Golden Axe Classics

So glad that Sega has transferred its best classics onto mobile - the Golden Axe games were fantastic when they came out on the Sega Megadrive over 30 years ago & its so heartening to find that the trilogy issued on Smartphones are as faithful as one could hope for. With all three available in the same game, it's perfect for old-school gamers like myself who got such fun playing the originals. The experience is not the same as playing on console but comes as close as one could ask.

After purchasing ad free, uninstalling, and reinstalling after a while, there is no way of restoring purchases. all of the remove ad buttons don't work. The games say ad free, but none of the ad free features work. When I start the game, I get an ad, when I try to save, it tells me I need to watch an ad. Loved the game trilogy, disappointed with the app.

Really love it, just wish there was an easier way to control the character's movement... Maybe if it was a little bigger.

Maaaaan!! This is one of many favorite arcade games I used to play for hours at a neighborhood corner store where I lived just a half a block away from where I lived and I would be there first thing in the morning I would spend a few hours then again around noonish l would be there and finally in the evening all the way until closing time a now I have really missed the good old days back when arcade games were the best damn thing us kids could do for fun all day growing up in the 80 era !!!

It's a classic a great one at that, remember the good old days where I'd be around 5 years old playing this on the megadrive, you've done a great job of bringing it back. Although I will admit the controls are terrible especially for people with bigger hands, if you could rescale them manually I wouldn't have a problem at all.

Difficult to control - there's no option to enlarge or move buttons. Besides that, still a great game.

Terrible. Wanted to try before getting ad free. The close ad option doesn't work so can't even play.

Now I'm not saying that the game bad or that the game is good I'm saying it's middle. It's ok but the game just doesn't have good controls the controls are not good at all. It's a 3 for me😑😑

Save slot doesnot work and it hangs after sometime. But it is amazing game. And rewind button also doesnot work.

Gday. Great game. However, for the special move where you push buttons A and B together, it's very hard to do on a mobile phone or tablet. You need to create another separate button to do the special move using just one button as its impossible to do as I said before.. If you fix this, game would be perfect..

Ads are intrusive. I would just pay to disable them but there are other problems as well. The game sees my 8bitdo bluetooth controller but not all the buttons, nor the d pad or analog sticks. I couldn't move or map the start button to the physical start l button. If these issues get resolved I would consider buying but not in it's current state.

Full screen ad is popping just before you can actually play. I watched the entire thing and yet can't play the game - because there is no 'X' on the screen. Just staring the end card of the ad without the ability to play.

Awesome game! However, I have noticed more adds. They come in the middle of gameplay, sometimes one after the other. It became real annoying real fast. I usually lose connection after the adds as well. If it weren't for this, I would give the app 5 stars! But as it is...

Saving function doesn't work, every time you wanna save it you have to watch an ad but the ads dont work so it won't save. The controls are exactly like the original which is good, except its touch screen so you have no idea if your pressing it, making the game much harder.

This retro beat-'em-up has been available in the Play Store for awhile now - but has now been turned into Golden Axe Classics; this is notable because it now includes all 3 original titles in the series, including (of course) Golden Axe 3. I downloaded this immediately - specifically because it also includes this third, rare title... Golden Axe 3 has a unique, pastel-like look to it, and a greatly improved move set and more balanced gameplay compared to the previous two titles. 5 stars! 👍😃

The best fighting game on the Genesis and it works perfectly on my Android 7 tablet! No crashes or anything. All three games each of which have things to love about them are here. Only problem with it is that movement control takes some getting used to.

Good app. Loved this game as a kid. Controls are a bit laggy and wonky but fun as ever overall!

Make a real port of the game with intuitive touch controls. This is just a rom wrapped in an emulator which we can already do ourselves and achieve a better gaming experience using an emu and the rom. Take the time to create a real port. Lazy.

absolutely love it just like I remember, they need to make more classic bundles just like it. e.g. streets of rage(1,2,And 3). That would be mind blowing. all the other classics are single game apps. They should all be like this. why don't they bundle them all up like that. please provide feedback, thank you.

It's very hard to play with these controls and I found myself constantly falling off the map trying to work the poor analog stick. It's not unplayable like ESWAT, but it sure doesn't help that the controls on a phone game are awful for a phone.

You just TOTALLY destroyed these (prior) fantastic games... Perhaps add MORE adverbs? Or you think these pieces of #$$#* are big enough? Deinstalled BEFORE I choose to player, because ACCIDENTALLY clicked twice time "x" button after 30 secunds adverb, so...the game has been running demo, and one option was to see another 30 s. adverb. This is good example how to NOT MADE a game.
