I had no problem setting up the fundraiser for a family in need. However, using the app to set up the bank transfers was an exercise in futility. I attempted this 5 times. I kept getting a notification that I "could not connect to GoFundMe". After those 5 attempts, I utilized the website instead and the transfer was successful. Maybe look into the connectivity issues?
Great overall, but there are some things to be improved. Would be nice to be able to include emojis in the text and the comments. Also, the picture/video update glitches often and takes a very long time to work.
Good app. Does exactly what it is meant to do. Can be shared to multiple places. It does have fees. Need to watch how much you allow them to hold. Would suggest to have a regularly scheduled withdrawals so that you don't get charged to much in fees. They charge by the amount you have that they are holding for you.
It is easy to use and provides transparency, giving confidence to the donors. Easy transfer of the money and gives an option of transferring to someone else. It enables Most people to donate from different parts of the world. The staff are also very supportive and reach out to offer advice and support. I would recommend it at any time. Thank you
Works well, but notifications are hit or miss. The app takes donations immediately, posts updates just fine, it is easy to share. But I don't get notified when there is a donation. Either I get a notification HOURS later or not at all. Same with milestone notifications. I got 50% of my goal yesterday, I saw the donation at least 30 minutes before the app sent the milestone alert, and then 4 hours after that, I got the notification for the donation. I've been keeping up with donations myself.
Definitely could use an upgrade to add more features. Gettiing people to donate is difficult enough, and you don't allow any way for me to show these donors that their money is going where it should be, to avoid scams, which personally is the main reason I hesitate to donate. Your company has the ability to make this app so much more robust and I'm not sure why, especially with all of the funds you must be receiving from fees and "tips", and do not like your 15% default selection.
It is easy for people to donate but they need to work on how quickly identity and bank verifications take. Also really need a phone number for support. I had submit a ticket then had to respond "yes i need someone to call" to an email to verify i wanted to speak to someone then wait. The lady was VERY friendly and quick to help once I received her call. Now hopefully it is fixed and I can transferred funds successfully.
I had excellent service and funds were given just as described. I like the chat service and Ken was great. The delay my fault. I didn't upload the correct documents. So be careful! When he received the correct documents he did his job and released the funds! If you have emergency such as I did, I highly recommend this service. It is saving my life right now.
To start off, I made a go fund me to try and buy a car bc I need one and within two days it was taken down and I got no explanation as to why. additionally, the website itself is very poorly put together. If I could less of a rating I would. Not to mention the fact that you tip them and they still take 5% or so of the money that was donated.
It took me about two weeks before I was finally able to setup the entire app. I couldn't set up the bank transfers but after several chats with customer service they fixed the issue. Since then it's been a great app to use. Easy and very user friendly. I recommend GoFundMe to anyone looking to create a fundraiser. I gave it 4 stars because of the difficulty I had with the banking portion otherwise it would easily be 5 stars.
I am so frustrated with the set up of this app. I have mistyped my phone number, so I wanted to go back. However there is no option for that. At this point I have redownloaded the app 3 times and used 3 different emails. I am out of emails to use, because multiple times my other phone numbers . I am currently downloading a new texting app just to make a GoFundMe. There's so many ways you could fix this, like giving the ability to change the number, or giving the ability to send the code to an em
Gofund me is an amazingly helpful tool, for anyone who is needing to raise money. The only thing, is, it takes so long to receive the money, and there are times money is needed immediately, like in emergency situations! Otherwise, this program is great!
Updates don't post from the app, it just swirls but never posts the update. I have to go to my computer to post an update. 4/28- updates from app still do not work an no way to get help that I can see.
I love the purpose of the app and how easy it is to use but i dont like the transferring process and how long it take for funds to get process and transferred. We do this bcuz we need it as a emergency money. But overall its i great app. If ur not in a rush to receive money i recommend it.
It is a mystery why others are reporting issues with the app. From my experience it is excellent, really easy to use, accurate, and well-designed. Not a single problem of any sort.
Won't let me share. Just keeps loading.. How can I get funded if no one knows about the campaign? 🤷♂️ Also, I had to create a new account because my password stopped working, and when I attempted to reset it via the link sent to my email, it only returns me to the login page. This app is so messed up right now. 🤦♂️ DEFINITELY not a good thing during a pandemic, and around the holidays. 🙄
Simple to set up. Important when in crisis & scared. Fairly easy to edit. Easy to share. So far it is beginning to work, I need to learn more on spreading the word. Every small donation is so healing in itself.
Thought this would be a good app to use, but I only have the option to turn off all notifications. I should be able to turn off those pesky reminders to share on social media, even though I already shared it on social media.
I WILL NEVER USE THIS APP AGAIN. LAST THING WE NEED IN A FAMILY CRISIS IS NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THE FUNDS. MY IDENTITY WAS VERIFIED, MY BANK LISTED BY NAME ON THEIR LIST, QUAUDRUPAL checked all info I entered with an account I've had for YEARS and have used other online apps with no issues before. It keeps saying my email address is invalid. When I finally make it pass that point, when I press sign up and launch, nothing happens.

Easy to set up an account. Easy to link a bank account. Donations transfer easily, no hassle. App is easy to use and works well.
GFM is very user-friendly. It was so easy to start and run my fundraiser. Something I never thought I would ever have to do. I love the alerts to donations. It makes thanking donors in a timely manner so easy. Also the email tips are great.
Friendly, easy to understand. Do your research before creating a account is the best advice i could give. Possibly have someone pre read your fund. Ask for help isn't easy but don't be shy. Most get to the point of asking for a little help at some point.

For some reason I can't complete my fundraiser. I have all of the requirements, but when I click finish it just does this loading thing then nothing. It's like I never started it.
Mixed feelings about this app. Although very appreciative of the services for those us in need of help in troubled times. I'm both surprised and a bit bewildered at how long it takes for not just myself but others as well to even appear as if achievement is forthcoming &that unfortunately even then doesn't mean you'll achieve your goal. To me that just doesn't seem right especially from an app that lets you post, repost, &update darn near anytime &all over the world. Just a food for thought.
