Could be a lot better. Major gripe is that it doesn't seem to let me favorite stops on the map itself. It only lets your select favorites by searching each stop. It doesn't even let me see the times from the map, it only tells you where and the stop number. The Go511 app is older and uglier but at least shows me the times for the stops that I choose on the map. It's easier to determine which stop to head to.
I have a Pixel and it won't happen for me at all. I used it for about 2 weeks and it was great then it just crashes every time I try to open it. I've uninstalled, installed, waited 2 more weeks to check if they have fixed it but nope - still unresponsive. Very frustrating.
This version of the app is worthless for estimating arrival time of buses. It is extremely inaccurate and the old version of the app which was accurate had been disabled. I have to use Google Maps to plan bus trips, so I'm considering just uninstalling this app after leaving the review.
Metro is unreliable. It pushed me to get a car from FAIR. The app itself gave me the wrong info. Some partner buses stop running at certain times the app does not mention this it continues to show they run at the times they do not. It directed me to the wrong street. I had to figure it out on maps when I finally did I had to walk more blocks up a hill and called the company she said the bus I needed was already on the free way and was the last bus. She said I should call metro for another route.
Very useful for finding nearby stops, and immediate bus schedules. Occasionally tells you the best route will take 10+ hours, at which point you have to figure it out yourself. Best if used in conjunction with the LA Metro Transit Tracker.
Highly inaccurate time tables. After using this app for a few weeks I have still yet to see an accurate time estimate for the buses. Seems like projected times are just suggestions the bus drivers cannot keep up with due to traffic or what have you.
After the July 2020 update the app just will not load and crashes on start. The support email listed on the app page will block your email. This is also no longer the official la metro app. What a waste of my money as I bought the offline portion of the app so I could read the schedule while underground on the redline. If I could give this app less than one star for the broken state that it is currently in I would, with less going to how abhorrent the app developer's are with support.
All it does is estimate bus arrivles but how it does it is completely random. I've had almost every bus be early or late by a factor of minutes causing me to miss the bus or miss a transfer because the ETA on the walking time is based more on jogging speed then walking speed.
It's a useful app, but many of it's functions are handled better by Google Maps. It's bus arrival times are more accurate than Google, though.
As of 11/4/2019 this app is unuseable do long freezing, crashing of software, lack of time constraints of when a bus coming. If were ask me 2 years ago if app was good I would say "No, not really"
when will metro have app feature to pay with your phone when boarding bus/train? Dash bus already has that feature. Get with the times. It does not help that to load the card through calling/website takes days not instant.
Ahh the App doesn't even load on Android 10. I moved to LA about 7 months ago and I'm quickly learning that the apps sponsored by the city are pretty horrible.
App works when it wants to, wich is hardly ever. Better to use google maps to get around and its more accurate
It doesn't function properly, addresses dissappear constantly, cant search, after writing in or copying-pasting addresses
This app is poorly formatted, not easy to understand and often incorrect. unistalling and simply using the time tables from website.
I had to uninstall this because it was telling me that there are no busses running when I am at the bus stop and it tells me it's there is no times and no busses running. Class a gives you an accurate times of arrival when you do have a bus
I LOVE the apps however my Primary transportation is public trans. I solely rely on the bus schedules but knowing the time of the next bus if into my life style perfectly. Thank you
Not real-time, shows based on published schedule so it will tell you a bus is coming and nothing comes. I call them "ghost buses" . Inaccurate enough to need some serious revamping.
The times ARE WRONG not even to the buses being late, I mean the times on the app DONT even match the times on "nextbus" and are completely inaccurate with reality
Does this even work anymore? It used to be great but now it just shows a blank page whenever I open it. I contacted the support but no one responded.
Line 206 always freaking late. Never on time. They said make sure you're at the bus stop 5 minutes before the time that says on this app.bunch of ba. More of freaking 30 minutes!!!
This won't run on my pixel 2 using android 10? Opens to a blank white screen, non operational. I'd like to use this app.
The bus in DTLA (460 to NorwalkStation) doesn't show up like the app describes, at 8:04 pm at Flower and 7th, and this is in the evening. I always end up waiting an hour for the next bus.
Is not accurate. If you check the official metro web site's next trip tool, it shows something completely different
Don't work times are all wrong, just use Google maps give you more accurate time and shows how late this buses run.
barely functional, unintuitive, doesn't work offline (can't even cache previous search)
I downloaded the app twice and each time it would not open and froze my Samsung phone.
The new UX design was obviously done by someone who has never taken public transportation. At launch, The map opens cropped-in so tightly you always get an error message that reads "there are no stops in your area." I spent months thinking the app was abandoned, until I found instructions that were equally unintuitive. There are duplicate stops for either side of the street with no way of being able to distinguish the difference. I have to use Google Maps now because this app is no longer useful.
