GoIV (IV Calculator)

Was working perfectly until Sunday's Community Day. Since then, it often stops responding out of the blue and I have to force stop and restart to get it to read again. I used to run my phone on mid-level battery saver 24/7, but stopped doing that once I found out it was keeping Adv Sync from working. Once I stopped doing that, I started having this problem, so I don't know if it's related or coincidence. I wouldn't expect this app to start malfunctioning off when the battery saver is off, tho.

It's really good, it just isn't kept up to date. A game change will break it or add something new and it's months before an update fixes it, meaning I've had to rely on other apps so much I don't use this any more :( Edit, RE reply, look forward to it :). The pokebattler export is an amazing feature and if the tool can do the rest reliably it'd be great!

Not in the way, simple to use. To close the app you must pause it from the notification dropdown or reopen the app and hit stop - for those who can't figure it out. It's a little buggy at times, but it does not clog your screen like other apps do. I've always suggested this app to others because of that. Some claim you can't paste the info into PoGo, BUT YOU CAN! Some people are also not patient with the Devs when a new poke comes out and they haven't calibrated the app to it yet.

I agree with Rov. I have tried the others and along with the button placement and a lot less touching the buttons to get your answers. I think one of my only complaints would be is, sometimes I have a tough time with something new or a legendary ti get a read but I love the app much better than the other recommendations.

Unfortunately the image recognition is not very good at the moment, even after multiple recalibrations, as I have to manually enter the HP frequently and sometimes correct the Pokemon. Sometimes it can't calculate the IV at all, even though CalcyIV could. I like that this is open source and other aspects but this is just not working reliably enough. Hopefully they'll improve things and I look forward to when this becomes my go to IV app.

This app makes IV calculation so convenient. It pulls info off your Pokemon Go screen, so you don't have to switch apps! It can be tricky with certain types of large Pokemon that kind of cover parts of the screen the the app needs to see. I usually get around this by scrolling down and scrolling back up or by rotating the Pokemon. It also does level-up/power-up calculations. It's open source, so no ads!

A truly amazing app, you don't realize how useful this is until you try appraising your Pokemon the traditional way. What I absolutely love about GoIV in particular is it's seamless integration with PoGO. The button placement for the IV preview is in the perfect position and looks almost like it's part of the game experience. Massive props must be given as well for the quick scan feature that lets you see the IV for your Pokemon without needing to interact with the app. Definitely recommend!

I've had to uninstall this app. Since the last update it will not recognise most pokemon. Auto won't work, manual calibration is either not specific enough to pick up the displays (regardless of how perfect i position the boxes) or does not work, resulting in an instant calibration reset when i press save. This app has always worked fine for me until now, but at this point its useless. Will be happy to revise this if the problem is fixed and i can return. Issues on Huawei P20 Pro, Emui 9.0.0.

Works well! Compared to PokeGenie: Pros: Faster, can export data, open source, you don't have an orange dot floating around your screen all the time, no ads. Cons: Slightly worse at image recognition, does not automatically save your data

This app is consistently the best IV option for Pokémon GO. It's a great middle ground between ease of use and customizability; you can use it right out of the box and it'll work just fine, but there's a great deal of tweaking you can do to get exactly what you want out of it. Updates are fairly quick; while they might not be immediate, it's still amazing how well-maintained this app is considering it has precisely one (1) developer. I'll stand by this app until the end of days.

Works sometimes. More often than not it tells me that there are no possible IV combinations and to check my trainer level in the app. It's correct. Recalibrate the screen overlay, the ones that worked before still work, the ones that don't still don't.

I loved this app but its no longer working on my Note 9 or S8+. I have tried recalibration many times on both phones and it use to work and fix the issue but no longer. If it is fixed it deserves at least a 4 it is an easy fast and excellent app.

Pretty nice!! There's certain scenarios where even Appraisal can't help lock down exact IVs, though, and certain scenarios where it doesn't even scan correctly (so you have to adjust the slider and/or input the info yourself).

This is my favorite IV calculator. I love that you can just swipe through without needed to press anything, very useful on community days or if you've got a lot of mons to check! I recently had a bit of trouble getting it to work with a new phone but a reinstall fixed it.

I wanted to give it a four year because it won't work for me to being level 43 but i know yall are going to update it soon and I can't wait for it and the smoothness it once had calculating ivs. I did have some problems recently where it shows ivs easily for some and struggled with others. Please fix becuase like other said this is the best. Way better than any other one especially pokie genie. I have friends say they have to pay for some futures where y'all give them for free. Can't seem to get the thing to calibrate properly. The screenshot it shows me seems to have everything lined up properly, and if I try to manually adjust it, it doesn't save. Would love to change this to 5 stars!

This app is very helpful. However, it often stops working and so it is sometimes inconvenient having to reboot (not sure if that's the proper vocabulary word I'm looking for-but you get my point).

4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 Does what you need it to, and is a minimal design (a perk imho). Remember to turn it off when you're done using it, since it's continuously reading your screen.

Simplest IV app I could find, works great. The only way it could be better is if it was opened by floating button when needed and better customized for your phone and needs for in game. Thank you for the work!

So glad this is up and running again Nice, simple app. Been using since Aug 2016 with no issues as far as content goes. Battery drain is an issue for me but I don't run this while playing so its not a deal breaker.

Great instant IV preview, allows for instant transfer or keep decision. Well coded app. I love the intelligent renaming feature. The small download size and no data usage are pluses as well.

Thank you Johan for this awesome really quick Checker ! I've used Calcy IV and tried a diff one but they are too slow and kept crashing my phone . I love how you can edit and paste calculation soon as your app automatically checks the IV . You have made my life easier haha . oh it wouldn't check the Combee pokeman but worked it out it was saying the sec evolved name 😂 but I edited it on ya app and obv put the correct name because it's not going to evolve to sec stage at all yet unto Ninatic doit

Love how simple and easy it is to use this app. Before the new appraisal system, it provided the fastest way to quickly scan pokemon for IV's which greatly helped with pokemon inventory management. and even after the new system, it's still great to use to see IV% and w/o needing to interact with the app to have IV range display. highly recommended for all non-pvp focused players.

Simple and gets the job done. Automatically brings up overlay icon when viewing Pokemon only, so you don't have to deal with a constant button overlay in the app.

I want to love this app, when it works it is amazing! But it isn't kept up to date with the main app... I'm holding my breath, keeping this one installed for now, waiting for the update. Please don't disappoint, guys! You have what could become one of the best IV apps on the store.

The best IV checker I've found. Simple to use, but full of in-depth features. The developers don't always update as fast as other checkers, but the quality of this one is worth the wait.

Used to be great, but super slow updates (new Pokemon in the game, no way to IV for months). No other app has caught by heart like this one. I'll keep it installed for nostalgia.

Light weight, quick, easy to use. Only major downside is it doesn't always update quickly, but usually isn't too behind or buggy.
