This just measures magnetic fields in micro Tesla. The metal would need to somehow effect the surrounding magnetic fields to even cause deflection. This app is more likely to pick up interference than metal and is nothing more than a magnet detector. Edit:details right there ^^^^

First off, I don't see any instructions on how to use it. Then there are adds popping up every so many seconds its impossible to even read the screen! Im wearing sterling rings and it didnt pick up a damn thing. This app IS worthless.

How would a magnetic sensor detect gold or silver? And while it seems to detect metal ok, it needs to be very close to the sensor, almost touching the phone. Couldn't detect aluminum either, another nonmagnetic metal.

Garbage. Only picks up ferrous metals. A stud finder app is more accurate than this garbage. I'd rate -0 stars if I could. There's 5 minutes of my life I won't get back 😂
