Update: I had given this app a lower rating. I was wrong. When you get this working, this is the BEST available free trail/walking/biking tracker I've found. Results in simple maps, avg velocity, distance, time, elevation. Those are the stats I want. Decent compass too. Developer cares about his app and users. Five Stars. app is great. I use it for cycling, hiking, xc skiing, hunting.
Don't get this app unless you've been to university and become a cartographer. I really wanted to like it and make it work but I couldn't figure out how to do the simplest thing. Watched lots of YouTube videos....made it clear as mud. Mostly done by the developer. I'm sure it does amazing things but that's useless if it's not intuitive. I moved on to Gaia GPS and was so thrilled I paid for the premium. Essential is designed for some sort of professional not someone simply trying to not get lost.
A very good and accurate App. Loads data easily. However I the following changes could be adopted/developed. 1.) Adopt ability to create different tasks or folders in way point when picking coordinates. 2.)make easy to load/ capture picture on a specific coordinates 3)make it easy to export kml file to excel
Very useful app. I use this to mark my field sites for my research. It's almost accurate (compared the readings with professional GPS devices). I would like if we can sync the data to cloud. I don't want to loose my data when I move to another mobile.
I've been using this app for several years and it is confidently fantastic. Hence im a geologist, i always needed a gps tool. I've got also a gps device which is made by one of the most apprecited brands (i think its not ethical to mention the brand). BUT since i've been using this application i haven't needed to take my expensive gps device on field trips anymore! This application's designe is very sophisticted, it is accurate and absolutely reliable. Im seriouse. Thanks to the providers.
This app I used on many of my earlier phones. But on my Samsung A20e it is unable to access the GPS, and I can't find a way to do so. As a result, the app is unusable to me. All other GPS apps work fine.
I'd initially given the app a 5 but of late, whenever I export my waypoints to KMZ or KML formats, they no longer work/ load on the PC GIS apps such as Google Earth or Global mapper. There seems to be an issue with the most recent update , as far as exporting data is concerned. Works great for me as a field data collector app, excellent and useful as always.
This is what I am searching for long time. Good to use. Very useful especially for marine use. Only improvement point is that it could have the features of sorting waypoints with respect to distance.. If possible kindly update that feature.
I've been using this app for about 10 years now. It does exactly what it says, the interface is clean and the layout has not changed which makes it comfortable for the eyes. I've used it multiple times during a flight to measure the air speed, it's fun and it works flawlessly. Good job!
It seems this app was developed with users in mind. I used miss my Garmin GPSMap 60csx till i found this app. It's very intuitive to use and let's me do almost everything i used my dedicated handheld GPS for. I like export to GPX and KML feature which has been of great help in my research. So big Kudos to developers.
Like the app, but it needs work. I added the "max speed" widget to the dashboard and it was easy to reset that value at the end of the trip. At first ! I pressed the "lock" icon to prevent the widgets from acidentally being moved or deleted. That function came with the added "feature" that prevented the max speed from being reset. "unlocking" had no effect. Even deleting and re-adding the widget had no effect.
