Govee Home

So far the lights are visually perfect. I would like to have a speed control. I have only had this product and app for two days so I'm still exploring all the intricacies. The biggest problem is not being able to connect with the Google Assistant. It shows me that I don't have any devices in my Govee home app after I reset, deleted the device numerous times. Still says it's not registered even after I made a account, closed it, my made another one, still nothing. Bluetooth is confusing.

If you make the wifi connection the primary over Bluetooth and use Bluetooth as a secondary point of connecting then wouldn't it get rid of the lag when adjusting devices with Google Home. Give us the option in settings to select a primary connecting point. The lag is very bothersome when adjusting lights with home and doesn't reflect the proper brightness percentage. This is the one issue I have with your app and devices. I love my two Lyra lamps and bars! Please look into it!

Should be a great app.......but connection to devices via WiFi or Bluetooth takes ages when the app is opened. For months I have battled to get the app to work reliably. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, removed all devices, added all devices....all without result. Often the WiFi fails to connect to all my Govee devices and so voice controls won't work. My other similar devices, which are not Govee, work well. So it is specific to the Govee app and is a WiFi connection issue.

GOVEE IMMERSION KIT. Update issues Via Bluetooth. In order to update to the latest firmware for movie mumbo jumbo you need to connect via Bluetooth first but the Bluetooth connection isn't stable and disconnect, thus you can't update to the latest version. also the light sync isn't accurate and the app is somewhat frustrating for first time users. App doesn't support split screen so you need another device to access your email in order to retreat the code that they send you to create an account

4 stars for now. Good app but missing some very important features. Speed of the lights NEEDS to be added. There are many schemes that would be awesome is we can change their speed. Most people can't have the lights blinking so fast, so the options are limited by not being able to set the speed. Please, please, please allow us to be able to change the speed of the changing colors/schemes. This is a very important feature this app needs badly. Other than that, pretty nice and clean app.

I'm using this app with a H5075 temperature and humidity sensor. The graphing functionality is great and easy to use. It does have a problem though where configured alarms will not work at all unless the app is opened and often times will require a manual sync too, making that feature pretty useless. Also, the ads are a bit annoying.

The app no longer works and does not hold a steady connection on a 2.4 GHz Network. This is ever since the last app update. Now the lights no longer can be controlled via Google Assistant which is one of the main features so it really is kind of annoying and their support has not been really great. I have a second set that I am even hesitant to set up on another TV set just because of how poorly the app and connectivity work. It would be nice if you could actually get support from this company.

Top Edit: App gets worse with every update, as more and more ads are crammed in. WHY. ARE. THERE. ADS. IN. AN. APP. FOR. PRODUCTS. YOU. ALREADY. BOUGHT. Not to mention they're the extra scummy kind that pop up AFTER everything else has loaded, so that when you go to press something, an ad scoots it out of the way so you press on the ad instead. Absolute garbage app, you all should be ashamed. Going with a different company the next time I need multi-function lights.

I have had GOVEE lights for over a year now. I like they allow you to save sets of colors to your LED controller itself that can be viewed and selected using the app that stays in sync across the app on all your devices. There's also a way to select colors using sliding scales for RGB.

There needs to be more options for triggers with the auto run feature. The ability to trigger a smart outlet based off your guys's Wi-Fi thermometer / hygrometer would be a game changer. I bought some of the devices and was bummed when I figured out you can't use temperature or humidity as a trigger for a smart outlet. A much needed feature.

All the lighter colors do not show its just white and its really frustrating and annoying. Then if you choose a light color & turn the brightness down it goes to a neutral color. It might be the lights themselves or just the app. Then half the time they won't turn off so I have to unplug the lights and plug them back in to turn off. then when its the color white moat of them are pinks and blues while the rest are white or just a light color. I don't recommend this app.

Edit* It's fixed! Thank you Govee! I can again enjoy this amazing app! 🤩 It won't connect to one of my devices. Bluetooth is on and it connects to the other lights so there should be no problem, yet it persists even after reinstalling the app and restarting my phone. I don't know my order number so I cannot even request help. :/

Everytime, I click on thermometer to view temperature graph, I get a message "Loading" while showing data that is several hours old. It takes a while to show the graph with current data. Don't enjoy waiting everytime. Hate the ads.

This App is good for controlling Smart Devices. But what I dont like about it is that they integrated there Store in it so it becomes a shopping App too. Something that I will never use. Also they added miscellaneous activities and settings in the App. I just want a App where I can control my Smart Devices thats it.

This is a terrible app. I continuously have to try and reconnect my Samsung phone bluetooth to bulb every time I turn the light on if I want to adjust color or brightness. I turn BT on and off as well as the bulb. It's a crapshoot to see if it connects. If you like frustration get this app!

Good app some connectivity issues as of recently since the previous updates but always works. Scenes are way too bright IMO they should also be given the option to dim as low as colors. 3 stars for these reasons.

The app gets two stars for having features that seem to be different between bluetooth and wifi. If that's not the case, the UI is too complicated.

Staying connected via Bluetooth while running in the background is essential. Until this is fixed don't waste the money buying this product. I have water sensors for the basement and a meat thermometer. What is the point if I only get alerted when I check? The whole point of the alert is so I don't have to check!!!!

DEVICE ENCRYPTED - - > If you get this message when connecting to your device, contact support through the app. They will "unbind" your device so you can connect to it again. They told me this was due to Safety Lock being turned on in the settings, though I am pretty sure I didn't turn that on.

Great app. Very nicely done and easy to use but you advertise that it connects to alexa and we've never been able to get it connected. Bummer because we wanted to be able to use voice commands.

Very excited to buy the H6104 model. Set it up and everything. The app has never recognized the device but my Bluetooth is working fine. I'm very disappointed with the product. I've tried power cycling the device and redownloading this app dozens of times to no avail. Reached out for support on the app and no help either. I'm starting to feel like my money was lost.

Don't stay connected on android. I have govee linked to alexa. Works perfect via alexa app or govee with apple. But I can't even turn lights on Says failed to connect. It's been weeks I have repaired nothing works with govee app but it works with everything else. Fix your app or issue refunds we pay top dollar for this brand

well, my lights stopped connecting to my internet months ago and it cannot be fixed at least until I move out. so whenever I use this app I gotta turn Bluetooth on which is irritating because it kills my battery. Also had to make several custom colors because most of the presets were very inaccurate (ex; "orange" is fully yellow green)
