Golf Channel Mobile

Absolutely, positively hate the new design. The old version was tons better and so much easier to navigate. Hard to find scores across the different tours. It pulls up old and future tournaments and you have to select the tour (LPGA, Champions, etc) to try to find what you looking for. Also, when you update an app, don't erase the user's settings. All the golfers I follow (as favorites) are all gone. Horrible job, guys. Major, major fail.

I don't like the changes made in May of 2019 to the scores section. If you click on one player to see his score, up pops the score from the first round, even though they may playing the final round. It does not show the player's score for each completed round. You have to open each round and add the two nines together to know what the player shot. The old scoring display was more informative and user friendly.

The app crashes a lot. Even when it is not open or in use, an error message notifies you that the app has crashed. Live streams seem to be hit or miss. Sometimes the ads play very quickly and the live stream never starts. But when the live stream does work the app will need to be closed and reopened periodically to keep everything working.

Golf Channel app. Surely a prime example of developer clowns let loose with no management. The app has been turned on it's head, and is useless. Rewind a year or two, This was one of the best performing golf apps you could find. Now? It takes 3 or 4 attempts to even get it to load. It's just golf scores and news. It always will be. Your fanciful ideas have simply rendered the app useless?! Stop fixing things that do not need fixing.

Wow, I didn't have the app until now and im uninstalling it immediately. Literally all I wanted to do was watch some golf and it can't do that. Pressing on your cable provider does nothing, doesn't allow you to select any of them. Trying to choose from a list of provides only a blank, white page. For an app that's built around Golf CHANNEL, you'd think streaming actual golf would be the priority. Unfortunately, it appears to be the opposite.

Very disapppointed with revisions to this App. it's colourless and requires more scrolling. It goes straight into a main tournament scores without giving you an option. In that tournament you can't search for players and have to scroll. Have to use menu bar to go to videos etc. Also freezes when you opt to go back a step. Do not like this at all.

I tap the Play button to watch a live stream, and I get a message box with the text "Player Error N/A" No clue as to what the error is or how to correct it. (The Play feature seems to work fine for highlights, replays, and maybe other choices.) Please add descriptive info or provide other type of help for users. I just can't tell what's preventing me from watching what's "On Now." Thanks.

The Golf Channel app writers obviously didn't get the memo. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". The new and improved version is a fail, plus, have you seen how much cache it uses. Slow to load, back button doesn't work, stories and articles don't fully download...c'mon writers...new memo, "It's broke, fix it".

Wow, looks like most people feel the same as I do about the new app - Here's the email I wrote them - It used to be user friendly, easy to read, and nicely designed- now it's none of those. Seems like you've taken 3 steps backwards from where you were previously. Would have recommended it previously, now I most likely will be uninstalling it. BTW - it crashes a lot as well. Very disappointed as I love The Golf Channel.

Latest Android update ruined this app. No more favorite players. And individual scorecards are terrible. Why should I have to look at the par for each hole and what the player scored - back and forth, back and forth, to see where the player made birdies and bogies. Circles for birdies, squares for bogies - that's the way it has always been and always should be. Ipad version still OK.

It's a pretty good app but one thing is upsetting. When I scroll thru the articles and click on one to read, it goes on for a few quick paragraphs and stops in mid sentence? There's no way to read thru the entire articles?

This new program is too complex and not useful to me! It is too unwieldy. Its intrusive ad "pop ups also lessen the experience. If there is an easy way to re-list my favorites, I have not found it yet. Bring back the old format!

OMG! Took z perfectly decent app and destroyed it. Using Samsung tablet (new) the app takes at least 30 seconds to load and doesn't close at all. I have to hit the windows button and the close window or setup, apps, force stop to close it. I'm going to uninstall it and then maybe reinstall in a month to see if it's fixed.

This is the only app I have that comes up with a window telling me I have a slow connection. Right. I'm on 1gb fiber. It's the app that's slow. Also, quite often the scoring updates are not close to current. Looking for a better app to keep up on tournament scoring, which is the only reason I use it.

I can not for the life of me understand why anyone would want to release an app that seldom works! Attempt to watch a clip sit through 5 - 10 ads then app crashes 100 % of the time. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

WORTHLESS! To use it you need a separate subscription to the golf channel. That's fine, and I'm willing to pay for it... BUT... You MUST go through your cable or satellite tv company to get it. If you don't have either, or if your carrier doesn't offer the Golf Channel there is NO WAY to subscribe independently! Asinine! COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME TO DOWNLOAD!

This app just non-stop tells me that "golf channel crashed" even when it's not open or running in the background. The very annoying thing is that it's an alert screen so it interrupts me using other apps. I had to delete it so I wouldn't get the messages anymore. Very poor experience.

The contant is good, but the drag on resources and constant crashes is annoying to the point of it uninstalling. I would usually think this was a hardware issue, but I have the same issue on three phones. There is no way the Note 9 or Moto G6+ are running out of resources running three apps.

this app was recently updated and I'm so disappointed in the changes that have been made. the option to save your favorite players on each tour is no longer available. there's also no longer a search engine for individual players you have to scroll down to find where your favorites are I don't suppose they asked any golf fans their opinion before they went and changed everything. they should show you what the changes are before you agree to update the app

I haven't been able to watch The Open Championship for the last 3 days, it just crashes out. Pretty unacceptable. Also the video, when it works, doesn't maintain an aspect ratio, it skews and stretches. It's almost a good app.

Uninstalled because you need cable to watch golf. No thanks...ill just watch something else. Was looking for an app more similar to the CW. An add driven way to watch tv without cable. Golf seems to be leaning heavy on older people who still use cable and will really have trouble getting a younger crowd into the sport without streaming services.

This app is unusable. Don't download it unless you simply want the scores. I subscribed to the golftv and you can't even make it full screen or cast. Now I can't even find where to unsubscribe and can't find a contact to get a refund because its all in the US. I'm in the UK. Terrible application. You should be embarrassed.

Streaming is never the correct aspect ratio across a host of tablets, and contantly crashes with 'playback mulligans', just after their ads finish of course. The app is quite literally useless as it fails to fulfill the sole purpose of it's existence, to watch golf (you had ONE job!). Get it together and fire your UX\UI teams because this app is a whole bunch of great content ruined by an entirely incompetent user interface and experience.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS AD FILLED APP. This app is absolute garbage. Cool, I can stream the PGA tour in good quality. But apparently only for about 20 seconds at a time, and then am forced to watch 7 commercials?? Are you kidding me? I watched 20 seconds, watched 6 commercials, then watch 20 more seconds and then 7 commercials. What's the point in signing in with a cable provider, if you won't even allow someone to watch the damn program?

The app is a good starting point. The app is easy to navigate to & fro. I missed not having ability to search for articles on a topic. The coolest feature of the app is being able to watch LIVE real time golf.
