Exactly what I needed. I was used to a my phone vibrating for a very short period when my watch was disconnected, but when I got a new phone it used the same vibration as other notifications. It's not a notification that I need to look at, I just need to be aware that my watch was disconnected. This app made it so I could change the vibration time of that notification. Super easy to use. Great UI.
Everything I Needed - After the Android 10 update on my Pixel 3 I noticed there was no way to set app specific vibration patterns. While I was able to find the intensity settings under Accessibility, I like being able to set soecific patterns for certain apps so I don't have to check my phone every time. This app helps when my phone is in my pocket on a crowded bus or subway and all I want it to know when my GPS is alerting me to get off at the next stop. Thanks, Good Vibrations!
Only worked sometimes, regardless of how my settings were configured. Even when it did work, it would often not do the correct contact-specific vibrations I had set. Also, because I had Good Vibrations enabled, my Google Assistant would think I had already read my unread text messages, which meant I could not have it read them to me
Great app! Exactly what I need... I can can have custom vibration patterns and turn off vibrations while the screen is on... But now there is only the slight problem that I might forget about the notifications... It would be great to have an option for just 1 reminder after the screen was turned off.
Unfortunately, it stopped intercepting recently. Since all the notifications were silent (so GV would provide custom ones), I now get zero vibrations at all. It's a shame, it worked beautifully for awhile, but some bug seems to cripple it beyond repair. There were no Android updates or anything that could have set off this change.
I was regularly missing calendar alerts, crucial for my work at a radio station, which requires me to have my phone in silent mode at all times. This app is intuitive and extremely flexible. I will not miss another alert.
It just doesn't work...It doesn't allow to change the vibrations for SMS, so there goes about 50% of its purpose. But even for calls, I can't get it to work. Even after creating my pattern and adding my contacts, my phone still uses its default vibration when I call it. very disappointing.
Couldn't get it to work at all. It says the OS won't even allow it to do custom vibrations for messages, so fine, nothing they can do about that, but I couldn't get it to work for calls either. After setting up my custom vibration and testing it, it still only gave the normal phone vibration pattern, even though I had call vibrations turned off in the OS settings.
it's working pretty well when the screen is on, but when I turn it off, the app is lacking accuracy on it's vibrations. Every now and then it'll only vibrate when I turn the screen on again. Already turned the "ignore battery optimizations" off too (Using a Huawei P10 Plus)
It's a great app. But the only problem is., I wanted to use it for alarm clock and it worked,. Except for the fact that it only works for the first alarm, from the second alarm onwards, it does not work. It does not vibrate with the custom one but with the default one. Can anyone please help me setting up the vibrations multiple times?
This was an amazing app, I had it installed on my last 3 phones. However, it looks like development has stopped, which is a shame. The app no longer intercepts vibrations from Facebook Messenger and WhatApp (but it still works with e.g. Telegram). If anyone knows a good alternative with the same functionality that is still being updated, please let me know.
Intuitive interface design, but Google apparently doesn't want any 3rd party apps modifying the single vibration pattern that they have deemed to be sufficient. The app could not force Messages to accept custom vibe patterns on a Pixel 3 with Android 9.
Does not appear to work at all on a Pixel 3 XL on Android 10. Not even the "test" does anything. Set ringtone, set vibration, hit "play"... and silence. Kinda sad, because this was exactly the app I needed.
Upon receiving a notification I get a message saying "good vibrations changed ringtone from silent to vibration" and I get a second or third vibration following my initial notification. I disabled notifications for this App and I am still having the issue. Why is good vibrations constantly changing silent to vibrate even when my phone is already on vibrate?! I am tempted to uninstall if this cant be fixed Running Galaxy S9
Used to work great, but became less useful recently (June / July 2019). The lack of SMS functionality isn't the dev's fault, but the app recently stopped working for WhatsApp as well. Now, both the whatsapp vibration *and* the one from this app are triggered, with no way to suppress the whatsapp one. Would be happy if this could be fixed in the future.
love the idea, but not working for me anymore on my new s10 on 9.0. ended up having 3 different vibrations happening when there was supposed to be one. I'll be back after future updates to try again, keep up the great work! i realize a lot of people dont understand that google took away the sms option, not you.
Tried to set custom vibration for reddit, but everytime I got a notification from reddit it kept repeating the pattern I set until I cleared the notification. Not a good experience at all.
SMS has been removed reluctantly by the developer as Google changed their app policy to only allow dedicated SMS apps to have custom vibrations, which has forced this developer to remove that functionality from their app. So, not the developer's fault, and the app looked very slick and polished otherwise when I installed it.
I've had the app for awhile. I have the Galaxy S8 and I love my Galaxy. Just wish you could really feel it vibrate when you get a notification. I downloaded the app to help. It has a lot. Still just wish you could feel it more.
BACK THE F*** UP. I AM NOT ALLOWING AN APP TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS MY PRIVATE INFORMATION JUST TO CHANGE NOTIFICATION SOUNDS. Not to mention, I'm not letting an app be able to mess with the rest of my phone's settings. As soon as I saw that warning, I decided I'm not going to bother. I just wanted to make it so I could tell my apps notifications apart without looking, so I could decide how important they were without needing to look from what I'm going.
uninstalled it what's a waste of time hit-and-miss working. also every time you open up an app on your phone or wake your phone up it bombards you with ads throughout the whole time you are on your phone SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND DO NOT DOWNLOAD
I'm not sure if I'm wrong, but I used to think that this app allowed me to block heads-up notifications, I just recently installed it again in Android 7.1.1 and I can't find that option anywhere. Could anyone in the development team could help me?
The screen vibration doesn't work when you press the screen, but only certain changes. Not universally like I wanted.
this worked okay for the first day or so, but ended up throwing a 400$ droid turbo out after the speaker stopped working, replaced the battery and speaker still didnt work. got the moto z3 and three days in noticed no sound. found it was all due to this app!!!!!!!!! I bought a new 450$ phone and threw my 400$ phone out all due to this dumb app! be aware!!!
Any chance we get to set vibration intensity? I'd like to be able to fade my vibrations in and out and with the current setup it's just allowing for length.
I took a little work to get my phone settings correct for this app to work properly, but once I did, the app worked flawlessly. I'm running on Android P and it's working great, so good going dev.
Why do I get an annoying pop up every time I get a notification "Good vibrations has changed sound into silent your can manually adjust the volume to recover silent" what does this mean and how do I stop it??
Hi I have some ideas for your app to make it better i have read the comments and i realized that most of the users need to make custom vibration for sms messages and your app doesn't support that for google ruels so you should remove that option and tell the user that you should set a custom vibrate for message app instead the sms or instead the error dialog you can load the all sms apps that installed on user device like google messages and etc And second thing and the most important think is
Good concept however it doesn't work. I have a OP7Pro with Android 10, WhatsApp integration doesn't work. Refunded provided through Play Store.
On the Pixel 3 XL you MUST disable your battery saver for this app to work. It doesn't work on SMS because google stupidly didn't let the creator through their system when they updated it recently and there is nothing he can do about it. Still, the app works fairly well for certain app notifications and for calls, though for some apps it won't be able to override the original notification system (for me, messenger seemed to be one of these apps). That could use a fix. Still, deserves a download.
