GNotes - Note everything

I would give it 5 stars because this is/was my favorite notepad app from 2013. Unfortunately it seems like nowadays can't log in to the app or online any more.I started to use it for the online sync option. Alas, it doesn't work any more. In case you are still signed in on the app I recommend you to export all your notes and save it to a computer. You can import back them to the app even if you are not signed into any account.This way at least you can read and keep the old notes & make new ones.

Really great app. I've been using it for several years almost every day. Reliable, smooth, and a clean interface. I like the undo button and I like being able to sync my notes online. It would make me feel more comfortable about the stability of their company if the desktop version of their website would let me login, but at least the mobile version of their website does.

I love to use this app for taking notes. The features are cool and enjoyable for me. I suggest this app to have tasks– sending and receiving multiple files once to and from other apps, annotating features–highlighting underlining and others, receiving web page text, photos, audios and videos from browsers. I'd like this app to have synchronizing through devices in free version. If my suggestions are fulfilled, I"ll be very happy to use this app.

Very easy to use but very hard to sync... I have been trying to log into sync my notes, also if you don't log in there is an extreme limitation on the number of tags or notebooks that you can have. The problem is that if you forget your password and you ask for a password reset that reset email never comes so you are screwed. I hope they finally fix this problem but it hasn't happened

I really loved this app. I have used it for many years now. I love the simplicity of it, all of the options for adding content and the folders instead of labels. I'm very concerned now since I'm getting the 502 Bad Gateway error when I try to access the url. I have all of my notes and lists on my phone but there is no syncing going on. I hope the developer is okay and can get this back working soon but at least my app data didn't get wiped when the sync failed. Please let us know you're okay and when the server(s) will be up again. Love your app!

I have been using this app for years and it was great. I have been upgraded to the premium version for years as well. My subscription just renewed and now it is not showing that I have the premium version and is not syncing between my devices. I have sent two emails to the support team and have gotten no response. I am incredibly disappointed that I cannot get any help with this and may not be able to get my subscription fee back either. Someone needs to contact me please!!!

This is my favorite note-taking app of all time. I'm happily paying for Premium (really affordable, added features are absolutely worth the money, and I like that I'm supporting the developers), and it runs smoothly on all my devices. **Side note -- a bug ** Current version has a bug where sometimes the + icon to add a new note disappears, so I have to restart the app to get it to come back. Not sure what triggers it; I'll update if I figure it out

I'm pretty worried by what's been going on with this app. I used to love it and use it very often as the syncing capabilities were very good but the ability to access to the notes through a computer has vanished. Luckily I can still access the notes on my phone but I'm afraid the years of notes will disappear sooner or later. I wish we could help you somehow to keep this app running, it would make a lot of people happy, and if the efforts aren't enough then it would be nice if we could get some heads up about it to salvage out data before the app collapses. Exceptional app, well worth the subscription. Unfortunately, with my subscription getting automatically renewed 3 weeks ago, gnotes stopped synchronizing and started suggesting I upgrade to pro. To make matters worse, I haven't heard a peep from the developers since contacting them by email weeks ago. This is unacceptable, and paying double for a subscription with the chance that it might still not work is not the solution.

This *was* a great little app that I have used and enjoyed for a few years now but it looks like it has now fallen by the wayside. It no longer syncs data, the publisher is apparently not replying to emails and enquiries, and like others I am currently unable to sign in to my online account. I would therefore urge prospective users to look elsewhere and do not, under any circumstances, pay to "upgrade". By all accounts that is a complete waste of money and will get you nothing in return. Sorry for the poor review but this app now appears to be defunct. For myself I am trialling Microsoft's OneNote for mobiles and Windows 10 PCs. It's free and looks quite promising. Sync'ing on both platforms is something GNotes never did. I hope this helps anyone looking at this app or perhaps wondering what has happened to it.

Save your GNotes to your computer in several ways! This change of not syncing caught me off guard also. Doesn't seem to be developer's fault. I've been using GNotes since it came out. I don't know how many years ago. I have hundreds of notes of appliances, tools, equipment, electronics, and their serial numbers. Saved my tail when I had a bunch of tools and equipment stolen. Great for parts lookup at the store. Best if we get a local storage option. I have a 200GB SDCard and would like to have no limitations on phone storage with export to PC options. From your Android device you can export from the Settings, Import & Export menu. I used Total Commander to zip up the files and then used a simple USB transfer to save to my PC. You get your notes in html and jpg pictures that you can view in any browser. You can get your gmail, Notes by installing and using Mozilla Thunderbird. I backed all of my online gmail Notes up to a local directory by exporting the Notes folder. The files had the correct name with the extension eml. eml files can open in most email programs. Look up eml and see how you can manipulate. Looks fine. I'm happy while developer adjusts to changes.

EVERYONE, I FOUND A WAY TO RECOVER ALL THE NOTES LOST! I was having the same issue as everyone here, with this awful app deleting all my notes and not allowing them to access my account. But i found a way to login at least to see my notes and export them in html file. Install an old version of the app, i managed to do this with the 1.0.4 from 2016 (just search gnotes old version on google to find it online), and with this version it allows you to login. What a relief, hope it helps others as well! Anyway, it's a really bad app, how can they disapoint their customers like this...

Going to just echo the sentiments of many of the posts here; I started using this app years ago with no issue whatsoever. All notes would be synced to Gmail so even when my phones broke, the notes would be retrievable. Recently, they disabled that function and now following an problem with my phone, ALL of my notes over the past 3 years are gone. Many of those notes were ideas and songs that I've written over the years, which is massively disheartening. No email support, nothing.

What happened?? I have been a paid subscriber since 2017 and have loved this app. Sometime in the last year it stopped syncing. I just got a new phone and now I can't even reset a password on it. It tells me I have to upgrade to a $9.99 a year subscription in order to set a password. I HAVE a paid subscription!! When I go to the Google play store it shows I have a paid subscription but the app doesn't recognize it. The main reason I use this app is because of the password protection. Not happy

I have been paying $9.99 per year for 4 years to get automatic sync, but I somehow lost my most important note (my list of diabetic blood sugar readings for 4 years). The auto sync was not happening, so I have no way to recover it. I tried a manual sync, but it said I can only sync once a day. I uninstalled Gnotes to see if reinstalling it might fix it, and it emailed me saying that uninstalling it would not stop the subscription charges.

It's been the best note app for years but recently I'm not able to open it on a browser, my notes are disappearing and even though I'm on premium photos I've attached won't load! I've sent them an email but I've read from a lot of reviews that they haven't responded. Anyone know of another app I can move my notes to? I'm scared to even go through my old notes in case they've all disappeared. So disappointed.

Similar to other reviewers, I loved this (formerly FREE) app in the past and, as a Google user in most areas of my life, it was great having everything synced to the same account. Now as of this month it stopped letting me sync my notes tho. Now no better then a standalone notepad, you'd lose everything if you lose/break your phone, which defeats the purpose of the app. From reading other reviews I've concluded it's bc they changed the app subscription "rules", but w/I telling us...

It seems I am not the only one experiencing issues with this app. I had loved it, but after clicking sync, all my notes from the last month and a half were lost. Ironic when I was syncing to keep them safe, only to lose them. Fortunately I was able to restore from my Google backup 👍

It's an alright app if lacking in some areas. Was looking for a replacement to the LG QuickMemo software and heard a good few suggestions for this. You can make 'folders' through the tag feature, bulleted lists, save photo, and its compatable with my phone font. BUT its lacking some important features. I can't lock notes, nor can I colorcode them, which I feel are two huge drawbacks. And on a more personal note I wish I was able to pick a lined paper option, and folders/tags having icons options

I have been using this app since 2016 and went for the pro verion in 2019. First year the app worked fine with minor glitches. In 2020, I was downgraded back to the basic version even though I am charged $9.99. Now I cannot access the online version as well. I wrote emails to the developer multiple times but there's been no reponse ever. So now I am stuck with no way to migrate my data anywhere else. What a shame.

I hate to do this, however, this app was great. I can tap and then tab + and I'm typing..easy... Problem 1. For some strange reason I can't any links I have saved there. Not any. So if you can fix that I'd be very grateful. 2. I put my grocery list on gnomes and I can access it in a pinch. The problem is that if I handle my phone the wrong way, anything in there can easily be erased. Locking each block would be very helpful. Thanks

I have collected a large file of my documents with photos that I took and saved on GNotes but for some reason GNotes doubled and multiplied same note while I was adding changes. now its a mess in my notes. I can see my pics on my phone device. I do see them online but not on device. I have paid for full version thinking that the problem would upgrade and go away but the problem is till there. I can't transfer my data to different notes applications. I don't recommend GNotes. OneNote is better

Very good notepad one of the best I know. You can save it everything on your own personal gmail server and that's an awesome feature to have. You can make your own dictionary of knowledge and key word search it and find what you looking for instantly and off-line too thats if you have lots of information saved. Thumbs up. Be buying the pro version without ads :-)

Altogether its ok. I'm on a yearly subscription upgrade plan which gives you synching ability (and it does work) however, I continue to get a reminder message to upgrade in order to make use of synching and when I try to use a different theme I get a message that I need to upgrade to the yearly plan (in this situation I can't get our use additional themes.) I notified customer support twice without any notice from them.

ZERO STARS - Very Very VERY unhappy. I have had a PRO account for several years and in mid-2019 i could no longer login via a web browser on a PC. No web browser works, not on chrome or IE of Firefox. No support either. Used to be great, but now seems totally unsupported. Found "STANDARD NOTE" and am in the process of migrating all notes into it. "STANDARD NOTE" really works well and is 100% encrypted. Cancelling my gnotes.me membership -

I am leaving: Had a premium account for years. Everything seemed fine until last Dec 10. Google just cancelled subscription; I didn't notice, then charged me TWICE $13.99 SAME DAY. I didn't notice till today when I created extensive note and discovered no sync happening, so all work lost because sub is only basic. Google policy says NO Refund. What a shame that I have to leave it behind, but I can't risk having work lost again.

You would be my note pad of choice due to ur relationships with Google and the ease of the use sync/saving new notes and being able to see them on any device I login to but I cannot get over the annoyance of your page scroll that occurs when opening a note to edit throwing the user into confusion and wasted time finding the spot intended. Please just open the note on the first click not first veiw then edit just strait to edit. Thanks zach

It's true about issues with passwords to log in I never log out but if you need to sync so you can have updated notes on other devices the app will ask for your password even if you reset it it doesn't update the brand new password so you're stuck without syncing your notes, HAVEN'T GOT ANY RESPONSE FROM G-NOTES DEVELOPERS ** please help fixing this issue I HAVE THE PRO VERSION PAID
