GPS Share
GPS Share lets you privately send a Google Maps link, GPS coordinates, and/or your street address of your location to whomever you want, whenever you want, however you want. Send an SMS message to rendezvous with friends at a stadium or email yourself a reminder of where you parked at the airport. Post road trip updates to Twitter.
Unlike Latitude and many other services, GPS Share does not run in the background and does not share your location with a third party. You use it when you want it.
GPS Share is free and Open Source software and has no advertising. Internet access is used only to download Google Maps tiles.

Love this app since I can tell my family where I'm at. The biggest issue I have right now is it no longer shows the address like it use to and that was the biggest reason why I downloaded it. Can y'all fix it for this trucker so my family knows exactly where I am if something happens to me?
Everything is how I want it , but my wife like to enter an address and send via Line. I have not figured out how to do this...
... but it would be even better if the accuracy of the GPS co-ordinates was also shown, and if there was an option to display the co-ordinates in decimal.

Does what it says. Doest stay running.
I've been running it on my Samsung Note 2 for years without fail. Best of all it even works without a data connection. You may not see the map but it still locates you and sends an SMS of your coords. I've also installed it on both generations of my kids phones...first on Samsung Galaxy 551 (GT-i5510M) now on the Samsung Galaxy Core LTEs...again without data, works perfectly. Only thing I would ask Ken is for one touch send buttons (max 3) or widgets to auto send to predefined receipients. Great work Ken!
This is a feature you would expect to be built in. Perhaps google should hire this guy and pay him a lot of money to make this built in. Perfect app.

Very nice app. But the messages are always sent as mms and not as sms which needs mobile data to be working. Would been more usefull if can send my coordinates without needing the mobile data.!?
