Doesnt Work and it's likely Intentional...Considering the history of the US government. They want us to starve for the small pay we can achieve. Taxing the poor, but coddle the rich.
Worked fine until today. Virginia needs more information/documentation submitted for the adjusted monetary benefits. The timeline for this action directs to a page where you enter some quick info and a place to submit supporting documentation. The doc upload button pushes, but nothing happens. I checked for missed popups that I may have missed... there were none. Just pushes and nothing. Swiped app closed, tried again, nothing happens. No box opens to upload my document. Please advise.
Was working effectively, when first installed. However, it has stopped loading. After the initial loading of the blue "Gov2Go" screen. The screen only turns white with a blue border on the top of the screen. After 10 minutes the app never loads. I also never had the option to file a weekly claim with the app.
This app did not work for the first week after I installed it. They did finally get it going. I was instructed to use this app to qualify for the $300 Lost Wages Assistance program for the state of Virginia. It appears to be an extra layer of confusion between the user and the actual government websites that need to be accessed. It may be a helpful organizational tool for some people. My rating increases to four stars instead of one star. Thanks for fixing your mess.
Paid them for all three vehicle tags and got confirmation of payment. Waited nearly two months for my tags to arrive, only to get an email long after the penalty date that they failed to ever pay the county and we would be stuck another week waiting for our credit card to be refunded! Now we have to pay again and pay late fees and thank God we didn't get a ticket in the meantime! This is a scam group--do not use!
UPDATED: After posting my review, the developers fixed the problem and the app ran fast and smooth. And, they took the time to respond, which I appreciate! -- Internal error message - Virginia is using this for PUA applications for self employed/gig workers and so far, I'm not impressed. Have not been able to get past the blue spinning wheel of death on either phone or laptop.
Save yourself time and headache and don't download. This app is supposed to be your government assistant app...ha! Whomever the 'government' hired to develop this app needs to scrap it and start over. It has been continually glitchy and rarely ever can you get where you need to go. It just keeps getting worse with every update. I will save my time and disc space and delete the app and rely on websites to do what I need to.
The app has an assistant for questions you have, but if it provides a link for more information, you can't click the link. OLD REVIEW : Not the prettiest app, but gets the job done. Way easier than any other method, and I get reminders on my phone to do my vehicle registration.
My weekly updates are not installed on the app until almost midnight, making me late on getting my weekly renewals and for unemployment. I'm trying to upload documents right now that I've been told need to be Uploaded to day and they didn't even get the feature update and till 30 minutes ago, 7:30 at night and now it won't let me submit my documents. This is a horrible app and I'm forced to use it
Extremely poor UI. Keyboard background stays permanently on screen after any typing, and back button exits entire app and leaves whatever you were working on. Obviously no care put into the updates as these have been problems for over a year at this point.
It worked great right after first installing it. Now it isn't reminding me of registration renewals on any of our vehicles. All it is doing is showing receipts from last years renewals. Uninstalling it after I post this review.
Not able to login with several passwords and username changes. I was able to connect only to do my PUA claim. Now a week later and it keeps stating unable to log in. I was successfully able to change my password, but then it would say try again unable to login. So very frustrating since I need to submit needed information. Easy to install but it doesn't work.
I checked in app settings under android app permission menu . By Default No permissions is allowed or required for this app . But do I need to switch to give app permissions to Storage or Phone or it's Not required at all ? I get email notifications from gov2go when weeks available , but never a SMS or push notification, does it have anything to do with app permissions access or those options are just not available except email notifications? Thanks
The old VEC unemployment site was more user friendly than this. The app seems to be some sort of webview for there mobile site, and doesn't take advantage of native ui controls or elements. The workflow for filing weekly unemployment benefits is confusing and wouldn't be intuitive for first time users of the process.
This app is horrible - paid through the app to renew my plates on my car ahead of my expiration date, and I still have not gotten my new registration/tags two weeks after paying. Called down to the motor vehicle office, and they show no payment has been submitted for my vehicle! Now I have to go to the motor vehicle office to renew my plates, AND pay a late fee, because my plates are now expired. Don't use the app for payments - it's a ripoff!
edit 2: I've gotten the same email four times today and the app has ten messages that are ALK THE SAME. Please stop edit 1: Confusing, unpleasant, no real help given, and when I type then put away the keyboard to see better, it stays scrunched up as if the keyboard is still taking up half the screen.
app is worst than the website. unless I want public info on national parks there is a serious lack of intuitive menu navigation. Shortcuts for useful/productive services are unavailable while shortcuts for tourist season is...t(-_-t)
Great app, really simple and doesn't drive me crazy. However, how do I know when my forms have been submitted? I'll hit submit form and it basically reloads the same page with no notification that either somethings wrong or that it actually did go through...
Very upset, recently i received an email about how they have updated their site, come check it out. When i did it appeared as if they had links to different government agencies for help. So i applied for this help through this site and all it has done has been to create spam and soliciting phone calls. Not what they are portraying. Very very disappointed, really need help.
So far it's been very helpful , I just don't understand why I can't do the weekly claims that others can do? Updated...definitely a 5 star app. The support team reached out to me and told me why my weeks wasn't showing yet and it makes perfect sense, once I am approved I will be able to file for the past and current week(s). 5 stars for the customer service!! Thank you!
App keeps moving up half the screen so I cannot see half of the app. If I reload the app it work until it goes back up half the screen again and I lose all my progress.
I started using the app on April 24th, it was showing all of the weeks for filing claims. I filed my last claim on May 3rd, and got a confirmation. On may 4, 2020.. it was saying that I filed a application and all weeks on timeline were missing.. I have emailed support twice to be told that it's a VEC issue. I have called the number every day for the past week with no help or response.
Website doesnt work and neither does this app. Its a shame all i need this for is to register for my LWA, and was made a requirement. If the developers couldnt handle the volume they shouldn't have ok'd VEC to send out a mass message telling everyone to use it. All replies from developers is an obvious auto-reply that has nothing to do with the issue.
I used this app in the past to schedule covid tests. Today I tried to and I couldn't find the testing info anywhere. If there hadn't been a link to schedule a new test under one of my old appointments, I wouldn't have been able to do it (in SC). Also, this app signs you out way too quickly and it's frustrating when you're waiting in line for a test and need to pull up your voucher number. If you're going to require logging in every time, please add biometric support. Also, where is MFA?
App has stopped working as of May 29th 2021. It worked fine the whole pandemic, then all of a sudden week ending Sunday 30th of May 2021 it keeps showing past due, doesn't show the new week the next week, and HAVEN'T BEEN PAID SINCE! ALL says overdue, you go through the process, and submit the new work search requirements, and again No payment happens, and same situation the next week. Overdue shows, in prior weeks, no payment. The NEW PUA # is a joke, all automated so never get resolution. HELP
Have to keep calling to file weekly benefits now because to those options are still difficult to do on the app. Furthermore it does not seem to keep my claim info updated. I tried to claim the weekly benefits today and had to call instead because it wasn't available to do on the app. I've had nothing but problems with it since December.
Terrible design. Have to hunt for former weekly claim in order to file the weekly claim of the week you are on. Everything is hidden, and can't seem to be able to file this week. Hitting every button and link to search. This is typical of how government works. In that, it doesn't work "for you". Disgusting! "We the people" haha. No, not with this terrible design. No wonder people are marching in the streets. Because failures like this app. Atrocious! Horrible in it's purpose. Intentional!
Literally a day after not thinking the app worked i realized it wasn't an app problem at all. App works great. If your family member needs to file its easy to sign out then they can sign in and file then sign out. Unbelievably efficient
Well, it is almost a zero star, but I will give it 2 stars because it is useful, BUT, fix the thing so the back button actually goes back (like EVERY app made including browsers) and does not exit the app. This is ANNOYING and makes the app almost worthless since I spend more time going back into it and waiting for it to refresh than I should
I wish it worked, but every time I try to create an account it just says "unable to create account please try again." The help and support tab just says to make sure you're using the most up to date version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari even though I'm accessing it from the app. Tried accessing the website on a browser to see if there was any difference but it still just gives me the same error
