GO Ranger - Unofficial Field Guide

Amazing, until it wasn't. This app was everything you needed, a convenient place with event news, research reward lists, checklists, etc. And then... Suddenly... It stopped. Only it didn't - suddenly, in order to get any useful functionality, we need to pay, not once, but monthly. Why would I spend $2.99 a month on a game I play for free?

Edit: Thank you for your response and quick fixing the problem with the ads. I've been using the app since launch and I find it very useful. I like how quick you add the event timers and the quests. Original review: Ads are covering the menu on the bottom of the screen. App is almost unusable.

I like the concept, style and structure of this app. Also the informations are always up to date and multiple languages are supported. The checklist module is great. Unfornately I've decided to delete it. It's extremely slow and somehow uses much more bandwidth than it should. It's on my Oneplus 6 by the way, if that matters. I may take a look into it in the future to see if it got optimized.

Couldn't use but it seems to have fixed itself. The ad banner was blocking the whole lower menu thus making the app virtually unusable. This was only an issue the first time I used it. Everything is working now and it seems like a great app but you can't take back a first impression. That bug deffinatly should be addressed.

I love the concept, and I loved using it for the few weeks that it worked. But then a few days ago it just wouldn't open. Stuck on the red loading screen, as several other users have commented already. I restarted my phone, no change. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, no change. Uninstalled app, restarted phone, installed app. Still NOTHING. I'm extremely frustrated because several users have left this complaint, and I can't see that it has been addressed.

A little buggy but useful. When it works, it's really good, but recently it's been buggy. sometimes crashing, and today all graphics disappeared. It always prompts you to upgrade and use a patreon email every time I open the app, may get annoying for some who don't want to register for a patreon email.

At first it was great. Then suddenly, every picture of a mon was blue. It has stayed like that for months, issue was never addressed. Then I was told to migrate & get the new version. I avoided this for a while until I thought to myself "Well maybe the new version won't take so long to load & won't lag & won't have the annoying blue pictures that leave u needing to figure out which mon it is by its silhouette". So I got the new app, I migrated, & I got to use it a few times, 3 tops, but it still had blue pics, it was still slow to load & use, & then suddenly I couldn't open the app at all! It stays on red loading screen for half a minute, then I get a quick flash of the apps first screen, but then it goes back to red loading screen. I tried everything & even tried developers suggestion to force close it twice, but nothing has worked, & I have now uninstalled the app, both versions. It seems the only issue(ad covering navigator button)the developers want to fix is the one that gets them money, ad sponsors! Feel free to use your money to fix the problems that so many now ex users have! When people with all different kinds of phones are having the few same problems (blue pictures, red loading screen, a quick flash then back to load screen) I think it's safe to say it's the app not the device. Given how long these issues have been occurring I'm starting to wonder if the developers even care to fix anything just because they're getting enough people who don't experience problems so they're still making daily ad view quota.

i love this App! Sure, its currently super, super slow, and sometimes will not update correctly... IF you can get past that & get it functioning correctly, like I do bout 75% of the time, it IS just chock full of cool stuff! Like a checklist system where you can create seperate checklists under categories like PokéDex (Entry), Shiny, 100% IVs, etc... Theres also a rather Great Raid guide full of useful info as well... Like i said its Full of Great info. IF it functions correctly! ONLY USE w/WiFi!

Really like the idea of this PoGo assist app, lots of useful information. But I think there few improvements that's needed: 1. UI of this app is basically a copy of iOS interface, which I hope android version should have a interface following android standard; 2. Optimize the launch time, it takes me 5 to 10 seconds on the welcome screen sometimes; 3. I'd love to pay for the app to remove the ads in this app. Hoping developer will consider my suggestions.

Really helpful with quick guides for raids and all the possible egg hatches and field research rewards. Also greatly appreciate the shiny checklist and the ability to make your own. However, any time I try to edit a checklist, the game crashes. Hope that gets fixed soon. Otherwise, it's a phenomenal app.

This WAS a great app. I haven't been able to get past the red screen in over a month using different phones, hoping it was something on my side. Unfortunately, after many tries, I'm giving up and uninstalling. If the app works on your phone, it's great. But if you're like me and can't get past the first screen, it's frustrating

i used to love this app and have recommended it to so many people and use it daily, but lately it won't do its daily update. I've installed and reinstalled, then had to redo all 10 of my checklists and still having same issue. I've tried on Wi-Fi and data, with no luck. please fix this issue, or I'll have to find something else... and i really love your app. if issue is resolved, I'll gladly change to 5 stars

I love the app and use it all the time. It would be helpful if you created a countdown widget; not necessarily for all the timers at once because that would be bulky. We could choose which individual countdowns we would be interested in seeing on the widget. I'm currently using a countdown app to achieve that. Maybe a "What to look for" widget.

I had the 'old version' and it was a pretty cool app. Nothing spectacular you could not get from other sources, but all nicely organized and in one place. I really enjoyed using it. Then it prompted me to install the new version, which I did. Worked twice since then. For a while now, I have not been able to get past the red loading screen. Just like a lot of other people, apparently. Sad...

An informative app that tells you all past, present, and upcoming events in Pokemon Go. It also has a Pokedex, guides to game mechanics, and a helpful list feature. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but some parts of the app are just really slow and unresponsive. If that was fixed, I'd give this app 5 stars for sure. Edit: it's working much better now

Overall, I like the idea of this app. However, I can't use it. This app seems to much heavier than it needs to be. While using the app, it runs excruciatingly slowly, and affects my phone's response time. There are some pages that I cannot access at all. The app will freeze completely. Eventually I'll get an ANR (App Not Responding). The areas of the app that I can access are so slow they're not really usable. While I love the idea, I am forced to leave a poor rating until this pretty major issue is fixed. Once I can actually use the app, I will evaluate how I ACTUALLY like it, and leave a better review.

I used this app for a while on iOS, and it worked great. The calendar feature is very handy. However I got a new Android phone, and the app doesn't load. It gets stuck on main screen every time. Tried reinstalling it, but it still doesn't work.

So this used to be such a handy little app, heaps of good content and i actually recomended it as the answer to pretty much every question regarding raid counters and event timelines. Now though the app wont load, its permanently stalled onbthe red splash screen. Very disapointing following on from such a spectacular start.

Very rarely loaded. Have installed over a 4 month period over 15 times. If it ever loaded i set it up great idea. Tracked shiny and 100s. But after setting up if it even loaded could never get it back up again. Pointless app if they never fix these issues.

This is an overall great and super helpful app that I'd recommend to any serious Pokémon Go player! The only issue I have with the app is its excessive amount of phone storage it takes up (for me, 462 MB!) I fail to make sense of how such a rather simple app could take up nearly half a gigabyte worth of storage, but for users like me who rarely need to fret over that matter, the app still works brilliantly!

will edit later if things change but for now the app seems like it would be good. very informational but the checklist wont work for me. it says click on it to toggle but then it doesnt do anything except pop up with a window that says that pokemon isnt found on any of your lists.

Absolutely amazing app. I use Calcy IV for IV and on the fly raid boss party setup. This app though has just about everything else a new or even veteran player could want. Research task list, raid counter lists, egg hatch lists, customized checklists (I'm a lucky/shiny/perfect IV hunter), and up to date timers for in game events. Now all I need is a real time map for raids and I'd be set! This app is a must have for any player.

Not sure why but for a long time, all the images in this app have become blue, no details left whatsoever. It's actually quite bothersome. It used to be normal, showing the Pokémon's pictures. I suppose it's just an eyesore. App works nicely otherwise.

Great app, crippling update, with the new ad bar pretty much completly blocking navigation. There doesn't seem to be any way to upgrade or remove ads either, so the app has just been terminally crippled.

I'm editing my previous 3 star review because the developer fixed the problem with the ads that made the app so difficult to use. This app is one of the most useful apps if you play Pokemon Go, with all kinds of reference information, as well as current and upcoming events. I check it regularly!
