I have used the app since day 1 and never had an issue til yesterday. The app won't pull up the QR code to pay and it's been like this for a full day. No notification or anything about how that they are working on fixing it, or to use the card. Luckily I had bus drivers that let me on, otherwise I'd be stranded. Hopefully DOT understands that reliability is the number one priority, since I use this app to get to work everyday. And if something goes wrong, let me know about it in advance.
In my experience purchasing a GoCT Card has been extremely convenient. Absolutely no issues with it. And I am very pleased it is available. *The Bus Drivers are often very rude and obnoxious. Drivers seem to be in desperate need of Customer Service Training.
It's good to see your history and manage your account without having to go onto the full website but a shame you can't use both the app and the card. I'd like to have both activated at the same time because sometimes one is easier than the other. But nope, gotta choose one and stick with it
I went back to using my card after 2days with this app. The farebox on the buses have a terrible time reading the qr code. I ended up holding up the line while watching my phone in front of the box like a fool. If this app could be a backup option to the card, that would be great in case I left the card at home but you can only have one active item at a time.
Terribly unreliable. This morning it wouldn't even let me log in to get a QR code. Sometimes the code readers on the bus can't read the QR code. I have figured out increasing the brightness helps that. Money added to the account takes forever to show up in the app. Great concept poorly executed. Drivers have been great but the app actually slows everything down. Stick with your card for now.
This app is terrible!! It does not work properly at all. Also if you active your card on the mobile app it deactivates your physical card. What if my phone died? Then I have no option and S.O.L. because the card cant be active the same time your using the app and if you dont carry money on you then you are stuck. They still have way too many bugs to work out in the system. This still should be in beta as a whole unit.
The barcode to scan your pass on the bus rarely ever works. Overall the app is clunky and slow but I guess it's better than trying to navigate the even worse CT transit website on my phone to add money to my card.
Great idea, but first it has to work properly. My biggest complaint is that it does not adjust to the lowest price based on my usage. Instead, I end up spending more money because I'm paying full fare. I find it more cost effective to just buy a physical pass.
No Horrible. not compatible with my PC W10. I even installed Chrome like it said, but still no good. CT Go card won't work without App? Seems ridiculous . I am told I have to buy a smart phone &buy a full cellphone service.
Love it!. This app makes it super easy to load money onto my goct card. A very easy tap of the card on the bus makes it very convenient compared to dumping change and waiting for transfers.
Loaded card a few times, but still didn't work on buses. Was yelled at by a bus driver. Called several times to resolve problem, no change.
Can't use my phone because the QR it makes is massive. There should be a standard size it makes regardless of your phone's screen size.
First time tried this app to tap (multiple attempts) but it never worked. I have installed this app on my Android LG stylo4.I have given 3/5 because it is easy to instal and easy to use.
It's a pain I've dumped $20 in this program and all I've gotten from it is one ride and a complete nightmare waste of money.
who ever create this app need to fix bugs because this is my only thing i used to go to work and sometimes it stops working and i can't use my card anymore
So far my phone scan has never worked. just the actual card. just wish i had a better way of keeping track of my money left over.
this has suddenly stopped reloading my card. keeps giving an error message.

Just don't download this app: Trust me, it's not worth it. Not only will this disable the insanely fast goctcard that you can literally tap, you have to spend minutes on the bus trying to get the barcode to scan from your phone, instead of them simply using NFC. Truly baffling how bad this app is, have to screenshot my app, and actually shrink down the barcode so that the readers can read it.
