This app was great 5 stars but here recently it wont open. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no luck on opening the app. Not sure what is going on but until it's fixed I wouldn't wast your space with it. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I've reported it twice now but still not working. PLEASE FIX APP.

App has improved greatly with tides, feeding times and such. Thank very much for putting this data all in one place.

Since the April update, I am unable to open the app on my phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and am still unable to open the app. Please fix this

Great tool by which to purchase, renew, and store licenses. VA DWR is a fine organization - wish all government agencies were as competent and customer oriented!

This app was working fine untill 2 weeks ago. It will no longer open.

A recent update has made the license image unreadable due to its small size. It was previously working fine. I know it's surprising that a government agency would mess up something that was working well, but hey.... it's so hard to read now that I question its usefulness. Also, the app is named "GoOutdoorsVA" but would better be named "GoHunt&FishVA" since its really only aimed at people who are hunting or fishing (or boating, which is commonly associated with fishing...). Previous versions did a good job at giving license information, and I used the app last year to check in deer and to buy a license, so it worked for that, but it's not an app for hiking or birding, for example -- which are other reasons that people go outdoors. So it should be properly named, and readable.

The latest update renders the app unopenable. Worked great last year, now i cant access. I want to fish but im worried that i have no way to show im legit. I downloaded my permit to show on the water as needed. I have an older phone and was a little salty due to a family fishing excursion coming up. If the app works on newer phone definatly get it, ill try downloading again later

This app was working fine until this passed week. Trying to tag a deer and it kept flashing and saying refreshing. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Was able to tag the deer but not without a lot of aggravating moves. Definitely a glitch that needs to be addressed immediately considering it's right in the middle of hunting season.

I kinda love this app. I would absolutely love it if it wasn't mostly geared towards freshwater fishing. Let me explain... if you go in to the fishing section of the app, it's completely about freshwater and nowhere is there saltwater fishing. Same goes for the fish species... all freshwater. That doesn't work for me since 90% of my angling is saltwater. Therefore I can only give it 3 stars. If saltwater was included it would easily be 5 stars since the app is extremely useful otherwise.

Great app. Makes checking game easier than using the call in checking. Now if they could lower the price of nonresident license. Grew up in Virginia but moved to Tennessee to get closer to work and think both states could do better on the price of their nonresident license.

Easy and convenient, but it won't display the actual license when you click the license under View License. In the past you were able to click the license and it would display the paper copy along with all the notched tags. Be great to have this function again.

Had a problem getting the app to display licenses at first. Read comments from developers about changing the font size and that worked finally! It did take a second font setting to get it small enough to display and synch.

Seems to work well. But it's not showing my updated fishing license. Also it needs to have the ability to put your Virginia boating operators license in as well. Kill two birds with one app so to speak.

Screw you Virginia. Your stupid app that I purchase my licenses through is a piece of garbage. I opened it to ensure I had proper licensure and was alerted that my app was "out of date" so I initiated an update. I got the same notice after updating. I then uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Same difference. A fresh install and I can't navigate the app. What are we doing here? Its a shame because the dgif is one of the few state institutions that is reliable and helpful.

Some of the app features dont work.#1 cant scroll down to see add licence to profile or sync.#2 when you try to click your licence it shows up big with only name but no info on it.app was better last year.This year not working right.And yes im using a Samsung smart phone.

The past few years I have used the app I loved it, but this year my it won't display my tags. I have synced my license, however when I go to tags it says I have none available. I guess I'll have to make the 20 minute phone call to check my game in instead of the 20 second enotch.

I'm with previous rater, I liked it better when I could see my actual license and tags on here. I don't like not having access to it. Will we get a ticket for not having a license or will they just scan the QR or run our drivers license? I bought the hard card just for the peace of mind.

This app is completely useless for purchasing a license. I have tried multiple times and it will not add to the cart and before you tell me to call The point of an app is that you don't have to call.

It's very nice app to have it is a very easy fast simple way to notch a game tag instead of waiting forever on the phone all you have to do is download this app and your info and put it all in simple easy smart way thanks for making this app

The new app has been loading for a long time. Has never finished loading. Have made several attempts. Results the same.

Having trouble getting the app to show sunrise and sunset times and sometimes trouble with feeding time. I've uninstalled and reinstalled still same problem.

Very easy to use

Great app. Similar info found on website in an easy to use platform. Finally used the enotch system and was super easy. Had my little girl download it on her phone so she could look up and check info for herself.

Won't show sunrise or set times, won't show feeding times. Always says loading......... What good is it if it doesn't work? Works good for carrying your license with you, that's it.

Nice that it gives frequent updates on trout stocking activity. However the purchase pages need some work. What is with the giant, empty brown bar and interfering zoom button that reduce your scroll space and the area to enter info into a millimeter?

This app is an absolute waste of time. I couldn't sync my license and had to end calling the VGIF to get it straightened out. 🙄

I get error messages all the time when I try to use this app. Just moments ago when I clicked on hunting seasons I got an error message Telling me I could go to the website. No kidding, if I wanted to go to the website every time I would just delete this stupid app

the app is awesome but a roayal pain to use for renewing license.. Took me over an hour , then having to go to the website.. The navigation of this app is not easy for this.

I am not seeing the icon to open the App. I also tried ordering the hard card but was not able to select it after a glitch closed the window.
