GNURoot Octave
The app is now supported by Teradyne.
For you to be able to launch GNURoot Octave1) You need to install GNURoot Debian.2) You need to go to the install/update tab in GNURoot Debian and click install/reinstall button.3) You need to go to the install/update tab in GNURoot Octave and click install/update button (after choosing whatever additional packages you want to install
- you have to press the button even if you don't want any extra packages).4) You need to choose the gnuplot package if you want plotting to work.5) There are many other packages to choose from.
You can add .m files and a .octaverc startup file in an external storage directory setup for you. Often at /sdcard/GNURoot/home.
Your latest plots (.png files) can be found in an external storage directory setup for you. Often at /sdcard/GNURoot/intents.
You will be running in a fake chroot of sorts which includes Octave and many of the programs you expect to find in a standard GNU/Linux (read Debian) install.
Plot commands and edit commands fire off intents to use whatever image viewer or text editor you have.

very good program except someone is deleting my files. comms is missing and control can' t load.
No update available, can't use with modern Android devices.
It says you have to update to use, but there is no update in playstore. So don't download it.
It's frustrating and taking me to and empty interface to download GNURoot. Pls check the app.
Debian does not start to install for me... And it just points to an to an empty adress here inside playstore whre no debian app exists... Maybe you can check that.. thanks.. keep it up..
The app has missing patches to root properly, so I couldn't even run it.
Needs GNUroot Debian to work, which isn't available anymore on Google apps. This app should be removed as it's not maintained anymore
It keeps looking for an update that can't be found. It doesn't run at all.
I like the app just that it won't open and demands for update which os not available.....

I'd love to tell you how this app functions but it's dependent on a defunct debian app that doesn't work on androids higher than 8.0

App is good, but this new version won't Run. It asks to try update but no update is there so keeps you in loop and never launch.
