Could be great, if it kept running. I like everything about it. The writing, the art, the gameplay. But it randomly refuses to open, or freezes on me. Often after Ive completed a level, but apparently before that completion is registered so I have to go through it again. Im running a Samsung Fold 2 with Android 12, plenty of storage and RAM. I'll be uninstalling this until a new version is released.
Fun game, you do damage by connecting 3 (or more) symbols. It's not ground breaking, but out of all the match games I like this one the most. The art is adorable! My only complaint is it crashes. At first it was just once and a while, today I haven't been able to open the game it just crashes after loading. I hope they can fix it so I can play a little more.
Firstly, everyone complaining that the game is too hard and you get one shot very clearly didn't level health. It exists for a reason, and you shouldn't ignore it. I didn't notice there were in app purchases in this game, that is how unnecessary they are. I have 3 starred every level. The story is amazing and funny. The only ads are if you want to revive your character once per fight for free. Highly recommended this game. When does number 2 come out?
Good game, basic puzzle elements mixed with an RPG. I got through the first 4 levels before the game kept crashing on me and was forced to uninstall. While the screen was loading I tapped on it and it immediately kicked me out. When I went to reopen the app the loading screen was just black. Could be something on my end, could not. Either way might be something to look into for the devs.
After playing the game all the way through, I'm dropping the score by 1 star. Many levels are repetitive, the achievements are broken, often times failing to pop after meeting the criteria several times, and even with the comedic charm and general enjoyability of the game itself, there's no real reason to keep playing after you beat it, especially with the aforementioned achievement bug.
A bit too repetitive for my taste, but being bribed in game (i.e. given game currency) to leave a review is a first, so here you go :D A big plus is absolutely no ads, and game is quite generous towards you (at least for the first 20 levels I've played). Art and jokes are also more entertaining than annoying. The only downside: for a puzzle game it's a bit on a simple side and kinda boring. Not sure I want to find out what's the deal with the dragon, stolen gem, princess and perpetual amnesia.
A lot of fun. Too many ads. Ads are optional but necessary unless you are willing to pay. The game has frozen more than a dozen times when I chose to watch the ads for doubling the gold. I am at level 124 and the creature that dwells within has about seven times the hit points of any single creature thus far. There is a trick to get more coins to buy power-ups. I recommend the game and I did support the game a little bit. Oh, yeah. Mostly the monsters come out at night - mostly...
So I spent ages getting to the end of the game and getting my gear upgraded to the point where I could beat the dragon, and then in the last level there's a glitch that doesn't let you finish the game. After two moves the squares go opaque and you can't make any more moves meaning you can't finish the level. There are also some glitches in the "collect x number of y" missions where you kill the monster and then get stuck. But not being able to finish the game is incredibly unsatisfying.
About an hour in, and it's enjoyable. No pesky ads popping up, no "action points" needed to progress or redo old levels. So far, it is extremely easy, but it's still a nice casual, relaxing, punny fantasy romp. No major complaints, here! It's cute and fun, and doesn't contain annoyances like many "free" games, so I'm happy with it. Give it a try, if you're looking for a simple, relaxing match-3 RPG.
The game is an ok time waster. I'm annoyed because each time i choose to view an ad in order to unlock some achievement or continue the game after my knight died, i can NEVER find the close button on the ad; i just get stuck in a loop. I have to close the game and reopen it, just to find that the achievement or the game continuance isn't there. I'll probably keep trying to beat the level I'm on for a day or two and then just uninstall the app.
Gameplay could be a lot of fun, if it wasn't for the horde of ads you have to watch in order to progress. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I remember a time when games rewarded a skillful player rather than one willing to sit through garbage ads at the end of each level. The game is really easy at first but it doesn't take long before one hit kills you and you have to watch an ad to revive. And you die at the end of most levels. Or spend gold to revive, now you can't afford upgrades. Uninstalld
Pretty tight little concept. Some strategy but not too deep. One thing I can't figure out is how you get three stars for a given level. I've taken many turns, tons of damage and almost died achieving 3 stars. On other levels I've almost one shotted all enemies and took no damage only to get two stars. Artwork, sound, and design are all top notch for what this is. Enjoy!
This game is great, fun, exciting mechanic and addicting. However, at a certain point in the game, you realize that you either have to pray that they've given you a good set of matches, or pay for powerups. It doesn't matter how good of a combo you get when the enemies can kill you in two hits, and the shields and hearts don't generate together frequently enough. If you're gonna make it that difficult AND make it rely so heavily on luck of the draw, you should add more than two ways to survive.
An entertaining game. The story is funny and the gameplay is enjoyable. Bonus points for not limiting game time with energy or hearts or whatever. I deducted a star because of the quality of writing. I get that this is a light-hearted, funny game, but proper punctuation and grammar is also important. It breaks the immersion and it is annoying in the long run, especially since it would be easy to fix.
Probably one of the best match games I've played. I've been having a blast, though the difficult seems pretty unbalanced towards the last third of the game. For the love of God please add a restart button. Having to exit a level just to open and go through the prompts again is probably the most annoying thing I've subjected myself to in a long time.
Good "Match 3" variant game with minor RPG elements to it. I got to level 95 before giving up. Ads are all optional which is great, but the game needs a certain amount of luck at times. Fighting 2 enemies at once is almost always luck based as you rarely get a decent chance to defend or heal yourself. Good audio, simple story and jokes, a pleasant experience overall.
Clean, easy-to-use interface, seamless tutorial that puts you straight into the game right away and humorous dialogue to keep the kill, rinse, repeat formula entertaining. It is a very straightforward match game, but its simplicity is perfect for the casual or multi-tasking gamer. The only reason it loses out on the fifth star is that I can put it down and go without the urge to play. A great itch-scratcher, though!
Changing my review back to 5 stars, less than 3 hours after dropping it to 2 stars because it kept crashing 5 seconds after opening... for days. I'm not sure if they somehow fixed it quickly without an update or if it's just coincidence, but as promised, I changed my rating back to its original 5 stars. It's humorous and fun as hell. I'm happy it's working again!
