Good Sam Camping

Difficult to navigate, very basic. Unless you know exactly where you want to go, it can be hard to find a good list of options. Does give lists of amenities and ratings of cleanliness of restrooms and laundry facilities as well as area overall, which we find very useful. It hasn't improved in the several years I've tried to use it. They update the databases but not the app it seems.

4/10/21 ZERO stars. I've uninstalled, rebooted, installed, rebooted but it still fails. Response on Play store was useless and whoever made it obviously did not read my post. I give up on this app. I will use the RV Parky app. It finds everything and I can work out my itinerary for the frequent cross-country trips we make. 4/6/21 Tried again after installing, shutting down, and installing immediately after restart. Again the "app keeps stopping" error. Sent feedback via app.

No way to log in to your account. Also why allow another app to sell all of your personal information when you can just google map campgrounds near you.... That is literally all this app allows you to do. Do not waste your time and phones memory space, you already have an application that you can't delete from your phone that does the same thing.

Horrible app, you can't get into your account page without navigating other tabs. Then if you hit the back button, it kicks you all the way out to the main menu page (which is worthless) and you have to start over.

App won't run at all on a moto droid. Installed, removed, reinstalled several times. Absolutely nothing. Displays the logo, then closes. removing for the final time. useless and very disappointing. KOA app works great, though. hmmmm.

I am a Good Sam Member. There is no way to sign in to my account via the app. So when traveling, I can't access my itinerary or the travel maps that I spent a lot of time creating. I would love to use this while we are on the road, but NOT efficient or usable. I am disappointed.

Cant search by availability. Filters are not good. photos needed for more of the sites. needs a lot of improvement before it becomes useful. Good Sam designers need to take a lesson from Airbnb or Booking app.

I'm disappointed because good sams is an excellent service. This app has no filter for RV parks, campsites and I couldn't find any help, faq and there's no way to log off.

Useless on Android 9. Crashes on startup. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work. Rebooting doesn't help. IOS version does not do this. Giving it a 1 only because I don't think it'd let me give it a 0.

Lot of campgrounds but rating system for 9 and 10 facilities is waaaaay off. Ex: A PA campground rated 9 has dirt and gravel roads, gravel and grass sites, no cable, no radio stations available, no tv stations available, poor satellite access, WiFi is horrible and does not work half the time, only activities are pool , mini golf, a lake for fishing. Price is 64.00 . At best this is a 7. If you go to Florida it is even worse. Many campgrounds called "RESORTS" rated 9 & 10. Not even 6.

The app is great for replacing the huge book that is the equivalent, however because there isn't a sign in option I lose my favorites and notes every time I upgrade my phone.

Got the membership because we were taking a long trip and it was suggested we get the membership and app and Pilot/Flying J app. There was no warning you needed the actual membership card to use the saving on gas. So the first leg of our trip was a wash for any discounts. Got the card sent to our destination tried to use it coming home, but all diesel prices were about 20% higher than other stations. No help there either, plus, the one place (Pilot) we stopped for propane didn't honor the card.

I look up Conway, NC, right near Myrtle Beach and I get listings for Virginia. I look up Carolina Pines camp ground. The app states the park is too new for a rating. I scroll down and I see "2019 upcoming events"... It's already August 2020. I scroll down a bit further and find "last year's rates." Really? What year would that be? For a site that's "too new" for ratings? Just not well done all the way around.

This app has a few helps to plan your travels and can be helpful to those looking specifically for Good Sam campgrounds. I would expect an app that allows members to be logged in to take more advantage of their membership perks.

Not intuitive at all. Can't link my existing membership to the app? SMH. May as well take it down. Get better search results from Google.

My membership is valid through 11/7/2022. Finally got camper. Downloaded the app. Where's the log in? Checked other reviews. People have been complaining about this issue all year! Why haven't you fixed it. I know why. You already got my membership dues and you were probably hoping I'd be stupid enough to pay again. Why bother fixing the app as long as your pockets are lined. You mad yet? Mad enough that I called you out that you will finally fix the app? Before you ask, yes, updated everything.

been a camping world member for a long time. But everytime I download this app, nothing changes. all they want is more money? nowhere to add my account or account number. cant add notes you go to a camp site, makes no sense.

just dumb, this needs a lot of work. no filters, no options..not that helpful..sadly disappointed. do better, alot better.

The app is hard to navigate. Destination search comes up empty. Can even find the advertised "trip planner". Can't login, or enter membership number. Please fix the app!

I'm a new member of Good Sam's and I can't believe that you can't access your account from their app I mean this is just basic programming I can't believe they would put this app out without having you able to access your account how can you use the trip planner without it working on your tablet or your phone very poorly thought out. App opens with two buttons: "where do you want to go" and "find camping near you". When either of these are selected the app closes.

This may be the worst app I've ever tried to use! You would think as long as Good Sam has been in business they could hire some techies that actually know something and can do something. Isn't being able to find "log in" something that is important to use an app? Not going to renew.

Crashing over and over. Completely unusable. 4/9/21: Already tried to clear cache and storage and reinstall. Still just crashes. Dev response inaccurate.

Downloaded app after purchasing membership online. There is no login option, which leaves a very limited access. I am not repurchasing my 3yr subscription through the app. It should be fixed so that I can update my info into it.

Gives some basic info on campgrounds but that's about it. I'm a Good Sam member but there is no way to login in to your account or anything. They do have a place for you to buy a membership but a lot of good that's does trying to use this app.

Just joined Good Sam Club, then got the app. Like others said: you can't log into the app, it asks you to join, but offers no login option. It's worthless, I will uninstall as soon as I complete this review.

Nothing useful here. As others have said it does not connect with your membership and other search engines will give you the same or better info. Just takes up device space. Uninstalling.
