it should only charge a card if the ticket is given.
I purchased 4 tickets and my credit card got already charged, but I didn't receive the e-tickets. What's worse is that I tried reaching them through email and they just responded with a system generated message telling me that they would get back to me as soon as possible. It's almost a week now and there are still no updates. Their hotline numbers also cannot be reached. Do not book through this app, it's not reliable.
I only used it once to book a movie but because of the pandemic we stop coming to the cinemas. Now I'm bombarded with sms notification for so many things like movies I'm not interested or subscription on who knows what. I did turned off the sms notification on their app but they still keep sending me sms notifications. Tried to text STOP on the number provided but it wont get thru. Ask CS support thru email and they said the problem is solved but still getting sms notification. Avoid this app.
If the purpose of the app is primarily for convenience. I tried booking but it only allows you to book tickets in advance for the current day for the now showing films. Also better if PWD/Senior discount option is available. For convenience, just my thought.
didn't get my refund when I used my debit card instead of credit card, money was deducted to my account but I didn't get any tickets. will change my review once I have my money back tsk. this is so frustrating I even emailed them my concern and they're passing me to others tskkkjj. this is their reply... You may coordinate directly with Paynamics team to further check the transaction history made by your credit card. Only they can check the credit card transactions.
Horrible streaming experience. Movie won't load even if you have decent internet connection. It won't even tell you what error has occurred. Same experience with any other globe app or globe service. A waste of time and money. Would not recommend.
It's super difficult to connect to the stream even when your internet connection is great. The stream is not as good as the other streaming platforms available today (such as Netflix, YouTube) performance-wise and content variety-wise.
I purchased aquaman movie ticket using my debit card which is a mastercard and with a discount code. at the last transaction page the app went error and when i checked my balance it was deducted the same amount as the movie ticket but i wasnt able to receive any confirmation that I was able to buy it. no text message no email for the QR code and no saved tickets on the app. please fix it and refund the money.
Experienced failed transaction when paying thru credit card. Uninstalled and restarted app many times, and problem still persists. Contacted thru email their support and as of writing no reply. So I ddecided, to book instead using other booking sites, most especially the SM CINEMAS App, easily accepted my payment. Sometimes this app, is just too unreliable.
Keeps on running in the background. I have forcibly turned off this app whenever I'm not using it. But still shows that it is battery so basically it's forcing itself to do something in the background, probably send Customer information anonymously. NOT COOL!
I made a 2nd booking and made a payment using my credit card. But up until now have not received any confirmation that my transaction went through. I also had to send 3 messages to their customer service and did not receive any help. If I'm able to refund or get the ticket I will be uninstalling this app. Such a hassle 😓
Works well when using chromecast. My only problem is that it takes too long to load whenever I'm about to input my payment details after selecting a movie. Therefore I switch to the website in order to pay.
app kept crashing. tried to uninstall or reinstall but no difference. im not new with this app. i was trying to book aquaman in aura. it was fast and easy before.. what happened? i still want this APP than others bec its earning rewards, but u might lose sales bec of this. help
I will not recommend to download and use this app after you purchased and charged it to your credit card no ticket will be issue or even sent to your email. They dont really have service support that will assist you to fix their problem that's enough to ruin not only your day but your own family because of the frustrations..NOT RECOMMENDABLE!
It is very annoying!!!!! Yes it is very easy to login or register to this app/website and To pay for your desire movie to watch but unfortunately it is very irritating!!!! My internet connection is very stable but the movie I want to watch doesn't load!!!!!!!
I had difficulties launching the app. I tried two devices and took too long to open. And when finally launched the interface is so slow and crashed. I used galaxy note 8 and 10+ devices.
Don't bother downloading the app. On December 29, I paid $10 to stream a movie that was said to be available for streaming until January 5. I was not able to finish the movie in one sitting and tried to finish it the next day but it was no longer available. I sent a complaint to customer support but no response til now.
Tried to purchased ticket awhile ago. It processed the payment then the app keeps on loading and suddenly it crashed. I already received the confirmation that payment was successful however when I checked the app, there was no ticket with barcode which I usually see in the My Tickets -Upcoming Movies. Please check and fix
Trying to book for Avengers Endgame.. tried using my Mastercards (debit and credit) to pay and had error multiple times. It says payment was not successful then gives me a prompt "Fraud Risk Blocked". Wow. This is the first time that I was unsuccessful in purchasing online.
Thank you for the response. I was able to play the movie but I had to restart my phone to make it work. Hopefully there would be less bugs in the future. Movie was clear though it is not consistent with the audio.
I'd love it more if you will add the option for online reservation and then payment at the counter for those who don't have cc or for people like me who sometimes has an apprehension if entering card details. Another option is if you can add debit cards as payment options.
This app is so poor. although customer concern/s are addressed through a system-generated email, the contact numbers given are completely useless. tried calling the numbers several times and my calls are either cancelled or ignored, both mobile and landline
4/27 - Its my first time to install the app and this was unable to book the movie i want to watch. "Avengers the Endgame". This app successfuly debitted my gcash account but did not generate a ticket. Not sure if this first impression will last. Done sending request for refund and not sure how long it will take for Gmovies to give the refund. 4/28 - I just found out today that gmovies sent the ticket through my email account and not on the actual gmovies app. This was unexpected.
I have paid for BxJ season 2 but i can't watch it because the screen stays black. Sound are working but there is no video. I just wasted money EDIT: To solve this problem just restart the phone and Ta Da!! You can now enjoy the series. To the developer, sorry i just panic. Hehe
I used it once. Playing movies is not smooth and you cant even cast it on tv
Useless, no one even watches streaming shows if it's not Netflix or Disney+
I have been trying to book a ticket for the past 4 hours and it keeps telling me there's been an error. I relaunched, no progress. Reinstalled and still the same. I even emailed your support team but they are not even responding. What a waste of time and effort. I was hoping to use your promo but it seemed like you don't want them to be used. Your app and support team needs a LOT of improvement!
