Good app experience. Nothing too fancy though. Update: Thank goodness the app is fixed! After not being able to open it for several months due to a bug I'm back in business. The website and app are both slow to load, every feature feels like it was provided by a different company or something. It's really strange. I'm marking this as Just OK at best.

My experience has been good and bad. It is a convenient application, but it seems every update makes it worse. The ability to see available credit was taken away by an update. The bill payment feature went from simple to very confusing. The time out is annoying, sometimes i need to switch to another app for information and by the time I return I am forced to reauthenticate. Reading about issues with Samsungs new phone is delaying me from upgrading. App could definitely use improvements.

App was just updated. It won't remember fingerprints or face ID so you are forced to sign in by your full password every time. It also crashes frequently meaning just to check your account or make a deposit you will need to sign in multiple times. This app and how poorly they set up their website are 95% of the reason I am looking for a new bank. Update: I did what they said to try and fix it still has all the same issues and now you can't mobile deposit. Absolute garbage.

Golden1 is the second worst credit union after Altura (altura doesn't even have a partnership program with other unions so that's the bar here). And the app is terrible. Constantly fails for unexplained reasons. Things like "no network connection" or "app not responding" and it's the only app on my phone doing this. Online banking is better but doesn't fix the overdraft fees and things that golden 1 tries to randomly pull. Also closed my checking account while I was hospitalized. JS.

Mobile deposit works better with handwritten personal checks than computer generated business checks! I can figure out what to do when a personal check doesn't work (write in 0s) but no idea about the business check. And I am not going into a branch to cash a check for 6 bucks and change. Auto capture for mobile deposit is internally conflicted. It both instructs me to make sure all 4 corners are visible and to keep moving closer. Really, you can have one or the other, not both.

1 year out and this app still does not work for my phone, i have to clear cache and change debug mode to even log in once then it does not log in again after that. A modern credit union needs a functioning phone app and this just aint it. Very disappointing Shouldn't have to clear the cache every time I want to use this app! Whatever has changed recently isn't working... Typically a reliable app

I use this app really only for one thing. Checking my credit card balance. I use other CU's for everything else. You should compare Schools First FCU to your app to see where you are lacking i.e. showing credit card balances accurately, total Credit limit, your adjusted credit limit, routing and accounting numbers, ect. I guess making sure people can log in is #1, luckily I can. But you took away features not added them, so basic functions found in almost all financial apps are not there.

I've been with golden one for over 17 years and this app has caused me to look at other financial institutions. Ever since they upgraded/migrated nothing seems to work. This app is broken! The sad part is that even Golden 1 knows acknowledges the issues but can't seem to fix it. Attempting to login never works on the app, open my phones browser (chrome) and put my credentials in, works no issue... This app has even locked out my wifes account and my account several times forcing us to call.

Everytime I open the app I get "Attention you do not have network connectivity. Please check your connection and try again." Internet is working. Tried using data, but same error. Cleared cache and data, re-installed, restarted phone...none of it worked, rendering the app totally useless.

Horrible. the update dropped the pin log-in. It was consistently glitchy and slow to load. It sent me to three log-in loops requiring a phone verification to the WRONG phone number. It hung multiple times. I can go on, but why? I'm considering changing credit unions because of this app.

Not sure if it is my phone or the app but the past week or two, the app opens and 'sits' on a white screen for a minute or two and then minimizes the screen. When I maximize the screen, it is just a white screen and after a minute or two..... I hope these are just deployment bugs but the 'new' app seems to regularly have performance issues. Update: It has been two months. I understand SDLC takes some time but how long is the update going to take so the app can actually be used?

Same as a lot of other people. Upgraded to a Samsung S22 Ultra and transferred everything over. All apps worked except this one. I thought it might have gotten corrupted during the transfer so I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, but it didn't work. When opening the app I get a white screen with a little G1 logo in the middle and nothing else. This app is how I make my car payment so it's kinda important to have it working.

I recently upgraded to the s22 and the golden 1 app isn't loading at all, it just has the "g" symbol in the middle of the screen. I've deleted the app 3 times in hopes it'd work because it has in the past but it's not working and I've updated the app to the most recent version there is for it. It's a great and easy app when it works so I'll give it that.

When is golden 1 going to fix the apps issues???? I have not been able to use the app for a year now. Whatever changes they made on the app didn't help it at all, just made it worst because I can't even reach the log on screen. Opening up the app just bring me a white pop up saying something about USB debug. It's really frustrating that this has been going on for a while.

After upgrading phone to the S22 Ultra, the app doesn't even open. Tried uninstalling and updating but nothing happens. I will see the G1 symbol in the center of my screen and it just stays there. At this point, just like everyone else, I am considering switching bank. This is so unacceptable to have an app that doesn't work correctly with new devices.

I can't deposit checks in my app with my S10. No option for it. I spoked to multiple customer service with same advice to uninstall and reinstall it but never worked. Last representative told me to wait 2 weeks as this issue will be forwarded to their technical team. It's been more than a month now. So frustrating.

My app was working great then all of a sudden it won't let me go onto it as of yesterday. I'm so confused. It was great for transferring and seeing what I had in my account but now I can't see anything,it won't even open. I don't understand. Update:5/18/2022 So thank you for your advice Golden 1. I did the steps and it now works. So very happy with this app.

Have tried to use the external transfer feature, and the account verification login part doesn't work. I've put in the account information for the account I want to transfer money to right, but every time it says it can't verify even though I know I put the info in right because I just did it a second ago to grab my routing and account number

Just updated on a s10+ and now it keeps saying no network connection on full bars and 4g coverage. Card control app is working and getting connection. So are my other apps and Chrome is pulling up results for searches. What's up dev team.

I just got a Galaxy S22 ultra and the app not open. After reading Reading another person's review I'm having the same issue it's just a white screen with a small logo in the center I fully uninstalled and reinstalled it. I hope this is fixed quickly Update, TY FOR updating the app. I felt lost without it... Lol

I successfully opened the app today. I tested the fingerprint log-in and it worked. I have not tried other features, but will soon. I am disappointed I was not notified the original bug had been fixed.

Upgraded to S22 with hopes that the bugs would be fixed by March but they aren't. Still can't use the app on my phone 😞 *Updated Apr 11th. This app now works on my S22!! Thank you Golden1 for fixing the bug. Glad I went and updated my app. 🎉

The old app worked perfectly, and I never had a single issue with it in all the years that I'd used it. For some reason, Golden 1 thought it would be a good idea to reinvent the wheel... but sadly, this wheel is not round. New app constantly gets stuck on a white screen. I have to force close it and try again. Sometimes it makes it to the logo screen, then gets stuck there. I'd say maybe 1 in 5 tries actually allow me to log in successfully, and only after an unnecessarily long amount of time!

The app is really buggy. When it was first rolled out a few weeks ago, I couldn't login to my accounts (in the app or online). After a bit, I was able to use the app, no issues. A few days ago, I hit the icon on my phone, then got an error message along the lines that the app wasn't installed. Today I tried again, and it works perfectly. So, it seems an app update uninstalled the bank app, then reinstalled it (I didn't uninstall/reinstall because I got busy and forgot). I really like the updated function and look, but the bugginess is a real concern. I have a Pixel 4a on Android 12.

The app is great a real time saver, but since they updated. It no longer shows the total balance due for my credit card. This means I have to download the statement and then remember the amount if I want to simply pay the total balance due amount down. It should show both the minimum due and the monthly balance amount. It would make life just that little bit easier.
