Go Gaia

I love the catwalk feature, which has made the app worth it to me. Sadly, as of late, when I go to submit an outfit, I get an alert that says Database Error. I also wish the app had the marketplace on it, as that's where I shop most of the time and the deviation from the pages with dress up has made it difficult to find the items I want. While this app is a huge improvement from the original, it still needs some work.

In my opinion, this is a major improvement from the previous beta version. You can access forums, shops, and use the "dress up" function. However, while the UI is positive, there are certain nuances that the website possesses that weren't transferred to the app, such as the ability to search via tags, runway, guilds, and marketplace. For me, the lack of these features lead me to continue to just use the website on my table's browser.

Has potential. The material design is fresh and easy on the eyes. Dress up is difficult to nav for large inventories, could improve by scaling down the icons. I could not find a way add an angel subscription to my account from the app, which seems like a glaring oversight to me. Does not really hold up to the site experience as of yet, but kindred lake scales better on my screen than in mobile browsers, so I will use it. I like the catwalk feature as well.

A big improvement in comparison to the initial app! Going from Bulletin to Avatar is a smooth transition as well as customizing being easier than before. The app tends to feel empty since there are no announcements as well as no marketplace that people would normally get from the site. The app also feels bare due to lack of variety of colors. Other than those complaints I mentioned, it's a good app and I'm definitely going to keep it around longer than its initial form.

The app works well with loading times, accessing the forums, and being able to customize your avatar. Downside is there's no private messaging accessible, or the ability to view profiles and friendslists. Also, the pricing information on the app page doesn't accurately reflect the prices of purchases within the app and the app shows as gaia_mobile on my phone without a proper icon.

Forums don't work. My replies mysteriously vanish when I hit submit, I have to apparently tap into a separate text box just to start typing my reply. I can't post threads at all the whole box is just not there. Whenever these issues are sorted out I'll update/redo my review, but as of right now this app is unusable to me. Other than that this design feels very unintuitive and needs some rethinking. Good luck Gaia team. The website seems to be what makes this app very difficult to develop.

it has potential, but as is it's pretty bare and useless, lacking most of the options the site has. if they add more options in the future, especially the marketplace, pm's and notices, it will be a lot more usable. but right now I'd rather stick to the browser version.

Definitely a visual upgrade from the old App, but doesn't hold some of Gaia's most basic functions. No friends list, marketplace access, quick access to subscribed forums, etc... Also, Android doesn't seem to support the chat feature. Disappointing for sure. One step forward, two steps back. :(

I only use the app to browse the forums, and play dressup, that said, while the dressup menu is very easy to use, the forums could be easier to navigate. For example, I am using the app on Android, and when I use my back button it brings me to the homepage, rather than the previous page in forums. You also need to scroll to the top to change post and topic. Currently, I think using the website on your phone is better than the app, as you can't use the market on the app. Dressup is fun though.

-Search function in dressup doesn't work. -item names are NOT displayed so its a guessing game what they are. -Equipped item pose is not represented on the item equip. -Avatar is far too small for the screen with no way to increase or decrease its size for a decent screenshot. -Items represented image is pixelated and much bigger than they need to be. Still needs work but given past history and current behaviour, I dought it will ever be refined to provide a better interface and user experience.

Love this app. Great companion for gaiaonline. Only giving 4 stars because it still has a lot of issues. Mini games don't work properly atm and sometimes it will refuse to load up the catwalk or the avatar editor. But with it still being in beta stages its forgivable. Thanks for all the great work you do! Keep going!

Um... never in my life rated an app this low. But I honestly want to play and it has good prices. Except I paid to get items... And it did not give me the thing I paid for! I have never had this happen! Please fix! I really wanna play but this is beyond fustrating!! Ugh! It keeps saying there was an error and something went wrong. I really wanna play and would be willing to pay more if the pay system gave me what I actually paid for! Again, consider this a warning! Thanks for reading this! 😕

Premilinary rating - the app looks good so far, much simpler and more streamlined than the old app. Once it has private messages and the ability to go to your subcribed threads, I'll be able to use it for my purposes. Having just been devved/released, though, I understand why it's a bit bare-bones atm. Glad to see them investing time in their mobile app again!

Navigation is difficult to figure out. I dont understand the new gaia gold thing. My old gold amount was well into the billions and now I only have 187 gaia grey coins. It's nice that there is one game to play. but this app not as good as the older version. I am liking the set up for the avatar edit, but it's still a little awkward to understand at first.

It's good, and even though it's bit different then online. I wish it was more connected like my friends will automatically be my followers, that forms and groups I follow even posts are shown gaia online too. Room for improves but if they keep up and add to it. It can be good app.

Do not download this app! I've had my account for 15 years, and it gets locked/hacked/phished after trying this app one time. All emails to the support team have hit a wall, it's not a priority for them. Please, if you value your account items friends and memories attached to such... Do not download and use this app!

Back in the early 2000's, I was obsessed with gaiaonline, and I stopped frequenting the site around when zOmg! was launched. I still, honestly, love gaiaonline; even after all these years. However, I have a major complaint; the phone app really needs to be a full experience (rather than a pocket edition). There's a ton of minigames, customization, and general features that would really help sell it as a heavily customized mobile gaming competitor, zOmg! alone would fit well in that market..Pls.

At this point, I wish I hadn't deleted the old Gaia app. While it was clunky and not as pretty, everything worked. I could very replies in roleplays, I could read my messages, and I could actually get to my subscribed threads. I'm sure a lot of these issues will be resolved as this is still a rather new app, but in my opinion, it shouldn't have been rolled out until all of the base functions it DOES offer were working correctly, instead of having a lot of not supported at this time.

Mostly downloaded to play switchem blossoms but it only seems to work exactly once per download of the app. Subsequent games will just give you a black screen after you press play. Uninstalling and reinstalling fixes it, but again only the once.

I use Gaia Online almost exclusively as a roleplaying site because its private message system works well for keeping multiple concurrent roleplays going. But this app doesn't even have a private message function at all, which defeats the entire purpose of having it. Hopefully it'll be updated to have private messages soon, but until then this app is useless to me. Edit as of 12/02/21: HOW HAS IT BEEN TWO YEARS AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T ADDED PRIVATE MESSAGING?!

What can I say about this app? It's basic and in early stages. The dress up feature is fluid, works very well, barely any delays at all. The forums a a bit iffy, still can't view your own posts and topics which is a bummer. Would like to see a nice home feature so we can see friend statuses, recent post and other things, not the mess it is now. Overall the app is simple and easy to use. If you're someone that frequents the forums and dress up, this is for you. If you expect the gaia games and other features to be available, this app isn't for you. For now I'll give this app a 4 star since it's a nice start, just needs a lot of work.

Nothing has really improved. If anything it's actually harder to use dress up. Most of the tags don't work so it makes finding what you're looking for(in a large inventory) either mind numbingly tedious or almost impossible. Not a fan. Seriously, how'd this thing test out of beta? I feel so badly for the programmers, they must be working on some ancient hardware or something...

Loving the app! Especially that your avi designs save between the app and the website, so you don't lose your place. The only thing I dislike is that we don't have the marketplace in the shops tab, only regular stores, so that's a bit of a bummer. Besides that, it's wonderful! It's clean and easy to use.

I founded this game and thought that it can be a great dress up game. What I experienced however is that there is so much limited stuff to do. People that can't afford have to pay to get a lot of stuff. The games are crashing and unloading as well. So if I have to warn you guys, don't get your hopes up and maybe play GachaLife instead. Sure it's a very overrated game, but it's a great app to make characters for free. Otherwise, a very disappointng game.

I thought that I would come back to this game after leaving because I had got bored and forget my first account. The sign up is smooth but the layout isn't the best and hard to navigate (as an LG phone user) and I had forgotten how to use the site in general so I found it hard to customize my avatar. While the game has a special place in my heart I'm hoping there will be improvements in the future.

App is looking great so far, but I kinda expected the features to be updated by now. It's a bit disappointing to still be tapping on things only to get a "feature not supported yet" message.

Need heavy fixes. When I try to use forms, it messes up my posts to a point I have to go to my phone browser to edit my posts to fix it when I shouldn't have to. Can't play any of the games which is major downside, takes forever to load or doesn't even work. Runway doesn't work. It practically doesn't work in general. I have to use Mobile browser to do forums or marketplace. I can't really play any games till I get a laptop.
