Gospel Library

Perfect for me with early morning listening on my way to work and catching videos, podcasts and even sections of conference i want to review. The one and only problem i have with this app is that it stops playing in the background of i need to do something else like send a text or Google something. It seems like i remember that before the update it would do that for me but no longer does. I know this is an issue for others so please fix this as it is very inconvenient! Thanks 😊

There are moments I feel the Spirit speak to me and it is very nice to have the ability to quickly open multiple tabs to "follow Him". I wasnt much for using scriptures electronically until the last 2 years where things have been intense. These really are the last days. Its a blessing to have the Gospel library app. There are a few moments with the app opening an endless loop of times. Thank you whoever is working on updating the Gospel Library app

A good app for the most part. I haven't been a big fan of the most recent update. My most major issue is that if I click on an external link that is supposed to send me to Gospel Library, it keeps opening the app and then opening it in another window, over and over unless I try to stop it. It will never actually pull up the scripture or talk that I was trying to look at.

The search function has rarely worked when trying to find something in the scriptures. Throughout the years, it has generally told me it can't find a phrase or word in the scriptures. For example, I've just typed "atonement" and clicked "Find 'atonement' in the scriptures". Instead of giving me those search results, it gives me the results under the "All" tab. Then I click the"Scriptures" tab and it says there are no results.

Latest update has removed related content from the sidebar, which can no longer be pinned. The list continues to grow of now-deleted useful functionality, making the tool less and less functional with each released set of changes. It used to be very useful, but loses something with every mod. Recent releases indicate that regression testing is not being done and that the overall software development process is out of control. April 2022-No progress yet.

The search function on this is as bad as it gets. 20 years ago third parties had search functions that rocked. You could search 1 word and get everywhere in the scriptures that word was found. I search for any word "bond" and zero finds in the Book of Mormon on this app. Pathetic. I was told to recreate search index in my settings to fix this problem. It works. Now I have to do that periodically so I raised my rating to 2 stars. Still doesn't work at all until I recreate search index periodical

Love having access to so much. Well organized and easy to use. Sometimes I will click on a window and it will bring up a different window I had open. Wish it updated with conference content earlier as the website always directs you back to the app even though the conference content isn't there yet.

It's a good solid app that still doesn't take advantage of SD cards' storage. I would love to have the full catalog of videos to watch, rather than carefully picking through in advance. It had the option early in its existence. Please bring it back!

would be better but since I've had this, I've had my Bible disappear twice. no matter what i do, its just gone. it was there one day and gone the next. still gone as of now and app is up to date. i don't want to remove it because of the notes, bookmarks etc.... especially my ASL portion. not to mention constantly crashing. please fix it!...i need my scriptures!

The tabs at the bottom are very inconsistent from a UI perspective. They don't behave like a tab should. For example, if you're in a screen and you tap the home or library tab, it navigates there, but going back to the screens tab doesn't restore to where you used to be. Tabs generally indicate a view that you can go back and forth to/from, and this doesn't behave this way. Screen switching should probably be done with a drop down menu. Tabs should always maintain state when bouncing around.

'Screens' tab on Android needs work. Using a pixel 6 pro, the screens get stuck. Say I have two open screens to different content. When this error happens I cannot switch between the screens. Clicking on the other screen seems to route me back to the main menu or just puts me back into the same screen. you are not handling your states well. Particularly on pop. Perhaps look at what you have going on in your pop function - if you have a single codebase you might need to throw in Android native.

Search function is worthless. If I ask to recreate search index, I can do ONE good search. Then it tells me "prayer" isn't in the library! Really? Some of the new changes aren't particularly useful, at least as far as I've found... maybe I need to explore more. Still, I love the wealth of info available in more than English.

1. Still no auto scrolling down the page while listening to scriptures so you can read along? Not useful to screen mirror to the tv so my kids read along. Always losing our place and it's a little chaotic. 2. Also can't hide the audio controls anymore so they don't take up half the screen? 3. Useless in church because I can't afford the data and I can't download whole books at home. Useless because no wifi at church; CAN'T FOLLOW or TEACH LESSONS.☹️Not a good feeling in church. ScrapnTheApp!

It works great but has one major flaw. When using the audio options its very easy to lose your place. If after listening for a while you stop it, then open the app again some time later after that your stopping spot wont be saved.

Love the content，app could still be improved. One of my biggest frustrations is that if you rotate your screen while typing a note, it closes the entire annotation without saving.

I use the app daily but more and more I don't find the app as user friendly. Several times the app just shuts down. Sometimes just because I turn the phone sideways. The places where I'm reading are often lost and when I try to go back I'm sent to the new Home Page. I don't ever use the new Home Page.

This has been an excellent app until just recently. I have not been able to download anything for 2022. I have been trying since February to download the Come Follow Me manual, but I have not been successful. I have also tried downloading other things on Gospel Library with 0 success. Can someone please give me some advice regarding this? I've never had this happen before. Thank you!

I like this. The only thing that really confuses me is why the app continues to go back to the homepage when I'm in the middle of a session listening to the scriptures. Often it even loses my place, so I have to go back and figure out exactly where the last scriptures were that I was hearing.

Not sure what this app update was supposed to do but now every time I try to use it it just closes as it should be loading the proper page. It happens regardless of what section I'm trying to use as well. Loved it once. Maybe can again... All the answers below are when the app is actually working. And the actual answer is YES

I've had to uninstall the app a number of times because it continues to stop running or just crashes. I really wish there was something more dependablel, because this app is not!

All the info kept in this is great- but since it's update the app crashes regularly. I pretty much don't use it anymore because it crashes every time I open it.

Downloaded the recent update and it won't work, says need to connect to internet. Tried another device and the same thing. Never had this happen before, now I can't use it. Have to just go to the church website to access scriptures etc,quite dissapointing as it's a good app as i have used it in the past. Please can you fix this A.S.A.P.....as members use this for there scripture study etc Thanks :-)

It's following what happened to the web site: the format is getting worse and things are getting harder to find Update: same as before, but worse. Time to find a new app for scripture study. Update 2022: everyone you look, you've got 15 "screens" open and you were never told you were opening a new screen.

It is very easy especially when you put in your church account and can access through it! I also like how it have all the necessary information and the updation of very document or talk in it!

Why does this app keep crashing shortly after opening; repeatedly? And why does the error message tell me it's not responding and will close when I'm no longer using the app, and haven't for over 24hrs?

The app is very useful. One request is that you put the Ministering library closer to the surface. Right now it is buried in several categories under leadership and I believe this should be out front for all to find it so Ministering member can use it.
