GOLD Documentation
The GOLD® Documentation is a free app created exclusively for teachers using the GOLD® assessment system. It enables teachers to easily capture documentation in the moment using their favorite mobile device. This user-friendly app is free for all GOLD® users and can save teachers valuable time in the classroom.
With the GOLD® Documentation app, teachers can
• capture photos, videos, audio clips, and text notes;
• tag documentation with objectives, dimensions, and children’s names;
• assign preliminary levels for each piece of documentation; and
• upload documentation to GOLD® online with one touch.
Assess with confidence. Use your iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® to capture photos, videos, audio clips and text notes. Tag documentation and assign preliminary levels. Use a wireless or cellular connection to send data directly to GOLD®. Then log in to the GOLD® Web site to individualize and review documentation and share information with families.
Security/ConfidentialityTo maintain security and confidentiality, all documentation captured within the app remains in the app until it’s uploaded to GOLD®. Any photos, videos, or audio files taken within the app will not mix with your personal camera roll. Files captured using the app cannot be sent anywhere other than to GOLD®. Files captured using other apps cannot be transferred into the GOLD® Documentation app.
Who Can Use This AppThis app is designed for use with the GOLD® online assessment system. Users must have a GOLD® account.
The app is for teacher use only. Family Central users will not be able to log into the app. At this time, some Team Central members may not be able to log into the app.

I am SO frustrated with this app! It gets stuck uploading observations ALL the time! It's wonderful & fast & easy when it actually works like it is supposed to, but the rest of the time it seems to just get stuck uploading & the only way I have found to fix it when it does that is to uninstall it completely and then reinstall it...but that also means losing every photo that I've taken and then I can't use those for my observations! This app really needs to be fixed!
Very Frustrating This app is extremely limited in that you cannot upload previously taken pictures or videos and you cannot rate the observations according to the objectives given. The need to take pictures/videos through the app is especially troublesome because 7/10 times it has difficulty uploading and/or crashes, causing the pictures to cease to exist. A waste of time and an exercise in futility and frustration.
I am so tired of losing pictures and videos. The videos in particular cannot be recreated and I lose important documentation often. I've deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times. I have the same issue no matter what phone I have. Rather than spending months updating the online platform, they need to fix this app!
My documents are not uploading properly. The item turns blue and has the word uploading on it. Still there when I sign out and sign in again. The documents that I had are no longer useful and were not saved in the TS system. I alternate and put the child's name and observation and still is glitchy and if I use a photo and cannot add observation and/or dimension(s) or it will become stuck on the app.
Now the App will not let me log in. My username and password are correct because I can get into TSG with no problem. I tried to get help from customer service but they kept asking for error codes and wanting me to send pictures. I figured I'd lost the documentation so I deleted the App and downloaded it again. Still getting an error message. So frustrating!!!
I too use to love this app. But documents have been getting stuck when uploading. Then there are multiple ones that has been uploaded. It is frustrating and time consuming to delete the other ones that is not needed. By reading other people's reviews, I'm glad I'm not the only one having this issue..
I love this app when it works! It gets stuck uploading videos and it wont let me scroll down to choose other videos when its stuck!! So then I end up not using the videos I worked so hard on and instead writing separate notes about what we were doing. And uploading notes instead of video and then I have to delete the whole app off my phone to start a new semester because the videos that never fully uploaded are still stuck and I cant upload an of the video at the bottom that I have to scroll to
It doesn't upload the documentation. I am frustrated because I have to do it more than once and most of the times I can only choose one objective per picture otherwise the picture stays there where it doesn't upload but I can't delete it.
The fact that I have to Uninstall and reinstall to get rid of videos and it copies them repeatedly is a shame. I have to go through and delete 23 pages of repeated and blank videos. This app desperately needs updated and not just for Apple products.
This app kept shutting down and I lost all of my documentations. Tech support was supposed to get back to me but never did. It was a waste of my time and I lost a lot of valuable documentations and videos. Now I am stressed trying to meet our agency's deadline and I have to start all over with my documentations. Also, I had to delete a lot of my pictures, messages, phone logs and apps to accomodate this app.
Totally disorganized. There's nothing even organized by date. Unable to scroll through pictures without it going back to the beginning of the roll. No tech support.
It doesn't upload all documents. It doesn't save documents on a back up just in case app is deleted accidentally. You have to start all over again with the documentation all over if something happens. This app is a help only if you upload pictures and videos right away, and sometimes you can't get to upload right away.
Files get stuck in upload often. It is not my wifi, tried multiple wifi options and still does it. I was told by TS rep that there's nothing they can do. I use an android, they say their app works better on IOS.
I have pieces of documentation stuck uploading. I am unable to open any of my other pieces. There is no option to update the app and the last time I did that all my documentation was erased. This is very frustrating!
It's frustrating that it appears you cannot choose a photo that's previously been taken on a device to upload it and that you have to take new ones. I do think the option for the microphone and video footage are helpful but I haven't tried it yet.
This app is very frustrating!!! I'm trying to upload documentation and it keeps just showing uploading on the picture, and then NEVER uploads, or it only uploads the text without pic or video....... or just a blank document with NO text and NO picture or video!!! Im losing soooo much documentation and it's really making me mad, I had this year last year too. This needs to be fixed
At first it worked great but once I started trying to upload pictures and videos it has been absolutely horrible, waste of time that will cause me more work. It's been uploading the same documents for 2 weeks now. Deleting and going back to what I was using previously.
I have been using this app for a month and it worked great for about three days. Now, its freezing during the uploading process. I don't know if the documents have posted or not I hate to do all that work to document, then it just disappear and not post. Its slowing my phone down.
Documentation frequently gets stuck "uploading" (I have 15 stuck right now). Makes it difficult to scroll down to other documentation as it keeps automatically scrolling up to the ones that are "uploading". Also then uploads duplicates of the documentation online. Wish there was a way to delete the documentation that gets stuck uploading or at least cancel upload.
It's a good way to complete documentation but doesn't always work. I had to Uninstall because 3 of my pics were stuck in upload and I couldn't scroll down to other pics because of this! It kept bouncing back to the top before I could even select another pic for documentation...
Great for capturing documentation but it will freeze during uploading. I have to uninstall to get rid of documentation that is frozen in upload status. I have now learned to upload all documentation before uninstalling because you will lose everything. The frozen uploads go into TSG multiple times. Very annoying.
App is OK when it doesn't throw you any surprises! I just went in to upload some of my files but it wouldn't allow me to select students, it said 0 in class. It did allow me to add notes. You can't upload without names. Due Friday! I guess I'll have to start over and write everything out. Support doesn't open until Monday.
Pictures will either stay in "uploading" or upload multiple times. And the app doesn't sync across devices. It's more frustrating than helpful.
Terrible app, when I upload videos and pictures they upload multiple times to my Gold account. Most recently I lost all my documentation that I hadn't yet uoaded because if I am not on wifi it doesn't upload correctly. Such a mess so much good documentation lost and time wasted
This app keeps crashing and losing all the pictures notes and videos. This is very time consuming and extra work.
I've been able to upload documentation, which is great, but I wish the app did more. I wish it gave me access to all documentation that I've already uploaded. All I can do is upload it then log in on a computer to see all of my uploaded notes.
I usually love this app., but here lately it just gives me an error code when trying to log in. I checked for updates, Uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still isn't working.
Cannot add objective and progression. That feature doesn't work no matter how many times I install and uninstall.
The app used to work so well, but for some reason now if an image, note, or video gets stuck when uploading one picture appears multiple times instead of uploading all of them. I have lost so many pictures, which is making it harder to collect documentation for each student.
