Google Keep

It is for the basic notes with network sync, backup and collaborative note taking. However it lacks more formating options such as item list (ordered numbers, bullets) and embedded video files into the notes. It is also now having some sync issues. If you upload an image and it fails (lacks network or something) it won't resume syncing once network is back. There will be a double arrow symbol as if it was syncing but it won't sync.

It's a great app. I've been using it for writing my stories. And the reason for the lower rating is that, after the last update the app closes itself and restart whenever i try to undo something. And the lagging... Gosh, it's so annoying. Some times it takes more than 2seconds for the letters to appear when i type. The features are alright. But if you could increase the maximum number of words per note, that would be appreciated. Thank you.

Complete garbage. How do you screw up a notes app? No keyboard support. Up and down arrows won't go between list items, and backspace won't delete empty items. It won't show me all lists with a particular tag. I got the Galaxy Watch 4 for so I could use Google apps on my watch. Too bad when I open this app on my watch it just says "Notes syncing...". The web version is terrible. It won't let me drag and scroll up, so if something is at the bottom of a long list I can't put it at the top.

I really love this app, I am using it to organise myself for years. I just have a few complaints. they recently changed the colour scheme and it is hideous! If they would just give the opportunity to choose the colour from all possibilities, that would be great. New: update is awful, can I please remove this horrible bar at he side ? I don't need it and it blocks the whole screen.

It doesnt sync across platforms, I lost important notes because they didn't show up on my pc when I put them in on my phone. I tried to resintall the app and it's been loading my notes and still nothing. The collaborators feature just stopped working, my collaborators can't see the notes anymore even after updating and refreshing. It's just lowsy and unreliable. I'm over it. I'm better off using my Samsung notes.

I love this app but the recent update on the widget did the opposite of enhancing it. As you view the widget, fewer items are visible in each note, and the design is not as streamlined and clean as it was before. Instead it looks puffy, with wasted space, and shows the pin icons on the notes. Please consider changing the widget back to the old design.

Good God I love this app. I use it constantly, mainly for note taking but I've shifted to using it for reminders as well. I only wish it were Integrated better into the Pixel and Google ecosystem. Both Calendar and the Assistant have their own tasks/reminders implementation separate from this. I like using everything in Keep, but I wish the other two services fully synced what I do here. Custom colors on labels would be nice. Syncing Pixel Recorder entries into their own notes automatically, too

Keeps syncing at the start, made a note, refreshed to sync, tried to open note again... BOOM! Note is gone, but note still appears on the preview of List/Grid. It's so hysterical that I thought of using this note app first after experiencing a loss of 500+ important notes from Joplin. Thinking if something were to work properly and can sync to the most used online storage service (Google Drive), then it'll be a Google app developed by professional & well-paid developers from Google itself...

The app itself is good and runs well, but it's very basic. Some features are missing that are present on most other note apps (folders, text formatting, list options). If those features were added, this would probably be one of the better apps. It functions great with my galaxy watch as well. But, for now, Samsung Notes is still the far superior app.

Until a few days ago, it was a very good, useful and simple application. Unfortunately, it doesn't synchronize correctly for a few days. The images are not uploaded anymore while they are correctly downloaded. Clearing the cache and reinstalling the application did not help. Update 2022-04-29 : The synchronization of pictures works fine again. Keep is then again the simple and useful application it used to be.

This app looks cute and flashy but in fact it's good mainly for scribbles. It lacks formatting options, folders etc. There's only one font and one size of the letters which are rather small, so if you wear glasses like I do, you would like your text to appear bigger but there's no option for that. So, if you want to make serious, extensive notes (like diary, travelogue, studies etc) then your first choice should be One Note.

Nice app overall. Though I'd say that OneNote is better in terms of having more features that'd make this app even better if it had them. Like changing the font size, being able to make the text bold and/or italicized, adding bullet points or number points, increase or decrease indents, Highlighting text etc. Basically being able to customize text.

Keep is one of my fave apps. It's incredibly handy and it's probably the most consistent Google app I've ever used. I use it to share shopping lists or remind me of things... my whole family uses it. The only thing I don't like about it is that they muted the colors on the app version (compared to desktop) and it makes the app note colors a little drab. I think they upped the saturation to a similar level recently, so that's nice. The only other issues I have with it are small things, like for example, it's very easy to accidentally move list items when you are scrolling on your phone. Being able to lock that on each individual list would be handy. I love it and couldn't do without it.

I love this app. BUT, I really wish there were a few more options in it, such as formatting (bold, italic, underline, strike through, etc), tables, and more extensive customization (like being able to pick a color from a hue wheel, import your own background, etc) To me, this would allow better organization and personalization.

I like this app and use it all the time. Once in a while it will act buggy and I will have to restart my phone for it to work again. Something new I have also noticed, is when I get a reminder, I receive a duplicate reminder immediately after the first, so it appears as if I have 2 reminders in the drop down notifications. That's kind of annoying, but doesn't appear to affect the functionality.

This app is great, I don't have to scramble and get my phone to see my notes, I can see them anywhere where I can access Google. The only thing I'm having issues with is the search function, I have a long list, and when I search for something it just tells me that the thing is in that note pad, but it does not show me it, highlight it or anything if it's just out of the front of the note pad. If you can improve the search and maybe pinpoint the thing I'm searching for and take me to the text.

I love the format of this notes app and it has so many options. For a while there was a bug that made it completly unusable (adding spaces, deleting text, moving cursor), but I havent seen it in a while so maybe it got fixed. I'm going to give it the benifit of the doubt for now and turn my 1 star to 5 stars because other than the bug it's the best note app I've used so far.

1. When searching for "foo" it doesn't highlight foo in the search results. In fact, if "foo" is buried deeper into the note, it doesn't even show the preview, let alone highlight. This is very annoying and makes the app unusable for me as an avid notes keeper. 2. A simplified would be useful for someone like myself who has hundreds of notes. This is also exacerbated by the fact that search annoyance above isn't helping much.

I've been using this app for a while now, but all of a sudden, it's starting to act up. Every time I open it, it closes itself. I thought it was because of the storage, so I've been tranfering all of my notes onto paper and deleting them. It still has that issue. I deleted it, redownloaded it, updated it, and it still has this issue.

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ As a Field Service Technician, I would be lost without this application. So reliable! NEVER lose your valuable notes and details ever again. In the past, the standard notes apps on phones would be lost or very tedious to duplicate if you had to replace phone or reset, etc. THIS APPLICATION IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL THE NOTES APPLICATIONS I'VE EVER USED!!!! Thank you Google for making my work more productive and less time consuming when having to note calls. JUST AWESOME!

Normally a great app (will return to rate 5 stars when fixed). As others say, it inserts spaces and messes with formating. Taking notes is impossible. I thought the Feb 8th update would fix it but it has not. Device: Samsung Note 20 Ultra. Duration: since Feb 1st update. Otherwise love this app!!! Edit: App seems fixed. Tried alternatives and came back to this. Love it!!

Very easy to use and quick to create notes. It still lacks some useful features though. For example, when sharing something with Keep, you should allow adding to an existing note (now it always creates a new note). It's a easy feature and one that many would appreciate.

It can be the best note app! While it can be more operative! For example writing in BOLD or COLOURFUL font is absolutely necessary, or it's useful to have a #nolable lable!! I mean a segment with no label notes especially when you searching a note. Furthermore don't you think that having something like a time stamp printed at the beginning of the text greatly increase the performance of the software?

Possibly Fixed - Had issues with no keyboard input working, whether from the touchscreen, built-in keyboard, or bluetooth keyboard on a Chromebook. I uninstalled the app from the shelf, then did a search by the launcher and uninstalled 2 MORE copies of the app. I went to the Google Play Store and installed a fresh copy. Now it works. Give it a try and see if that'll help figure out the problem.

New colour scheme updates are dull and ugly. No more red colour, etc is making my colour coding really difficult. Especially having to sort all my old red notes into new colours. Update: Colours are still dull and ugly. Less colour options available. When switching to night mode, the colours update, but don't match the day versions at all! When red switches to night mode it becomes pink, etc. Colour coding has become so difficult. Not what you want from a note taking app. I use to love the app.
