Very lackluster. Pairing devices is a pain, automation lacks a lot of options (Gradually turning the lights on? Choosing the color of the light? Choosing the brightness while in color mode? Cancelling a program that's started running? Switching modes if the light is already on but nit turning it on if it's off? And probably a lot of other things I cannot think of right now)

The switches work well and you can set up automation easily. So, why 2 stars? Every time I open the app, instead of being able to quickly easily turn my hardware on and off, I'm forced to wait for a full-screen ad to load and then close (or accidentally click on) it. I'm happy to learn about your discounts! I'm extremely unhappy for them to forcibly delay my ability to use your product! Edit: The ads now take even longer to load and are harder to dismiss. What a garbage marketing department.

The products are great and easy to set up the same can not be said for the app. The automation part is more confusing than it needs to be. Would be great to have a and off schedule by room or a customizable category/ zone including the ability to have the bulbs being able to have the same color. Example u have 4 outside color bulb but it is almost impossible to get the same hue on all of them so they match. Fix 5his and i will buy more bulbs and give you 5 stars

I have several switches installed and they all work great! But, they force advertisements on you now, and though they added a feature to turn the ads off, it's only for a week. Gosund, I will remove all the switches in my house and throw them in the trash and start over with a company that doesn't force ads on you when the app is opened unless you remove that feature or make it so you can permanently turn off the ads. Very easy to setup and easy to use interface. It would be nice to see a total of all the plugs usage combined. Very easy to turn on / off plugs, including dual sockets. One niggle is the rooms, I added kitchen and another room that were not listed and now they're duplicated, but only one of each room has the plugs linked.

App works. Here lately everytime I open the app there's an ad that pops up trying to sell me some kind of plug or device, I paid for the product one time. I don't expect ads to be shoved down my throat everytime I open the app. I try to X out of the ad and it still opens up blocking access to be able to turn the plug on and off. If this keeps happening I'm returning the product and switching over to Alexa that has no ads.

Gosund is an awesome system. With just one drawback. After a few days or weeks, you need to delete sensors and plugs and switches, and re-connect into the system. I reset my wifi system about every 2 days or so, my entire automation system runs several channels, and multiple networks, and when the system is rebooted, all the plugs and switches don't always go back on line correctly, and unfortunately, you don't know it, until gosund goes to execute the system tone bursts, and it fails, to run.

It was great for the price when I bought. However, recently they have started showing ads every time I open the app which is really gets in the way and ruins the experience. Classic sucker move. I am considering other apps or even plug. I don't want to be irritated every time I want to turn something on / off.

Great app, super easy to use and set up new devices. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the ads everytime I open it. When I'm tired as hell and just want to turn my light off I don't want to see an ad before I can get to my controls, let alone try to hit the tiny X to close it and end up being sent to the ad page anyway.

It's a very nice app! One update that would be good to see is all the energy usage combined into one graph instead of having to go into each device! And even a widget that shortcuts to the energy info! We are heading into a time where we need to keep a check on what uses the most energy and these plugs are perfect for the job!

I want to achieve what I think is a very basic thing: have an automation run daily between certain hours, every few minutes. Impossible with this app, unless I configure one automation for every time of day when I want it to run. And to further complicate things, it is not possible to duplicate an automation. If the app had such a feature, it would at least make this process quicker. I'd configure the automation once, then duplicate it and just change the time of day for the new one.

I have used this app for years, and I love that its compatible with Alexa but this recent move when you open the app and you have anywhere from 1 to 3 advertisements pop up to purchase their products is VERY frustrating and I'm tempted to switch to another company because of this. They need to remove these annoying popups! We have already purchased your products!

If you use the app, you've already purchased their hardware, but it doesn't stop them from forcing you to watch an ad about half the time you start the app. The hardware works well, but this rambunctious tactic in the app means I'll never buy their products again. They say you can block the ads now, but they don't tell you that your block only lasts a week. So, every week, you have to navigate three menu levels deep to the setting, and block the ads. I don't know who considers THAT a solution, but it's no one I know.

May 18,2021 Revised 2-star to 1-star, because Gosund's response to my review yesterday is to contact them again, and for what? What will be the result other than me wasting more time? I was told THAT GOSUND DEVICES WILL NEVER GET UPDATED, the AUTOMATIC UPDATE function is a farce! Please fix that, then we'll have something to talk about... May 17, 2021 The Gosund app AUTOMATIC UPDATE function is a lie. After spending hours over many days and many emails and messages with Gosund tech support about how one of my WP9 outlets has a different app interface (brown with some functions missing) they CONFIRMED THAT THE DEVICE CANNOT BE UPDATED. Over the last few months I have made 3 different purchases and now have (4) P2 outlets, (2) WP9 outlets (different firmware), and (2) WP3 plugs (different firmware) and knowing now that NONE OF THESE WILL EVER GET UPDATED I think I'll stop here... Nov 12, 2021 The last update moved the 'ads' to the Mall page, and there is a setting to turn off the 'Display Home Banner' but it doesn't work, the mini ads still show, which is ok since it's on the Mall page. The app still white screens if you leave it open, forcing you to close and reopen the app. I wish they would fix that. Oct 28, 2021 So far the Gosund app (device Gosund P2) seems to be working great and I had no issues connecting the device and app to Google Home. The Gosund app maintains connectivity and has always worked when I use it for turning the individual devices on/off. I don't like the 'mini advertisements' on the home page and wish that there was a setting to turn that off. The app scheduling functions are working as intended. The only downside is that if I leave the app open on my phone for quick access sometimes the app 'white screens' forcing me to close & reopen the app. I hope that gets fixed soon. Overall the operation of this app does what it is intended to do when you want it to function.

Easy sync and install over other brands I have tried like Walmart(merkury). it also has the ability to set schedules which is great for the porches and at night I'm not coming home to a dark house it automatically turns off/on. Majority of my house is google multiple speakers,a display ECT. I just added Alexa echos for the kids and to my surprise it works with both at the same time. My kids can turn on/off thru Alexa and I can control thru Google. No issues no problems thus far.

I agree with other users/reviewers here, I cannot stand having ads all over my screen in this app. I already paid for the hardware! So Gosund have the option to temporarily disable the ads, but it would RESUME IN 7 DAYS! That is not solving the problem for the customers. Time to switch hardware brand. I'm pulling all GoSund plugs from my parents home too. My friends usually go to me for techie recommendation, I will tell them to stay away from GoSund!

I bought your products, why do I have to filter through your adds to use your app every time? Gross! Very easy decision not to buy more of your products. The worst add for your products is forcing adds on me while using your product. *FacePalm. Turning off ads temporarily is still silly and inconvenient. Just have a working app for your product. If the experience is great, people will buy more. If your experience is not good, people will seek other products.

Runs ads that you can't disable. This app is required to remotely control the outlets I bought. Now everytime I want to turn one on or off, I have to click the tiny x to close the add that covers the ENTIRE screen. Half the time, the ad opens in a browser anyway. It's incredibly annoying.

Great SmartHome company! Products last, have exceptional performance, durability and really convenient. They have pretty low priced products, naturally you would think that smart products aren't as high quality as built in SmartHome hubs but it really is. It's my only company I've used for smart home technology but I'm content and don't plan to get any other brand. The only issue I have is getting the devices registered can occasionally be a pain, but once you know what you're doing it's easy.

Shouldn't get adds on the app when I physically purchased the product. Have over $100 in lights and smart plugs and I can't adjust anything without getting bombarded with ads. Won't be using them again and am considering just removing them entirely for this money grab. Selling ad spaced to customers that have already purchased their product.

I paid a lot of money for the various smart devices I have. I have about 12 smart plugs & I'm planning on buying 12-15 more as funds allow. I'm very satisfied with this app and the products that go with it. I despise the ads. I'm one of those people who will buy a paid version of a program to avoid ads. That is not an option. I am going to start buying another brand that doesn't have these obtrusive ads. I will eventually replace this product. The ads are that bad.

The app is very easy to install and understand. It walks you through adding new devices, and reading them if they become disconnected. It easily links to Alexa, both as individual devices and groups you make that allow you to control multiple devices together.

Constant Ads that you have to close before you can control the outlets. Very annoying, especially after purchasing the devices. I plan to get rid of these and buy some other outlets that don't come with an app that constantly pushes sales ads for their products.
