The GocycleConnect Live Dash is a graphically intense app. If you intend to use this feature over an extended period of time, we recommend you consult with your phone manufacturer regarding screen susceptibility to image burn.
In the event that we are contacted by an authorised law enforcement agency regarding information that could help in an investigation to recover a stolen Gocycle, we will comply with the request and assist the investigation which could include providing the law enforcement agency with all data related to the registration of the Gocycle being investigated.

Does not work well with G4i and Android. Was promised an update this week to fix issues, Still waiting.
This is just a bike configurator and it does the job if you're lucky enough. When I saw the dashboard I thought there was something more to it, given the bike price. Wrong. This is a halfheartedly attempt to make the Gocycle experience better. The UI is old, dull while the UX must be improved. I can't believe such a beautifully designed bike comes with this. There's so much that could have been done, such as an integration with Google Fit or Maps. But again, just use this for your first setup.
unreliable. on Galaxy S9 I keep having to reinstall as the bike goes into a mode where it only gives a fraction of the power and makes the bike pretty much non electric making it just a heavy bike to pedal normally. i am now going to reset upload again for the 7th time but if it becomes a permanent feature the bike will have to go. it has some nice features and display stats. setting modes could be improved.
the app has twice now switched from US mode to european. Edit: make that three times. i have to uninstall and resetup my gocycle each time. Edit: make that six. to be clear. each time this happens, i must uninstall the app, reinstall and set up my gocycle gx again. edit 7 times. Edit 8 times, there was a good two weeks that i didnt have to and it felt like a dream.
Astonishingly poor app considering product and basically stop using it, main issues which I think need to be fixed: 1. One can't see stats without the bike being on/near it. 2. Loading time is very long/needs to be optimised. Connecting everytime takes a while/fails half the time (reason why I stopped using it) and doesn't happen automatically to your bike 3. Stats 'saved' on bike/synchronisation doesn't work (cycled distance total is ~200km but ODO is ~600km)
App stopped working so I contacted Tech Support who asked me to email a pile of stuff to them. After numerous email exchanges and uninstall/reinstalls the problem was finally sorted out. Basically, whilst displaying the first page data, none of the other buttons in the app worked - they were greyed out. So I couldn't use the cog at the top, the mode tab or the more stats tab. The final solution was; 1. Remove the GoCycle as a paired device in Bluetooth settings 2. Go in to Apps and 'Force Stop' the GoCycle app 3. Clear cache and data. 4. Uninstall 5. Reinstall 6. Restart the app and reconnect with the bike through Bluetooth. All now working. Bike is great, but the app seems a bit flaky - not really satisfactory given the cost of the bike. Shame that such a good product is let down by shoddy coding/design in the app.
Gocycle makes excellent bicycles and I really love my Gocycle. But this app is pretty bad, and I wish users weren't forced to use it to get any functionality from the bike. The app is clunky, difficult to navigate, and hard to understand why certain options are available while others aren't. You have to use this app to "activate" your bike EVERY TIME YOU INSTALL THE APP -- not just once per frame number. If you get a new phone, reinstall the app, want your partner or friend to be able to use it, or whatever. And activating the bike involves waiting for a confirmation email -- that sometimes never comes (happened to me) -- and clicking on a link to activate. Worse yet, at some point over the past weekend the app somehow swapped out the firmware on my bike to the EU version instead of the North American that had been installed. It forced my bike to top out at 15mph speeds instead of 20mph. This is the brave new world of bicycling: manufacturers forcing crappy software on its users and then botching firmware updates.
I love the bike, but this app has ruined the experience so much I'm thinking if selling it. Got a new phone and now can't connect, so I can't adjust my settings. I'll never buy a bike that forces the use of an app ever again.
App is steadily improving but you need to follow Mike King's instructions of 13/8/19 if you upgrade your phone. Unfortunately you then lose all your historical data.
really confusing user interface. Needs to stay connected to bike at all time to get the stats (some like max speed never work for me).
The app is nicely designed but I keep disconnected from my G4 while cycling. Need to open and osé several times to connect.

Unable to pair with gocycle
Good app. But still needs a lot of improvement... being able to see individual rides, sync with outside apps, have some sort of mapping to see where you have been while riding... est distant left with current battery % and setting...
Update: Gocycle has been helping individuals with this issue so that the upgrade to v5+ doesn't break everything, so modifying to 3 stars. I'm still not going to be recommending Gocycle to new buyers as they're presumably now software limiting the top speed for all new buyers. Prior review: DO NOT UPGRADE. I'm quite shocked that Gocycle thinks it is OK to diminish the differentiating performance that justified their high price via a software upgrade. If you can stay on v4, you should.
Is speed button and top speed 40 kph back in version 6? I won't upgrade from V 4
WARNING, this app will speed limit your GoCycle. Version 5.2 enforces a mandatory speed limit in EU of 15mph (fast walk/slow jog) don't install unless you want to ruin your bike!
These issues and bugs have all been solved with v5.2 but you might need to contact GoCycle with your frame number if you still can't set your personal settings as with V4.

My bike lost max speed after I updated this app, now my g3 are slower than Brompton
I like the new app. Having the speed and controls on the "dash" while I ride is a huge improvement!
A great improvement but no way to look at stats without being by bike. Where is the log and how can we view it.
App started limiting the speed. I'm using the latest version updated it on Friday. EDIT: Updating the bike firmware did the trick, all good now

The app simply doesn't work as intended. When I attempt to change the bike to a different mode (city, eco, etc), nothing happens. When I try to save a custom setting, nothing happens. It doesn't show information on my bike unless the bike is currently on. It constantly reverts to the "setup" screen, even though I have already connected my bike to it.
