Good News Network

Absolutely love this app! Offering a refreshing daily dose of good news to balance the negativity on most news platforms. I just wish that when I add an article to my favorites list that it wouldn't disappear randomly. It's also annoying that after reading an article it automatically refreshes and puts you to the top of the page, losing the point you were at while scrolling. Tips for improvement. But great app otherwise.

The content is great, but the app is buggy to the point of being unusable (with no response on customer service email), which is weird for an app that's basically a web browser wrapper. Pity. Edit: Following the developer's response, I tried again. Got notifications for stories, clicked one, read it, closed the app, clicked on the next notification, but it just removed the notification without reopening the app. Didn't test further.

I love the articles and how uplifting they are, but it shouldn't take anywhere near as long as it does for things to load. It takes a good 20 seconds for the app to even load, then the articles take another 10+sec to fully load. This makes it very hard to actually look at the articles and makes it very frustrating to do so.

I had to go "cold turkey" on all newsfeeds (tv, radio, internet, paper) a week before Christmas because the constant onslaught of what was being presented as newsworthy was just too negative, and negatively presented to be healthy. A month or two after that I discovered the Good News Network. What a difference it has made in my outlook on everything. It has reaffirms, every day,, my belief that the world is a good place filled with wonderful, caring, inovative, and generous people.

I actually liked this app but as of two days ago it suddenly stopped working. Have rebooted my phone, Uninstaller and reinstalled the app but can no longer read any stories. Shame but the app hasn't been updated in over a year so probably just not keeping up with Android updates.

I really enjoy this app, I use it to relax and read something which doesn't lead to endless scrolling. The content is often interesting and I like the "good news in history" articles, as they often introduce me to new events from history.

Update to my previous review: the developers were very responsive to my email about the feature that was not working and it is now up and running as intended. This is a great app! Wonderful way to boost your mood during stressful times.

I love the news I was getting on this app, but just recently I couldn't get the stories to open when I clicked in them. So I reached out the company, and they responded quickly and had the issue resolved in a day. Great app and amazing customer service!

Heart-warming persobal stories have their place, but i was hoping for something that was balanced out with hopeful, positive news of greater consequence. This app gets you the equivalent of spending your time wandering through cutesy feel-good youtube videos.

Excellent!! I enjoy reading and learning new ideas!! When there was a problem with loading and display it was fixed within two days!!! Shows dedication and expertise!! I love it!!!

Great premise but markedly poor app. Very slow loading. Very poor reading experience (only the pictures load but not the text). As a software engineer myself, I strongly recommend you invest a bit more money in quality development of the app.

Used to really enjoy the positive spin on the news that this app gave me. But when they went to ad support they lost me. The ads are invasive to say the least, you can't get them off your screen and you can't read the articles easily anymore. I'm tired of being harassed by people while I'm trying to read. Until apps find a way to get rid of this b******* I'm going to be reading a lot less on my phone. So much for good news.

Crashing constantly. I wish I could read the content, it's positive and necessary in this negative world. But it crashes every 3 minutes... unusable app!

I'm giving it 2 stars because it's a great idea, but I agree with others regarding the obvious left-leaning selection of news items. I deleted other news apps precisely because I'm trying to avoid the constant politicization of everything. I don't want to see stories about "cures" for global warming. The idea of man-made global warming is a perfect example of the politicization of science. I'd be happy if the app stuck to positive stories of people helping others, and the animal stories.

I paid but still see ads. Nevertheless, I love the app. Great idea and wonderful stories almost every day.

It's always good to have good news! I live the journalists who look for positivity amongst all the "sell lines" for stories. Thank you for doing what you do!

Loving the good news which is relevant without any fluff, a welcome change from the soul destroying mainstream news. 1 star deducted as there is no dark mode. 1 star deducted as there is no option to pay for ad removal.

I have loved this app for a very long time. Unfortunately, it crashed a few weeks ago and wouldn't update past November. Uninstall/reinstall didn't work. I'm very sad to say I've had to uninstall it.

I scroll news a lot. Once I found this app and website I realized that I can interrupt the bad news with good news! It's so refreshing. The app works great and is so easy to use.

This is exactly what I needed. i followed the usual news sites, wanting to stay informed. Yes, i knew what was going on, but with a horribly depressing pricetag! I LOVE the Good News Network. The pieces are interesting, well written and remind me that humanity is not lost. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So enjoyable to see good news every single day!!! This news feed sets my intentions for the day and always starts my day happy! Highly recommend to anyone who is tired of the B.S. fear based mainstream media. This is the feelgood news that happens everyday around the world that you never hear about! So much good in the world and we need to hear more about it!!!!

I love that everything is positive and the Quote of the Day is one of my favorite parts of the app. I like feeling informed but regular news is super depressing and I don't need any extra negativity in my life. Thank you for existing!

Feel-good stories; not good news. Things like "Girl's Prosthetic Arm Shoots Glitter" or "Adorable Puppy Brightens Boy's Christmas." Don't expect to find actual "good news" in this app. It's a magazine of cute memes. Which is fine, but it should have been labeled as such rather than as a "good news network." There are no news.

No experience I downloaded the app but it doesn't work at all, blank page, no news good or bad.

So far so good. Really nice to have positive news during the quarantine instead of all the fear based news on TV and other platforms. Thank you keep up the great work and please no click bait :)

I love reading or hearing Good News!! So encouraging and positive to know there is good out there. So much negativity is not good for the soul. I like inspirational everyday goodness brought by good people in the world. There is good news to report and plenty of it. Thanks for making my day!!!
