Really enjoyed the game until... Like many of these games, you reach a point of having to pay to progress. This game gave me many hours of enjoyment. But sadly, even after shooting -6 under par for 9 holes and tying for 2nd place in the tournament, my prize was 2 bronze tees (the lowest of the tee upgrades). It was fun while it lasted, about 2 months. It's just not rewarding anymore.
Not fun. You level up just to get beat by the same 3 or 4 people in every contest who play absolutely perfect in every one you enter. 2nd if you dont buy all the best equipment you will never stand a chance in the later levels. Fun game for a week or 2 but after that its trash. You will rarely win a gold contest after level 30 unless you pay for every upgrade and play perfect on every hole. I suppose if you just stick to the campaign mode or play head to head against real people its not terrible
Okay to pass time, just don't expect any degree of precision or consistently repeatable metrics in game. I guess it's to be expected for a cell phone game but very inconsistent. Same shots taken in the same conditions could have totally different outcomes, for instance you use 7 iron it easily clears past the green, next time playing the same hole, same wind and club it comes up wayy short of the green (both shots at 100% power). Again fine to pass time but realism is sketch at best.
The game over all is pretty good. I really have grown to like the controls, but there are two major downfalls. The first and worse is that there are way too many ads!!! They weren't bad at first, but seems like they multiplied and now they pop up almost every round. The second downfall is that putting is definitely lacking... it needs just a small guide to show the direction and better definition of the green. I would keep playing but to many ads...and that is the reason I am quitting it.
I'm new to golf so I have no idea if this game is accurate or realistic. But I can tell you this, it is fun and addictive! And with practice you get better. I've won 1st in the daily 9 challenge now 5 days in a row! One thing I'd like to see is some sort of elevation meter for the green. You can guestimate on the wind but elevation makes the yellow distance meter pretty much useless. Other than that maby some more clothes selection and messaging with friends. Overall it's fun and I'm hooked ⛳👍
Closest thing to actually playing golf for real I suppose. I really like this game a great great deal. From the whole lineup of a shot all the way down to the celebration on the green..."you' are totally immersed in the game. The ability to pick and and then hit your shot AND control it. This game is LEGIT...but it is also...(don't chuckle...I'm serious)...highly....HIGHLY addictive. The controls and the graphics...plus the potential for pulling off a shot that would make Tiger jealous...
It takes a lot to keep my interest over a week but I like it some courses are challenging there's a lot of stuff that they want cash for but you can earn as you go it just takes a lot longer because you have to choose between apparel which needs taste added and a better variety for the price and a lower price because anything worth buying is stupid expensive even add new faces for a choice because there choices are 90's looking.
Awesome game. Skill needed not like the other ones that are too easy. No need too buy anything, unless you want too as there are heaps of freebies daily. Yes u have to watch an ad occasionally but not like other games I played. Highly recommend this and also you can find people and play against them which makes it enjoyable also. Great golf game.
It's fun but it could be a lot better if you could actually see what the terrain around the green looked like. ball landing indicator seems to include roll which isn't helpful at all. I'm not sure how strongly I can recommend this game Update: I've reduced to 1 star now because ads have become intrusive commercials updates: ads require 3 taps to close and suspiciously easy to miss the mark and click through. This company should be reported to Google and pulled from Play store
This game is fun by being so challenging. It is very hard to physically aim your swing so your ball goes where you want it to. Plus, the graphics are very good for a mobile game. Challenging n fun. Frustrating at times but what golf game in real life isn't frustrating? Sometimes I just feel like Happy Gilmore n wanna yell at the ball "THAT'S YOUR HOME, BALL! DON'T YOU WANNA GO TO YOUR HOME?!!!"
A few weeks ago, I tried out the top 4 mobile golf games on the play store. This one is legitimately the best. The most skill needed, the most play modes, the most fun by far. Believe the hype. If you've got time to kill and you wanna play a golf game, this is the best choice.
This game is Really fun! You can play 9 holes rather than only 1 to 3 like almost every other game. You can also play on your own without waiting for another player to take their shot, which is Great. There is head to head play, the graphics are very good. Fun game!
I've now come to a point where it is definitely pay to win now. Level 30 and whenever I enter a tournament no matter what score I have there are always 5 to 6 players 2 or 3 shots better off. Totally unreasonable. Just played an 18 hole tournament and the winner scored -29. IMPOSSIBLE. what a load of garbage.
I've been playing this game for a long time and I like the way they add new courses. I have to get new phone to often. This game keeps being able to still upgrade and etc... Never gets boring. Even when I was younger I played this in a big video game in our bar. Loved it then,still love it now. Thank you for making me fun ☺️.
What's not to love GTG is legendary and this plays just as good as any PC or pub machine ... Totally hooked (pun of the day) yet again , played this game for years and now it's back in my life. Doesn't seem to pushy about paying to upgrade and you can play and upgrade at a regular pace ... Great game
I've been playing for about 1 month and have little gold but lots of coins and the only thing you can buy with coins is apparel upgrades : ((( Unless you buy $$$ more gold you can't improve you clubs or golf skills. .. BE MORE generous with gold or I'll have to UNINSTALL.
Love it! Very fun to play. I like it most because it is just a standard flick up motion to hit the ball. You don't have to time it perfectly in the center of a meter like others. Putting is also easy! So basically you just have to fight wind & hazards. 1 thing I do not like: The apparel! I hate how you only get so many options... then you have to wait so many days for it to shuffle a new group of options. Just give us all options w/prices to chose from!
This is one of the most challenging golf games I've played, n have played almost all of them. Graphics are good. Most golf games have a dial you have to hit for the power or angle. This gives you no time limit for setting up your shot n the amount of power you desire. I didn't download it for a long time, because I thought it was like the rest with all the crazy attire you can dress up in. If they made the greens a little more challenging like a grid, I'd give it a 5 🌟
Great game!! Only wish the winds were consistent from course to course. 10 mph on one course should act the same on the next one. Shouldn't have to memorize every course. As in this one plays longer and this one plays shorter with the same wind at your back.
I would give it 5 stars, but the amount of ads makes it a four. I would happily pay to make these ads disappear. The game is definitely good enough to pay for, and I would be happy to pay to stop the ads sometimes multiple in a row.
Horrible money sucker. Too many times a swipe does nothing, identical putts move different directions, given most difficult course when short on funds, wind, up/downhill mystery etc to be random (not going to waste my time collecting the data to demonstrate). Spoils the fun. Plenty of other golf games. Also there are what I would call gravity wells, your ball will almost always end up in one. Hmm, pin is just barely beyond reach again? No, not going consider the SALE!
Great game. Almost all apps have ads, but they dont over do it here.. The only problem I see with this game is 1 particular hole. Says par 4 which it is, but the only way that you can get a birdie on this hole is to knock it in from 60 yards or so.. besides that hole, 5 star game😎👍
Wanted to like the game but the physics is rigged against the player. They just want you to pay money for better clubs. Shots are completely inconsistent. A club that is supposed to hit a ball 200 yards will hit the ball 230 yards and put you in the water. Next time it will hit it 180 and put you in the water. Slopes of the greens inconsistently affect your putts. Wind is totally screwy. But the end result is to make you miss and try to get you to spend money. Deleting it.
It has done it again. the greatest golf game ever made has made a fantastic transition to the mobile platform. I honestly can't think of any complaints, except the disconnect of Facebook login. My boo lost access to his old account and had to start over so we can't play for gold anymore until he levels up.
So this is actually a fun golf game that includes a lot of content as free to play. The swipe swing control works pretty well too and is more fun than typical timing based clicks.
I do like the app. Seems pretty realistic and there are very good tutorials to help you learn. There are contests, including a daily 9 hole contest that I have been doing pretty well at. Two 1st's and a 2nd in my last three matches, and about to get another 1st. You can play at different levels as you improve and of course, buy better clubs, tees and balls, which really help. Ads aren't too intrusive either, but like all games, they're there...
