This has completely stopped working for me. It suddenly doesn't allow me to log in, it also shows up in German instead of English. It tells me that my email address does not exist and I've had it for several years without problems. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it tried to web version and still no luck so I guess I'm done with this email.
GMX emails have been great to use. The best feature is the fact that you can create several different addresses on one account. It seems intuitive and easy to use. The one thing that I would improve however, is that if you have several draft emails sometimes it does not let you edit the one you want. would definatly reccomend gmx.
App does everything I need it to do which send and receive emails. Took a star away because I had it set up to where I paid to get rid of ads but now I can't seem to find that ability anymore after I switched my Play accounts.🤔
If I could give this app no stars I would. It has worked just fine on my android (pixel) phone for years. Recently I have no longer been able to delete emails, so I uninstalled the app, rebooted the phone, etc. When I reinstalled the app I can no longer sign into it. It doesn't recognize my email or contact email so I am sent into endless futile loops of failed login attempts. I can't report it to GMX because they don't recognize my email! GMX email works fine on my laptop and iPad. Fix this!
I have been a GMX user for years. However I contacted GMX regarding a problem with saving an email as draft, where the email would not sync and would end up as gibberish. This was infuriating with a long email. I would have to re-write emails multiple times. So I contacted GMX, explained the problem, and received a standard pre-written inhumane email, about how the system automatically saves emails. Not what I asked. Very sad to see what was such a great app decline.
Good app but it's not easy (if at all possible) to view secure emails on it (the same emails can be viewed easily on the browser). Makes one wonder what the whole point of the app is...
I used to like this app very much. But recently it was very slow syncing data. I was told to reinstall it which I did. However, not much change and also now no matter the size of the attachment, it will not send the email!! Also if you lose your phone# virtually impossible to reset password!!! Didn't think it could get any worse but it did!! Worked fine in the morning but by afternoon instead of sending emails - went to trash folder. Then sent email to myself and new email NOT in inbox!!!
I've been using the GMX Mail app for many years now and have always enjoyed using it, despite the inline ads every now and then (just lived with it). HOWEVER, since recently, the app just DOES NOT show new mail. In the "folder overview" menu it shows I have several ne mails in the inbox, these are not shown in the mail list, though. In the Webbrowser version, I can see the mails. Please fix!
It's not letting me sent any email to anyone. I just updated, and it wouldn't allow it before or after the update. Fails to send every time, saying no network. But my network is fine
This email app is very basic (even in the payed option). The search functions are extremely poor. The way in which emails are listed is deficient.
Terrible, simple terrible! They sent me an email saying " final notice" when there was no previous notice!! Further, no need to do a final notice! it's never been done before anywhere!!
I like GMX because of the security and I can send larger videos than with Google. I only have one complaint. and that is I forgot my password and couldn't ever reset it. I had to reregister with a different email address to get GMX, and never was able to open the old account,so lost my emails.
In the unified inbox it does not work to "load more messages" the loading bar freezes and nothing happens and it only works to add new e-mail accounts when chrome is the standard browser. if there is an interception to put in the email account passwort three times and your standard browser is for example the free adblock browser (wich does not open links in another app), adding an email account does not work
I've been using GMX mail for almost a year now and I've never had an issue, quite impressive really... it's Reliable, uncomplicated and the best part is it's completely Free!
So far it's fairly good ,but how can I access the premium ad free version,as this app doesn't display in it's app in it's settings.
I really like this email platform and would have given 5 stars if there wasn't issues with the MS Mail App client that has stuck emails in the 'outbox' and won't forward to addresses. Known problem amongst other gmx users and have attempted numerous suggested forum fixes to no avail. Ended up dowloading Mozilla Thunderbird as a replacement email client for gmx. Disappointed that the GMX app for PCs has been discontinued. Works fine on mobile. Thanks for this platform - hope it continues support
Uploaded pictures from phone without permission, I only use the webmail, is no clear way to see on this app what it is doing in the background with pictures taken, I only realised it was doing it when it was saying it had ran out of space. Am seriously considering never using this app again as this is a massive breach of trust
Gmx email could be a great email but not for now. I have forgotten my password, I ask for help sending atleast 10 email but I get the same automated response which is not helpfull. I need a simple link with a temporary password , can you help me please. If you help I will change my rating to 5 star. Please don't response with the routine automated answers or online answers, just tell me what alternatives are there other than the usuals, simply how can I get a temporary password. Thanks
Can't log in. When I go to it says "cannot change password" I'm trying to log in not change password. I log out. Now it won't let me log in saying "try again later" what the fudge!!!
This service is "wired tight". lots of free , necessary tools, scalable anfd inyternatioal as well as secure...
they delete your accounts, and never respond to your messages about why. Long term account deleted randomly, and recently another. Both accounts have video games purchased under the emails, and I believe that is the reason why my accounts have been compromised. However I have provided them with plenty of information, contact info for myself, and never got a response on the subject. If you plan on having anything worth value attached to this email provide. change your plans.
Stuck in an endless login loop. It doesn't seem to actually be an email app anymore, just a Chrome browser that takes you to their website. I'm gonna download an older version.
Outlook app and Gmail app are better performers. All apps and systems are updated on my phone, but GMX has another periodic error. Currently, new emails are NOT coming through to the app. You now must use the desktop website in order to find the unread new emails the app will say you have, but refuse to show. GMX developers should respond better than the other recent review below mine regarding the same issue. It's GMX's error, not anyone else's they try to blame.
EDIT: Lowering to 1 after I can't do anything with a draft with exceeded attachment size other than to thrash it. The app makes me furious sometimes and then I want to throw away my phone. In the past, the e-mails that were being written were not always being saved in the Drafts. E-mails addresses were not always found when searched for. Nowadays, when you exceed the upload size, you can't cancel the attachments, you can either upgrade or leave the e-mail. So much frustration with this app.
Wont let me sign into the app saying email or password is wrong, but will let me sign into the website email. I reinstalled and still no change. How do I talk to a human?

Best email for minimalists and programmers. They have built in PGP encryption for those that aren't familiar with PGP. Clean, crisp, simple UI and layout, good looking emails, all the functionality you need. Great work, devs.
Great app until the previous version. Atrocious google ads mixing with emails since the latest version! Extremely annoying ! Update as of April 4 2020, the ads had stopped; and are now resuming in the middle of a worldwide lock down! This is the worst possible time to spam people with ads they cannot remove! Will be switching to another mail client...
