I don't know if it's the app or the phone, but the navigation feature wont work. The phone is a stratus c5. The app keeps running in chrome and won't let me change it.
Need help, when I open the app it just open my browser instead of the app itself. Other go products work just fine but google maps go did not. My device is redmi 9a.
This app has been very good and helpful when I have had to use it slow some times and has some different wording for some places that share the same address it doesn't tell you about it but ok
Good at directions whether you walking, riding a bike , car etc. Its the best navigation app on my opinion.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Poor as the map is still out of date, well over five years or more. As I have passed places and looking at the map it is not there.
Rerouting issue The app gives you choice of two or three routes. If you choose the route not the fastest one the app will terout automatically. Why you have the choice if the app will change it on its own.
App launcher icon does not appear correctly. I can use the app but the icon just shows a default green Android icon instead of the actual Maps Lite icon on Android 7.
Street adresses is a problem. Its a good app for basic info. But if you try to check out your house positions you have a problem.
I don't understand these Go apps. The maps aren't what I was expecting. Twice it's landed me almost a mile off course.
Does not have bike path. Bicycle path returns "cannot find any route" 90% of the time, while i use bike to travel for my work.
Works ok but needs the navigation addon to hear voice. At least I dont need to buy a windows pc to keep updating my $500 Garmin.
It took a long time for the app to load and what more disappointing is that for you to be able to do a navigation, you have to download the somewhat add-on app navigation go for it to work. it would be more great if they make it one and compress the file size so it wont be difficult to users to download two seperate apps to make it all work.
App works ok for SG21 but features that were present in the SG9 version are not there. No voice look up, no ability to log alerts, and no search along current route capability. Perhaps they are there, and I just don't know how to turn them on. However, I never had to turn them on for the SG9, so at the very least less intuitive design. Also the navigation icon disappears every other time I use it making it difficult to know where exactly I am on the map.
Always used full version of Google maps, when I purchased my new mobile Google maps Go was already installed. I can't say I have had any problems with the App so far so good. Also it takes up a lot less space on my internal storage, which is handy as my new mobiles internal storage is pretty bad. I don't really see much difference between this lite version of maps and full one. All updates are quick to install and all in all easy to do, all information is provided to cover any FAQ. GOOD JOB.
A step in the right direction as maps has become bloat ware. But having it dependant on chrome is almost as bad. As chrome is extremely memory hungry, slow and clunky. There is a speed that google finds acceptable for its apps, response time and load time, which is about ten times longer than what I find acceptable. Which is why I am interested in GO apps. Even on a ZTE axon. Dear google. Your apps are fat and slow. I'm glad you've gotten them a personal trainer.
Functions well enough, but there's no way to sign out of your Google account like there is on regular Maps. There's an option to temporarily switch to the browser incognito mode, but it will quietly switch itself back out as soon as you change any other setting (showing the traffic map, for example). It's very low memory and featureful, but this is not privacy friendly.
Worse than maps honestly, this was supposed to be better. It doesn't even give a complete transportation schedule like maps used to, only 3 schedules ahead. How are you supposed to plan a whole day of transportation. Atleast maps still tries to give you almost 12 hours. Another important thing you cannot interchange destinations on the search bar, this was really basic requirement.
What is it with these app it's like staging a Anker on the free way🤨the emige s are so bad that when I zoom in theire I see the less I what too🤨 !not only that but had it is I v had to uninstall it because in the fact place the Anker thing was dragging every thing in my phone it even kick my inter nets sev down? I mean That I had Ben looking for what could be the probblum the I found out it s the Anker app🤨then trying too kill it off , or at least to stop it from not eating to upamd down on
The superiority of the Google Map is undeniable, but unfortunately the company does not pay attention to any suggestion about new idea, I personally several time have sent my idea about improving the map freely, but I never got any response from the company.
I needed to use MapGo for the final stages of a journey I knew about half of. However, this differed from what the app was telling me, which as far as I could tell was trying to get me to the nearest motorway, which was miles out of my way. Because I made the mistake of not trusting my own knowledge, my journey ended up taking twice as long as it should. Would it not be possible to install an override option and adjust the algorithm that insists on taking the driver to the nearest motorway?
