Ok, so this app is not perfect, but I think it is the best of its kind. You can pay your kids allowance, they have an optional debit card that is free unless you haven't used it in the last 12 months, and my kids love it! Only suggestion- if you are going to use the Auto-Save feature, set the lump sum to be transferred and then divvy it up between goals. It does separate transactions for each goal if you try to do it that way.
Goalsetter is a awsome app. You get too set tons of goals for yourself and get to learn to save. I love goalsetter. Whenever you transfer money its there in minutes!
This app is #goals for me! Love the friendly and intuitive interface design; made it really easy for me to get my son and I saving in minutes. Better yet, it has gotten us talking about saving and budgeting in a natural way. He likes seeing his balance go up, and we're both learning from the quizzes!
This truly allows my nephew the ability to learn investments and manage money. It takes the thinking out of savings and allows me to contribute to multiple accounts in one location.
My kids and I really enjoy the app. I like that you can manage allowance, and connect them to chores or goals right in the app. My kids are younger and they love the Lit quizzes that come each week. Because they don't have devices of their own, they participate with me on my phone. I appreciate that this opens the door to financial literacy convos that I wouldn't necessarily think of myself. My kids will be so much further ahead than I was when they venture out on their own.
For some reason the app is having trouble verifying my identity after I've put in all of the correct information. A complete hassle!
Update! As it turns out the issue was having wasn't with the app it was with my phone! Goalsetter customer service is the best and I love the fact that I was able to work with one agent until my issue was resolved. We will definitely be staying with Goalsetter! Thank you so much for all of your help. Previous post: Was working great but all of the sudden when I try to move money the app closes up. I updated the app as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
I just saw this on shark tank and thought what a great idea. However, upon downloading the app, I logged into my bank via the app and it couldnt verify it, even though it connected through the app. Ok fine, it said I could do the slower version by 2 small deposits, nope still dont work. I dont use a major bank, I use chime which is still a bank account with a routing number and account number. It should have advised it doesnt use prepaid cards/banks before having me enter private info.
We love this app and company. It teaches my kids financial literacy in a fun and engaging manner. Customer service is fantastic!
This app is super cool and versatile. I'm using it as a way to save money for myself and hope to get goalcards for my children's goals in the future. I may also use the allowance feature for chores! Experiences are so much more important than things, and it will help with the clutter in my house with less toys being bought. Awesome!

Pretty decent, and I'd like to see more improvements! I'd like for my child to be able to chose her chores and not necessarily have to complete them all. Id also like to have more time options that a week or daily. Like I'd like to be able to ask her to read one book a month. Not a week. Id like the month option. Her card came in good time.
I activater the cards and put money on the cards. However my kids are unable to use the cards.
10 STARS- Highly Recommend The Goal Setter app is great especially if you are looking for hands on ways to teach ANYONE about financial literacy. I have been recommending EVERYONE. Goal Setter - is extremely user friendly. -Great for youth all ages. -has interactive activities such as a financial quiz with different level ranging from youth to adults. I look forward to the weekly quizzes! -has several options to save and to SET GOALS for multiple kids. -is/has very detailed tracking system
Set It and Forget It! I love this app! I set a target for an annual amount and I exceeded it. The app will every so often ask you if you would like to use certain options, such as rounding up to the nearest dollar or five. If you choose to do so, you will definitely meet or even exceed your goal. Happy goal goal setting!
Every time I go to transfer money TO my bank, suddenly there is a server issue. However, transferring money FROM my bank is never a problem. Then you have to wait days to hear back from customer service. There are too many other apps that transfer easily with no issues. Don't waste your time on this one!!!
I love this concept! I first had issues getting back into the app after setting it up. I informed Goalsetter. They responded promptly and explained what happened. The associate was very kind and informative! It was a mistake on my part. I can't wait to get my kids going on their savings plan. Thanks for providing great customer service!
Not a bad app. Love the fact kids are learning to save and budget. I do have a few dislikes, notifications on app do not clear or dissappear unless I follow through. For example the financially lit notification won't go away on my parent app. Also we are on a fix income so I have asked my kids to do quizzes only once a week for money. Cant keep up with the deposit amounts. Wish we could limit or allocate an amount per week. Also would like for chores completion approval options to be daily.
Tried installing this app. REALLY hoped it would work. Couldn't get 100% registered. Exited and tried opening the app. It wouldn't open. Rebooted my phone and the app opened and wanted to start the entire process of registering all over again. Too many glitches for me to feel safe connecting my bank info and money.
Great way to save! I have an account as well as my kids and we are impressed with this app. The quizzes are a great way to save extra money, and you can set goals to save for specific items such as a new phone, tablet, vacation etc.
Though there are a few things being worked out, the support folks and developers definitely care about the customer experience and are very helpful. The app does keep things well organized and is worth the learning curve.
Love the app and would give 5 stars but I had some issues connecting my bank in the beginning also the funds take a long time to transfer from my linked funding source to goalsetter app, I wish it could be instant. Aside from that Customer service is great, fast, friendly and helpful responses to my issues as well as following up
I'm updating my comment on this app. Ive been having nothing but trouble with this app. Had the card for months but haven't been able to use it bc they froze there account. Fixed that part, now I can't get into the app. Asks for phone number then it says it's already registered well duuh!!!! Tried emailing but never got a response back. Can someone fix this please???
I am absolutely amazed with goal setters performance. It has made it easy and fun to save money for myself as well as my children and also my nieces and my nephew! It's awesome to save up spending money for my children and for their college and also saving no money on chores! I'm highly satisfied with goal setter and their team. Whenever I have questions or concerns they are at to get back to me quickly and timely. They are very kind understanding and take the time to explain any questions. ❤️❤️
If it were possible...I would like to strangle who ever made your ad!!! The bloody bleedn' thing has gotten hold of three of my games, and won't let go, no way out!!! Scrapeyard tycoon, is one of them. I have to kick out of my game, into home base, and start over again!!! PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!! Thanks.
The account I made for my daughter was randomly deactivated. After transfering some money, the next day I went to log into the account and the $39 that was there is now gone. I've contacted the developers more than once and have got no response. I do not recommend puting any money into this app. They will make it vanish into thin air.
A new interaction with receiving and transferring money. This app is a great tool for early use of managing your money, being able to keep a certain amount in savings and the rest in spending, and even setting up a goal for something that you might possibly buy in the future. I highly recommend this for parents that would like to monitor their children's allowance and spending habits.
I first attempted to sign up for Goalsetter in December 2020. I received 'could not verify your identity' messages from the app. Four emails, two phone calls and a fax later, still not fully onboarded to the app. The wait times for customer service averaged 15 minutes. I was asked to fax copies of my government id and SSN card over but received NO acknowledgement they'd been received. This does not inspire confidence. We'd been looking forward to using the product. Cannot recommend.
I have had this app for a year and now it will not download on my new phone or open.
I have asked repeatedly for them to close my account and cancel my monetary transfers. They do not respond. I am so furious. I have wasted $250 with this app. I highly do not recommend this app to anyone. Go to your local bank and get your children an account!!!
