GoGuardian Parent App

The idea was there. This app is extremely glitchy and keeps crashing. It really gets on my nerves. And it seems I'm not the only one with this problem as well since everyone else is saying that it keeps crashing. Terrible app, would NOT RECOMMEND.

Alright heres my take as a student who has used the product. You dont have to agree with me but I would say at least hear me out. Its an invasion of privacy. It can see all of the apps open on personal non-school issued devices and record the whole screen with pause/play controlled by the teacher. Id be fine if it just controlled chrome but the fact that it controls everything just is terrible. It leaves files on the device that it runs on and overall is just bad in general. Conclusion, dont buy

Never again. I got this app to see what my kids were doing and making sure they stay on topic with their work. Not even 30 minutes in and the app starts glitching, closing tabs on its own accord, and then it crashed. Thumbs down.

This app keeps closing down and making my computer restart there are so many ads like every 2 minutes u get an ad, there are many bugs that are causing my computer to act up 😬 don't install. Waste of time

I was already having bad work anxiety with my schoolwork and could barely get assignments done but I was okay enough to use what little willpower I had to push through enough to get decent grades. Now I can't do work without being watched 24/7 and I certainly am having my privacy violated which adds onto my paranoia/anxiety which has made my anxiety skyrocket and as a result it was too crippling to keep up with work and I am not on the path of failing nearly every class. Thanks for that.

It's bad at my school crss. I'm 7th grade teacher 1.its hard to use. 2. The quality of the video is really bad. 3. It has a 2 minute delay of video. 4. My students can easily bypass it DO NOT USE

It could easily be used to spy on children for thing not meant for school. Its also invading the privacy children have. It's useless when all the person making sure the kid is on task has to do to check is ask them to show their screen! Very bad quality aswell.

Worthless. The information provided is essentially a haystack, and you have to find the needle. And very little information is provided. Also, if you actually block a site, it doesn't work. This is total junk.

This app is overall terrible. I'm a parent of two kids and this app is tremendously glitchy and keeps crashing. It's definitely not my laptop since it's new. Nothing has been fixed. Please don't get this app.

The worst app no privacy agents all around the world were were spying on me. People kept looking on my screen from the app when i was minding my own business because a hacker whent on the app and hacking into my account. Showed explicit sexual contact because of someone in the apps program.

This app should not exist, this apps purpose is to get into your kids business which is pretty controlling. I mean I get it some kids might into inappropriate stuff but this is not ok. My teacher is using this too and I understand that they just want to make sure we're doing our work but this is just stupid, please delete this app all the other reviews are pretty crappy too.

Love being able to keep tabs on my kids while having to homeschool. I can't be in 3 places at once so this is a life saver! Keeping honest children honest! I've had no issues whatsoever. One suggestion is I would love to be able to type in a date instead of scrolling for hours it seems to get back to that particular date.

I have downloaded several times and entered email account registered with the school, and on each occasion did not receive an email link to register. It is really frustrating.

You suck at helping school lives. Why is it when ANY of my teachers use this piece of absolute garbage, my works just get a stupid "Uh oh" screen? One of my teachers for some reason likes to limit tabs to very small numbers. So when I try to open a new one, it instantly closes it. And worst of all, why have the teachers see every single damn thing on everyone's screen? It just feels like a stealth mission until the app is disabled. Who really likes these apps that just invades privacy?

NOO! I hate it!! these teachers can see exactly what your doing! and if ur zoom is over, I have been inconntact with teachers who STAY ONLINE after classes are over and block YOUTUBE, NETFLIX I UNDERSTAND ITS HELPFUL FOR ADULTS BUT THINK OF THE KIDS

Useless. I've tried to block YouTube for over an hour now. All you can do is turn off the wifi and see what website your child is on, NOT what they're doing. Did you know pinterest has a chat feature? I didn't know. So, whats the point of this besides bothering me? I can shut off the wifi through the my wifi app. Irritated.

I work in school technology and this app works fine. It does have to be set up by the school district before you can use it (for student privacy reasons) so don't think you can just download it and go of this isn't something your district has already configured for you. Most of the low reviews are just students upset about having their internet monitored or restricted.

I'm a student of a class that uses it and it crashes more than a drunk+blind driver in rush hour to the makers ,you have have programming skills of an animal that's brain is smoother than a perfect sphere

As a student i personally hate it because its just annoying when were doing work at home at teachers can connect at anytime. Basically im saying its a invasion of us students privacy.

Oh my god yes finally something where I can see what my kids are doing on their Chromebook! I used to have trouble where kids would just play games in the middle of class not anymore 5 stars.

This app needs to give parents the same access teachers have to view the student's desktop and cursor movements in real-time. I want to be able to see what my child is doing online while I am at work just like his teachers can. parents and teachers should have the same access to the child's computer.

This app sucks. First you have a app that watch you online and even when you are offline you can see what students is doing. BLOCKING NOT JUST YOUTUBE BUT ALL THE LEARNING VIDEOS AND WIKIPEDIA AND ALSO DISCORD! Then you gonna make A STUPID APP THAT DON'T EVEN WORK! YOUR CHANNEL EVEN HAS MORE DISLIKES THAN LIKES AND COMMENTS ARE TURNED OFF, maybe because you have bad reviews lol. And you can't see the numbers of likes and dislikes but one video had a lot of dislikes cuz i saw the number😂😅😃😄

Works as needed and give me a full view of my kids activity online on their chromebook. The only thing i will change is provide the full link of the page they visited. Right now the program only give you the website .

This app doesnt work and not to mention a huge invasion of privacy. It glitches out and is actually very creepy when you think about it

It's very laggy and keeps crashing I don't like it I can see teachers or parents using it but it shuts so my phone alot and I will NEVER get the app again.

Doesn't work. Only comes up as a blank white screen. Never even got to where I would enter an email or anything.

Bro invasion of privacy I'm so glad my school has not set this up. Your parent can basically accidentally block school stuff and then the school can't undo it and also this app can monitor your emails like PRIVACY PLEASE again my school has not set this up I'm just going off of other reviews.

This app is really stupid. I can't even watch Netflix and I also can't watch my anime on Funimation or the good illegal websites. I hope this app gets deleted soon. Us weebs need our anime fix and this app prevents that so I hope it gets deleted. Soon

Ignore all the kids who are review bombing the app. They are just mad because they can't play games during class anymore 😂 The app works well and helps me make sure my kids are doing what they are supposed to.
