On my Android phone, there's supposed to be a bus moving across the screen when I show it to the driver, but it doesn't appear. Luckily they can see my valid code, and tapping the screen switches the background from day to night. But when the driver doesn't see a moving bus, they hesitate to let me on and I have to show them the apps home screen and so on. It's a little inconvenient. Please fix it asap! Other than that, the app has given me no issues.

I use this app frequently and it works pretty well. I've never had any major problems like it crashing or other annoying things like that. It's cool cause you can use your debit or credit card to buy your tickets, you can't do this anywhere else but at the Via metro center so that's convenient. The only thing I've found that I don't like is that tickets you just bought on your account won't transfer to a different device even if you log into your account from it. But overall, pretty good! :)

I've used it for about 8 weeks now. Suddenly today I've experienced the "close app" message as I attempted to purchase a new fare. It's disheartening because this app was pretty convenient. So much so I'd suggested my call canter reach out to VIA in order to partner since we have had several people frustrated due to transportation. I truly hope they are able to correct the issue.

The app is pretty decent for what it is. It is increadibly basic and frankly I expected more given the options it displays on the sidebar. However my biggest issue is that I keep getting kicked out of that app any time I try to use it as of late and that is a serious inconvenience. I keep getting a notification saying my app is locked and it won't let me sign into my account. This is very frustrating and I have tickets qued up on the app that I can't access which is wasting my hard earned money!

I put a battery saver on my phone to make sure my phone last me all day. And I bought the 31 day pass on the app for convenience. And because the bus doesn't move on my electronic ticket. I have to restart the app and turn off my battery saver which drains my battery a little. I think I'll just buy the paper 31 day pass at HEB or the transit station. The app is not really convenient or worth the hassle just to get on the bus.

Worse app I've ever used. It's just links and it literally opens up my google maps instead of it actually having it's own anything. You dont need this app. Its worthless. Just use gmaps then. Everything is a link and it takes forever to load. Also bugs out and closes when it takes too long. Save yourself the headache and just dont use this app ever.

Size. This app is waaaayyyyyy too big. This should be a simple, small, app. However it's huge. I wouldn't be downloading it if they fixed their texting system. I know I can call for bus info, but the menu for the automated system is nucking futs. Via is really good at a ton of stuff, but their info collecting(for the customer /rider) systems suuuuuuuccccckkkkkssss donkey balls. Thanks. =]

Unable to access app. Error is all I get since March. Haven't been able to access the app to make any purchases. Called customer service and all they said was "it should work". Well it doesn't and it's annoying because I don't carry cash usually. Used to work and I enjoyed it when it did.

App was great until latest update. After the update any attempt to run it results in a never ending spinning circle. The only hope to get it to work is to reboot your phone and even then the chances aren't great it's going to work.

Useless, as it does not actually have a map with routes and so forth IN THE APP. Don't bother, just try to make use of google maps... All this is, is just a stupid attempt to set up payment methodology and what not. Doesn't actually help you find out how to get from Point A to Point B. Don't bother...

App does the minimum of what is needed. The larger issue is with VIA. Buses regularly change arrival times or simply don't show up, only to be listed as having left the stop already. Currently i have been waiting for 40 mins and two buses should have passed. Nothing. VIA is incompetent at the very least. Spend the money if you can and use Uber or Lyft

When I could use it on my Android, worked perfectly. After all the updates, the app no longer works, it shuts off and I rely heavily on the app to pay with my card so I can store passes as well. That's forcing back alot of people from riding the bus.

Convenient, quick and easy when ones in a rush to use. Also with covid around no need to use the payment box in front by the driver to pay as you get on board. Just show your phone with your ticket paid off and that's it!

All I want to do is schedule some trips. It takes me to Google Maps. If I needed a map, I'd be driving and wouldn't need VIA Trans. It took longer to load then it did to figure out this is app. is useless for me. I'll pay attention to reviews next time. 🙄

needs password retrieval function but doesn't have one. So, every time I forget my password I have to call in and pray that someone's going to pick up the other line! This is very annoying and inconvenient because sometimes you have to wait an hour just for someone to pick up the phone!

It's really helpful and much easier now to pay for bus fare for a trip,all day pass, seven day pass, or a monthly pass and you put a stop on waste cause with the app you no longer need paper all you need is a phone and mostly everybody Carry's their phone with them every where they go. Simply put via made it easier for us to ride the bus all over San Antonio,texas and some not all little towns around San Antonio. Thank you via. As of recently the app keeps crashing, prompting me to close it. I have reinstalled it twice and still same issue. I'm having a hard time catching the bus due to this issue.

All most had a bus drive deny me because the bus under the ticket is not moving. Even tho when i click the screen it changes color. Even went to the start of the app to show that the ticket is valid. What the hell there should be way to verif the ticket not just look for an animation of a bus moving.

App works good. Only thing I would say needs improvment on is, when you are planning your trip and want to see times/routes for future times it doesn't give you accurate info all the time. Other than that it works good.

App work fine till about a month ago. Now can't login. My buddy tried their account and it wouldn't work either. Support just says it should work, but it doesn't. No answer and no help. I don't recommend this app till they fix this issue.

*notice * after a recent update the app did not read my internet connection, to anyone experiencing a similar issue, just Uninstall them reinstall, you'll have to log back in. New update makes the app run much more smooth and looks great

Just tried to install on my phone but instantly get an error message that there was a problem launching the app & to make sure I have network connection. Tapping retry does nothing. I'm clearly connected to my home wifi. Why isn't this working?

I bought a ticket of 31 days for 38 dollars and since then the application has not worked for me, I uninstalled and reinstalled it but when recovering my ticket the application stops working again, I don't know how let you know about my trouble.... you told me the operators know about the issues but It does not seem that the operator is aware of the problems of the application, since one of the bus drivers told me clearly that if I had that problem I should pay for the ticket, I need my money

Fairly user friendly, but you need to read through before buying anything to make sure you understand that when you click a ticket, it becomes active. Lots of helpful resources for riders as well.
